Support thread for: IoX v.5.5.0
I have a Zen17 in my garage that worked fine on the Zooz dongle. With ZMatter it doesn't seem to be able to change the parameters and I want to set it up as a door open/close sensor... eg. parameter 2 and 3 (for relays 1 and 2) set to a value of 7, then exclude/include the device and extra nodes should appear. None of the other parameters seem to work either eg. isolating relay from the sensor... it actually doesn't appear to show all the nodes anyways and just shows two binary switches but normally should have the switches separate from the inputs. I have done this many times with the Polisy and Zooz. On ZMatter I am including with no S2 selected... the Zen17 is way up high and I can't access the code right now, but am able to press its button to include/exclude. I have garage door sensor on switch 1, and button hooked to switch 2. As a workaround for now I made a program to turn off the switch 2 after a second to simulate momentary. I had placed them on separate relays just in case when I originally installed. Normally the sensor is isolated from relay and it shows up as an actual door with open/close when parameter 2/3 is set to 7. Now this doesn't work and it is an on/off binary switch and it is kinda backwards - on=door closed. I mainly use it for an alert if garage door is open for too long and also ability to control with ISY if needed. I have a cheap homekit sensor that I use wired in parallel anyways that I use quite often with Siri which is separate from ISY - I could not find a good way to make garage door appear in homekit via homebridge other than original Insteon IOLinc (which die of course).

[Solved in 5.5.3] Device mismatch, Removing all existing .
Do you have an option to include and don't select S2?

Asbril, I have been thinking that it would be good time spent over Xmas for you to press the Move to ZMatter button and manually redo all your 80+ devices again

I never removed my zwave devices prior to pressing the move to zmatter button. It removes all the devices for you. Then on zmatter just exclude first (which resets the device), then include. Curious how many devices you had? It took me a few hours off and on to redo my 20 devices. Regarding Mobilinc, I think I must have purchased every version of that back in the day but with Mobilinx I did not like the subscription model and the use of it seemed to be more for the type of person that wants to setup everything from their phone, which I am not like that. Fortunately UD Mobile exists so there is an official mobile app now.

ZMatter Basic Scene/Associations how to use in v5.5.0
The screenshot shows device with ZW and zmatter uses ZY naming so this tells me you are not moved over to zmatter. When you convert to zmatter you will be able to do those associations. Until then you will not.

Zwave S0 & S2
Sorry I misunderstood original question. They will be part of same mesh, according to everything I have read about the protocol.

Zwave S0 & S2
You can have them all on same controller. I choose to run no security on all mine. If you want to use basic associations then those devices must be same security.

ZMatter Basic Scene/Associations how to use in v5.5.0
Interested if anyone can test a Zen32 since I returned mine.

How do you plan on using it then with eisy? Did you order a usb enclosure and plan on moving to the eisy? Since you currently do not have v5.5.0 installed I would at least do that for now on polisy then you will be at least one step forward.

Not sure in the firmware version but it may just download it all during setup. I would presume is latest v5.5.0 You should definitely update polisy to 5.5.0 Zwave is fully operational on it using zmatter board. Upgrade using ac and if you have issue open a ticket. Did you order a separate zmatter for your eisy?

I got this working on an Everspring STB12 flood detector. I changed setting to basic set on my leak sensor as per pic below (ignore that I have highlighted binary switch in screenshot, I actually selected basic set) and I can now see it in event viewer don and doff for that node. I was then able to add in a program condition for that node using "control is on". Note that the node itself does not show on/off and there is no status available in programs, only using control which works in my case... tested the leak sensor and causes my program to run now as before.

