Brian H
The total link size was on the sales pages and I have not seen any way in an ISY994i 2413S/U +1000 (1023) link database. The USB RF only 2448A7 sales page says +1000 link database, The old power line only was the one with two sizes. Original 2412S/U 417 link database, later ones where 2016 link database. Problem with a ISY994i was most users found greater than about 800 links in it and things started to get missed. Link to comment

Brian H
As far as I have seen. That never happened. I have seen other posts asking the same thing. No one could verify the 2016 link database sized in a 2413S/U. The 24F128 was in the later 2412S/U. I think it was a Smarthome sales error. Or what they where told by engineering to say. That claim just went away very quietly with no comment and the >1000 quietly came back. I have V1.0 all the way to V2.5. Every one has a 24FC64 memory chip in it. If it does exists I have not seen anyone say they actually had one. The only way I know to actually tell the link database size. Is take off the top cover and read the part number on the memory chip. On the serial interface board. V2.4 has a new serial port board and the chip is on the underside. So the daughter board has to be removed to see the memory chip. Tools > Diagnostics > Show PLM links table > Count Beware that any insteon traffic during the count will cause the count to be inaccurate. Any traffic includes motion from motion detectors or heartbeats from wireless devices, etc. All programs can be stopped by putting a folder condition that will never be true on the "my Programs" folder (or root folder if named differently). The link count should be repeated until you get duplicate results, especially there are wireless devices in the system. 1 Link to comment

Brian H
Thanks for the update. Have you found any way of actually finding the size of the memory? The larger size was not being used by an ISY994i if memory is correct. As they have a size limit on their use of memory. Do you have a revision number on the back? I possibly have one and could physically look at the chip in mine. Edited January 20, 2022 by Brian H Link to comment
ISY Newbie
So what is the consensus here on the fate of serial PLM? Will they be back once the supply chain constraint is eased? Or is Smart Home pulling the plug due to low demand for the Insteon ecosystem altogether? Link to comment
Geddy
@ISY Newbie You can read the multitude of posts about this issue on here and make your own mind up. Any replies from any of us here would be speculation, personal desires, SWAGS, or perhaps comedic replies. It's a big unknown. 1 Link to comment

Unfortunately, we are sorry to inform you that the Insteon PLM (Item # 2413S) is out of stock (backorder) due to component shortages, and currently, we do not have an ETA on when the Insteon PLM (Item # 2413S) will be back in stock, but we hope to have product back in stock by mid of this year. Brian H
I was hoping if they ever do come back. It would be the new enhanced 2234-223 Serial Port, (2234-222 USB) [in the FCC database] with a universal power supply, larger and faster link database memory. 2 Link to comment
larryllix
Still a few units being bid up to gouging prices on eBay One in Ontario, Canada started at $119.95 and currently up to $152 with 6 days to go. Got an automatic bidder (a few bidders competing) raising the price on that one. V2.1 One in Tennessee, USA starting at $200, just listed and no bids on it yet and 7 days to go. V2.1 The last couple didn't get much past 200. Still a decent price but nowhere near the 3-400+ they had been going for Link to comment

Yesterdays 2.1 went for $309 CAD. Smaller market, and I can only assume US buyers don't want to take the risk + duty. Link to comment
