Techman Posted June 27 Posted June 27 (edited) Hi Chris, Does this release fix the issue with the bluetooth service losing its setting upon reboot? Backing up 5.8.4 took less than two seconds. Most impressive. I had to check my file list to make sure it actually backed up as I never received a "backing up" notice. Edited June 28 by Techman Quote

Not that I'm aware of. 3 hours ago, Techman said: Backing up 5.8.4 took less than two seconds. Most impressive. Yes, we've moved the bulk of the work from the Admin Console to the eisy and it sped things up quite a bit! I'll see why we are missing the completion notification. 3 1 Quote
Traditore Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Wow! Backing up my Polisy was lightning fast. I, too, had to check that the file was actually created. 1 Quote

wrj0 Posted June 28 Posted June 28 My eisy upgrade to v5.8.4 went well and backups are indeed very fast. My backup file size went from 6400KB in v5.8.3 to 225KB n v5.8.4. Am I missing anything? Quote
Techman Posted June 28 Posted June 28 A back up file size of 225KB is about right, 6400KB is not normal Quote

Yes, we are no longer backing up the node status history database (the database used by UD Mobile to show charts for the ongoing activity of your devices). This database can grow to a significant size so we're deciding on the best direction for pruning it and backing it up. 1 Quote

Bumbershoot Posted June 29 Posted June 29 Something janky happened with my plug-ins post upgrade — only two of twelve will restart — Ecowitt and ST-Sonos. I’ve tried reinstalling all of them to no avail. No doubt Python related? Quote

Mine took a good 15 minutes when I did that upgrade a week or 2 ago. Quote

Beaker Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Greetings. I've gone ahead and performed the upgrade. After install I am able to log into the management console and all my devices are listed etc. I come to find that I can no longer manage any devices. Z-Wave and Zigbee report not responding and my PLM status report not connected. I have power cycled the system and restarted the IoX several times with no success. Is there something additionally I can try? Cheers, Ken. Quote
Techman Posted July 1 Posted July 1 After the upgrade did you clear your java cache, checking all 3 boxes, and then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp Quote

bgrubb1 Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Resolved here too thanks Michal and a ticket. issue was a file set to update to quarterly, not latest. Suspect this occured when there was an update failure a couple of years ago when some of us changed the file to get back up Quote

Easily resolved. Quote
Beaker Posted July 2 Posted July 2 thanks all for the intel. I'll put in a ticket to get the details on how to best recover. Cheers, Ken. Quote
n_sievers Posted July 5 Posted July 5 (edited) I just tried upgrading from 5.8.3 to 5.8.4 and all seemed to go well with getting 4 finalization beeps. I cleared Java and downloaded new launcher. I went to connect to admin console and was indicating still on 5.8.3 so I initiated a reboot and have now lost connectivity. I never got the 4 beeps and when opening the launcher, my local address is no longer showing and only the "polisy.local" address shows up with a UUID of all "0" except for the final digit which is "1" but is showing it is on 5.8.4. I have tried power cycling the Polisy and the same issue occurs. When I try going to the portal address in the launcher and log in, all devices are showing no status or functionality. My whole system is now down and I have submitted a ticket so am just awaiting a response. Edited July 5 by n_sievers Quote
n_sievers Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Michel got back to me very quickly and just had to complete the upgrade to PG3x and now all is back up and running. Quote
brians Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Don’t see update available on UD Mobile. I’m too lazy to open the admin console on my PC. Quote