ZMatter Basic Scene/Associations how to use in v5.5.0
I recently upgraded to V5.5.0 and running all my ZWave off ZMatter. The feature I have been waiting for is here and I show how I got it to work. In the screenshots, ZY 022 and ZY 023 are Zooz Zen71 switches. If just add the on-off power switches, it only has the following Command, Default, Ignore and the zwave switches will not control each other at all like before eg. Zooz or ISY994i where the controller made a virtual scene through the ISY. Looking at show native links for ZY 022 see that it is ZY022_242N002, in my case is the node ZY 022 Basic Assoc Only 2 node Adding those two nodes into the scene enables the Z-Wave Basic MC option and z-wave switches now control each other directly using basic association You need to have the power switch nodes controlled from the basic assoc 2 nodes, otherwise you will not see the Z-Wave Basic MC option. What is happening is the basic assoc 2 nodes are actually controlling the power switch nodes using basic set commands. IMPORTANT: don't set the switch controlling to use Z-Wave Basic MC on itself, just the other switch otherwise it ends up switching very slow and reason probably because turning each other on/off multiple times.. NOTE: how I have ZY 022 set to itself in screenshot and DO NOT DO THIS LIKE I HAVE IN SCREENSHOT ABOVE - default or ignore is desired setting. I do the same for ZY 023 ignoring itself but set for Z-Wave Basic MC for ZY 022. (To control Insteon devices, must add the scene button nodes and set accordingly - explained in a further post in this thread.) Some switches may be different and not have these Basic Assoc nodes. Looking at a couple GE and Jasco switches they have these nodes but I have not tested yet. Older Leviton don't have these nodes therefore don't support basic associations. You should be safe with anything newer, and in fact I am going to probably replace my three Leviton switches now, because they also don't even do instant status - time to retire them. FYI, Basic Set 2 is for on/off and Basic Set 3 is for multilevel eg. dimmers so if have dimmers (I don't) you would add the Basic Assoc Only 3 to the scene in addition. https://products.z-wavealliance.org/products/3858/assoc?noFilename=True What good it this? In my case now I can have ISY make ZWave devices linked up to turn on/off in a virtual 3-way. The switching is near instantaneous and similar to Insteon scene performance. Not implying it is as good as Insteon scenes (it is not) but it is much better than having the ISY simulating the scene instead by sending all the commands through the controller.

How many zwave devices do you have? I had around 20 and didn't take me long to redo on ZMatter. FYI, by default ISY queries on a restart which can be disabled in configuration.

Support thread for: IoX v.5.5.0
Ahh ok I reread and it seems that may be still using the Zooz stick with ZMatter installed. It sounds to a Query issue I experienced, which hangs up everything and I have had that issue for a long time since getting Polisy and even on ISY994i. I disabled Query on startup and made my own custom query program that just queries devices I want. Having upgraded to v5.5.0 the full query seems to be a lot better though, but I am not 100% sure on this. However, this thread is for v5.5.0 support so still recommend he upgrades to v5.5.0.

Support thread for: IoX v.5.5.0
I don’t think zmatter was ever officially supported working on v5.4.5. Even though it seemed to work for some, it was always stated by UD we would need an update to support it. I’d suggest to upgrade to v5.5.0.

Support thread for: IoX v.5.5.0
You can upgrade to 5.5.0 now but will not gain any new features as far as I know if continue to use the Zooz dongle. Just don't press the move to Zmatter button if you want to continue using Zooz Z-Wave. Proper procedure is AC but that has not seemed to work for anyone in this thread and had to resort to manually updating a package via ssh, reboot (several reboots in my case) and then update in AC works. If you are confused by it, and do not like taking risk of breaking everting (like I do LOL), then I would not click the Move to Zmatter button, but go ahead and try to go to v5.5.0. Future upgrades will most likely be easier once at this version. Considering you have an EISY on the way, I am not sure if there is a migration plan to move from Zooz USB on Policy to an EISY with ZMatter. You probably will have to do the migration on the existing Polisy because it will need access to the Zooz and current Wave setup, then backup.restore to EISY... I don't think the software that comes on an EISY will recognize Zooz and will default to ZMatter only. I am not sure on this maybe could get some clarification on the upgrade procedure. I moved nearly 20 devices over yesterday and took me a few hours, off and on, to redo my programs and scenes. I also had to redo those Z-Wave devices in my Amazon Alexa and remove the old, and also HomeBridge/HomeKit needed some minor work (see below). The only issues I have are a leak sensor not having a node that reports the actual leak, and Hail not working correctly which I use for a few old Leviton Z-Wave switches (I am told will be fixed in next release). I did notice that many Z-Wave devices have an extra node or two which did not have before on the Zooz, so I am not sure how this will be handled in their migration when they ever get working (I can only imagine how complicated must be for them to try to keep track of every scenario like this). When you click that move to ZMatter, the Admin Console restarts and ALL your old Z-Wave nodes are gone (well in my case I had four lingering ones from Zen17 and GE light switch I had to manually delete). Any new Z-Wave added start with prefix ZY instead of ZW now. I had to change an entry in my Homebridge to ignore ZY instead of ZW so I don't get dozens of unnecessary devices show up in HK. Programs in AC will show a comment regarding the deleted Node ZW ID so it is easy to keep track of what it was referencing while I redid programs because I kept a record of all my old Z-Wave IDs prior to upgrading, and recorded the new ZY ID of each device.

