December 13Dec 13 Since 6.0.3 I am getting a lot of socket timeout errors when the admin console is up and I also get one if I reboot the IoX from the admin console. Are other people seeing the same? Thank you!

Unless there is a reason to have it open (for troubleshooting) then it's best to only run when adjustments are needed. 1 hour ago, btreinders said:I also get one if I reboot the IoX from the admin consoleIf you are needing to reboot often then you might have other issues that should be addresses. It's probable that you should open a support ticket with UD to see if you're having system issues they can help troubleshoot more than users randomly suggesting things on the forums. 1 hour ago, btreinders said:Are other people seeing the same? No, I'm not having any issues, but again I don't open admin console often and haven't rebooted the device since 6.0.3_3 was installed back on December 5th (for me). Try this page: https://eisy.local:8443/WEB/sysconfig.txtWhat version of IoX does it show? (please give actual and full numbers shown)

It does always eventually happen if I leave it open and I have always left it open. If it didn't take so long to get into the program editing section I would close it. Even longer now that you have to enter your email as username.19 hours ago, Geddy said:If you are needing to reboot often then you might have other issues that should be addresses. I guess I missed the issue when I did the update.19 hours ago, Geddy said:Try this page: https://eisy.local:8443/WEB/sysconfig.txtWhat version of IoX does it show? I'm not sure if UD is using different IoX versions for eisy or Polisy, but you might want to run the upgrade packages again to see if it will update IoX to 6.0.3_3. If it doesn't update then you should open a support ticket with UD to see what might be causing the socket issue. More than likely a network issue and or computer running 3rd party firewall or anti-virus is causing the connection with the Polisy to be dropped. 6 hours ago, btreinders said:If it didn't take so long to get into the program editing section I would close it. I have probably less than 100 devices and not many programs, but doesn't take long to get into the system and be able to select different tabs. Although, I must have more patience than others as I don't need it to be instant. I've never timed it, but I guess with larger systems and lots of programs it might slow down. Have you attempted to adjust the memory setting in Java to try to speed things up?https://wiki.universal-devices.com/Main_Page#Admin_Console_is_very_slow_or_hangsI would suggest if your system has a lot of memory to use 1024 or 2048 in place of 512. Sometimes it helps to set the max and min values. You can Google how to do that if you aren't sure. Either way, I wouldn't encourage admin console to be left open 24/7. Especially if you're on a laptop or wireless connection.

I had a situation with eisy that I had to get UD support involved with. It turned out eisy balked at a memory setting of 1028 and the Launcher would not open the admin console.
Monday at 10:59 AM4 days Author @Geddy Yes, I have a ton of devices and programs and I have to use 1024 to even get the AC to respond. I guess I can try 2048. I did contact support and they have me trying a new link to open the AC. It doesn't require portal username either. So far so good and they say it's a temp fix and will address the issue soon.I am on a wired connection and the PC is up 24/7 so I do leave it up and have never had any issues with that before. Hopefully I can continue to do that. Thanks!
Thursday at 08:14 PM1 day Author Solution Looks like UD made a fix for it. I created a ticket and they rolled out a new eisy-ui. 0.8.9 fixed it. It was also complicated by my Polisy being overworked. I uninstalled a few plugins that I could do without and things are much better.
