Friday at 02:17 AM2 days I've been hunting on this forum for about 30 minutes as to how to upgrade my Eisy. I see the post that Java will no longer be supported. Good riddance! But the link takes me to an article that is a "mile long" and I can't find the tree for the forrest.I'm probably blind but I don't see any instructions or a "button" in my console to upgrade.Message to UDI: Make this stupid simple, so stupid people like me can click a button and upgrade. You guys know this system inside and out, but many of us just want a simple link to upgrade. Shouldn't this be in the console, and if it is, maybe make it more obvious? Didn't there used to be a notification of an upgrade? As much as I hate Microsoft upgrading my system without my consent, it is simple and it just works. Please, can someone point me to a procedure that is not a mile long on how to upgrade my eisy?I am truly sorry about the complaining. Feel free to call me blind, stupid, cranky, or anything else. Edited Friday at 02:19 AM2 days by nowandthen
Friday at 03:23 AM2 days Ya know I felt the same way. I think it's platform fatigue, at some point you have just had to learn, so so many CLI structure's, interfaces, and GUI's. My stepmom was a Novell NetWare guru and one day in her 70's I caught her banging her fist on her laptop and it just needed a power setting adjustment, it'd gone to sleep.
Friday at 11:41 AM2 days If on a version less than 6.1.x , upgrade is the same as it has been for years. Admin Console > Configuration > Upgrade Packages.Moving forward everything is now in the browser. eisy.local (or local ip adddres) or secure remote at uuid.isy.io (were uuid is just numbers and letters, no colons). Menu > System > Upgrade
Friday at 06:32 PM2 days I hear ya Now. I've been procrastinating for months but finally just did it. Backed up ZWave, then IoX, then hit the Upgrade Packages button. After about 35 minutes UDMobile told me I need to reboot, then about 15 minutes later got a notice on my phone that a Node Servers was starting up. Went to http://eisy.local/nodes in Chrome on my MacBook and watched nodes come back to life (status: Connected). So stinkin EISY (see what i did there), should have done it months ago.
Friday at 06:43 PM2 days When I try to use Firefox to browse to http://eisy.local I get a login page where it either rejects my login with an unknown error, or the page disappears in a couple of seconds and displays:Unable to connectFirefox can’t connect to the server at eisy.local:3000Anybody know why it is doing this? Thanks.

Just now1 min Author My experience, and maybe this will help others...I was on 6.0.4I did upgrade packages as instructed by Javi.I let it do it's thing. I believe it was done after the upgrade message went away, (I waited maybe 20-30 minutes).I closed the console then clicked on IoX launcher, Was presented with the usual URL in the launcher window. I clicked on the URL, nothing happened, (anxiety level rising). So I tried a link listed above http://eisy.local. Nothing! Anxiety level rising. I use Firefox, that was not working "Unable To Connect" anxiety level rising. Someone had success with Hoover/ Shark/Dyson errr Google Chrome, I gathered my courage and tried it, still no luck. Anxiety level rising.I typed in the local address of my eisy 192.168.xx.xx, the screen alternately showed a login screen and flashed white over and over agin. Unusable. Anxiety level rising.I ended up unplugging my eisy and plugging it back in. After a short while I was able to log into the eisy using the local ip address 192.168.xx.xx. I did not try IoX launcher.So...Upgrade is not straight forward, but as usual, I got through it. Hopefully you can too.I thought I read interface looks the same as the console. which I am not seeing, but that's okay. I will adapt. Good riddance Java! Looking forward to smoother upgrades. To the UDI team; I would not be an Insteon if not for this device, wait, maybe that should be "the the Insteon team". ????Thank you EiSY team!