What is the EISY?
Hope you will still continue to develop the existing Java interface and don't intend to replace it entirely with UD mobile!

Wall Mounting Polisy w/ Wi-fi and ZWave in living space
Got the shelf and installed (there were two in box like other Amazon reviewers mentioned). Worked out good. My Polisy is in basement furnace room and you can see PLM plugged in via the blue custom serial cable I made out of a Cisco console cable. Before this, I had polisy resting sideways on top of the UPS but with the ZMatter antennas that would no longer work.

Remove power from polisy and plug back in. A normal reboot won’t reboot the zooz dongle if it is hung up. That is what fixed for me before I switched to zmatter.

Let me get this straight... Polisy --> ZMatter --> USB enclosure --> eISY
I upgraded from Zooz to ZMatter today (all manually). The first device I included was a Yale Assure lock. Before with ISY994i/500 series, and Polisy/Zooz I always had to try several times until it adopted, and even then it seemed to take a while before it became more reliable over time. Adding a few other ZW Plus devices to use as repeaters nearby also seemed to be required. But I was surprised that the lock by itself, with no repeaters, worked perfect first try and was reliable as only Z-Wave device!!! Since then I have added about 18 other devices and no communication issues... just a couple quirks irrelevant to communication that I am discussing over in the support thread. FYI, my Polisy is downstairs basement, about 15 ft. from front lock which is on the main level.

Support thread for: IoX v.5.5.0
I added my Zen17 to ZMatter a few min ago and seems to work and updates to on/off in real time when I jumper it. However I just left it at default where the sensor input is linked to the relay because I only am using it to detect one thing so doesn't really matter. On old Zooz configuration I had set parameter 2,3 to dry contact sensor and 10,11 to isolate the relay. I may change it later but it's late. I have a Zen17 in garage configured before as door open/close so I will do that one tomorrow and update if goes well. I uncheck all the S1,S2 security when adding, maybe that makes a difference?

I am also having a similar issue with a Everspring ST812 Leak detector. It adds a bunch of nodes like the battery level, alarm etc. but when I trigger the leak sensor I get the popup that a button was detected. I cannot access this button or status in programs. Please provide me instructions to send info for device info so you can check it out.

Support thread for: IoX v.5.5.0
Yes I have it set that way but what I mean I get no response and program does not run like before, and I do not even see any Hail events in the event viewer (like I did before in Zooz/ISY etc.)

Support thread for: IoX v.5.5.0
I added more devices with no major issues. I always de-select all the S1, S2 security on the few that gave option and leave no security. I don't think security is super necessary for a light switch or dimmer. So far have added in addition to my Yale Assure door lock: Leviton DZPA1-2BW Outlet Plugin switch Z-Link ZL-PD-100 Outlet Plugin Lamp Dimmer Leviton DZ15S-1RZ Wall Switch GE Enbrighten 46201 In Wall Paddle Switch Jasco 26931 In Wall Smart Motion Switch One issue so far: the Leviton switches do not support status updates and I rely on programs that detect Hail and do a query. The ZMatter Z-Wave does not appear to support hail so my programs do not work and I cannot see status if switch is turned on/off manually. A manual query however does update so it is just the Hail that is not working. I will create a program that queries maybe every 15 min as a workaround for now as these are not very critical.
