Update Bricked my eisy

Featured Replies

Posted

I did the update and now my IoX seems bricked.  It is not showing up in the Admin Console finder or is it being assigned an IP address through my router.

I am able to access it through https://eisy.local:8443/desc only.  When I do I get a long error message.  I have attached a picture of the message below.

I also tried factory resetting it by pushing the button 10 times then 5 and nothing changed.

Any help would be appreciated!

Have you tried replacing EISY local with the IP address?

Can you SSH into it?

Also a second reboot is needed sometimes.  You may have to do manually.

After the update did you clear your java cache and download a new IoX Launcher?

What was your firmware version prior to updating?

I was replying to Matthew Jocko so you should address Matthew

for me JAVA cache does need to be cleared but if not it gives you issue when logging in.  His is that it wont show up at all.

You need to open a support ticket with UD.

it is not requesting DHCP from my router / not being assigned an IP address.

SSH does not work

I tried a second reboot but still not working.

Do you remember when you last updated it? Within the past couple of months, or much longer before that?

@matthewjocko you posted the same thing in three places….getting help from others and then you’ve opened a support ticket…consolidated all replies into this thread (in case replies seem out of sorts) so the help you get from others can be streamlined.

Since you’ve opened a support ticket please post here what happens to resolve your issue so that it might help others down the line.

@Geddy Thanks for consolidating everything into one place.  I think I opened the other threads on accident.  I have been talking with Michel through the support ticket and will update this thread when I have a solution.  Thanks for the help.

It is a brand new eisy Device.  I was updating it and the old Polisy prior to a migration to get them on the same firmware prior to migration.
