UD Mobile Suggestion to Open to Favorites

Featured Replies

I would like to make a suggestion that there is an option to set UD mobile to, by default, open to the favorites screen instead of the home screen. 99% of the time, I just have to click "favorites" after opening, and I'm guessing that is the same for a lot of others.

That's a suggestion I also made a while back, to create a "user only" mode for use by non technical people (ie: other family members, guests) and that there could be a small icon to touch in a corner that would prompt you for a password, to access the main menu.

That is a good idea too. I was just trying to teach someone how to use UD mobile and it is just way too much for a user only person to look at. A version that only opens to favorites and requires an admin password to edit the favorites.

This used to be available. I'm not sure if Android is different now or not. I guess Apple doesn't work like it once did, but I just checked and the part that is crossed out saying deprecated did work (iOS 26.4.2 / UD Mobile 1.4.23) and would launch me to favorites. I haven't tried the shortcut method mentioned in the wiki.

I 100% wish this was possible. And to have them setup their own favorite screen so things would just be a big remote and just have tiles to press to turn things on/off.

Neat, it does work on the android version. Thanks for the tip!

My Android skips from lock edits to favorites span. I don't have the launch preference. Is it somewhere else in Android?

EDIT: Don't know if this matters, but I have two ISY's on my UD mobile acct. Doesn't matter which I look under, it is the same, it skips that field.

No, for android you press and hold the shortcut on your phone to launch UD mobile on your screen. A mini menu pops up, asking how you want to launch it.

For Android, go to the main app and long press it. In the pop up, you will see Favorites with a + sign. Hit that followed by add to home screen.

The new short cut on the home screen will open to Favorites.

I don't know who has access to the Wiki, but when tidbits like this are shared, can they also be added to the Wiki?
