  1. It is possible that IoX and Admin Console require a state (query does this) before it will turn it on or off. Considering you migrated to ZMatter maybe there is something wrong with some of your ZWave devices not responding which causes IoX to go a bit brain-dead and sluggish.... therefore query may be hung on these during a reboot. How many ZWave devices do you have? Open AC and look at lower left and see if there is lots of activity (ie. system busy) after a restart. Sounds to me like you are running only three Insteon devices... two lamplincs and an IOLinc. Just make sure your query on restart is working.
  2. What happens when you manually turn on/off the lamplinc, does it report status to AC? What about sending a fast on?
  3. Are you trying to send simple on or off commands, or are you using something like UD Mobile, or Alexa? The query program on startup set the state of light in IoX, and I found that a switch was in and unknown state I could not control using those methods.
  4. I did similar and worked for years. Like the instructions say, you need to have separate led sync programs that check for the state of the fanlinc and calls the appropriate scene which will also set the KPL LEDs. I don't do exactly same way and found you also don't need to waste a KPL button for Fan off since they all toggle so just press whatever one is lit up to turn off again Therefore, I don't check if kpl is off to turn it on, it doesn't hurt anything this way if one of the sync programs is triggered by actual scene or physical button, and can use the buttons to toggle fan speed on/off and eliminate the discrete off button to use for something else. Master Bedroom Fan Hi - [ID 003B][Parent 0033] If 'Master Bedroom / Master Bedroom Fan' Status is High Then Set 'MBedroom Fanlinc Scenes / Master Bedroom KPL Fan Hi' On Else Set 'MBedroom Fanlinc Scenes / Master Bedroom KPL Fan Hi' Off ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Master Bedroom Fan Lo - [ID 003D][Parent 0033] If 'Master Bedroom / Master Bedroom Fan' Status is Low Then Set 'MBedroom Fanlinc Scenes / Master Bedroom KPL Fan Lo' On Else Set 'MBedroom Fanlinc Scenes / Master Bedroom KPL Fan Lo' Off ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Master Bedroom Fan Med - [ID 003C][Parent 0033] If 'Master Bedroom / Master Bedroom Fan' Status is Medium Then Set 'MBedroom Fanlinc Scenes / Master Bedroom KPL Fan Med' On Else Set 'MBedroom Fanlinc Scenes / Master Bedroom KPL Fan Med' Off ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I replaced my KPL that controled fan recently and am using Home assistant and a different device, so just going from old docs/notes here. I don't have the scenes anymore since I deleted them from IoX, but I think I just had the KPL for each scene turn on or off. When the state of fanlinc changes, it will trigger the appropriate program to set the corresponding scene based on lo, med, hi. The elses in the other programs will also trigger, turning those LEDs off (it will turn off LEDs that are already off, but doesn't matter really and keeps the programs simple).
  5. For security reasons, ZWave locks typically do not allow inclusion through a repeater and has to be done direct to the ZWave controller initially, after that they will work fine. By moving to the EISY they actually get re-interviewed/re-included into the new ZMatter controller so that may be the issue.
  6. Philips Hue bulbs use zigbee and no special protocol. They are a bit tricky since they need to be reset first either using hue bridge, hue remote, but newer bulbs support Bluetooth and simply use the hue phone app to reset. Other bulbs like sengled I think you just power cycle 5 times to reset and out in pairing mode. If UD uses standard bulb commands/messages they should work - I don’t think Hue use any non standard messages for bulb control but specific vendor things like bulb power on mode and effects that are not zigbee standard may need specific handling. For example, on Home Assistant this is handled by a converter if using Zigbee2MQT or a quirk if using ZHA. UD seems like they will be manually adding support over time for common device types, and popular specific devices and requests. For example most switches have probably all same features and use common messages to turn on/off but some may have non standard features like energy monitoring, or maybe led status control which require special support.
  7. There was no Zigbee support enabled in ZMatter board until today's 5.6.3 release.
  8. What about this water valve controller... https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0BVQXKC9F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have one and works OK, I am sure people here would find use for these to control outdoor irrigation or other applications.
  9. Motion sensors... Philips Hue Motion Sensor is probably the best one I tried with reliability and build quality. Current version is SML003 https://www.philips-hue.com/en-us/p/hue-motion-sensor/046677570972 I have tried Aqara P2 but they don't work reliably unless using an Aqara Zigbee Hub, and will drop off the network after a few hours. The only good thing the P2 would have been good for was had a programmable 1-2 sec motion reset time (which is very fast for battery motion), where the Hue is 10 seconds I believe.. but this is not really an issue I found and is irrelevant since they don't work. For those starting with Zigbee, i recommend getting a couple of these Sonoff S31 since they work good as repeaters, but I have not yet tried with IoX yet so maybe hold off until these are verified working! https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B08GKK89QQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  10. Yes I installed on Polisy and works although I am not physically at home yet But I do get the Zigbee menu at top now that I enabled and restarted and it sees controller according to Zigbee Z-Ray... And to answer my question above, mine is using Channel 26. Integer DATA controller.data.defaultRadioChannel = 26 (0x0000001a) Looks like they chose to put it way high up on the top end which is good for me since my HA Zonoff Zigbee coordinator is channel 11, and my Thread border router in HA is channel 15. So I can run this with no issue.
  11. I will try later on, I am sure someone else will beat me to this though I have a couple GE Zigbee switches... https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B019HTH2A0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I honestly think Z-Wave Zooz Zen72 are better for few extra $... these GE ones are bigger and don't fit in box as nice, but still work OK.
  12. I had the exact same experience, required a 2nd reboot in AC for PG3X to come back. I am using Polisy.
  13. Any support for wall switches? I don't have any spare bulbs to test. I do update now remotely, and will test later when home and see. What channel does it use, and can this be changed?
  14. I never had one brick but my sample size is much smaller around 24 devices. I have read that can brick them if flash incorrect firmware but have never really heard of this as a widespread issue. (It is always a risk of bricking any device when performing a firmware upgrade). I have flashed in the past with the Silabs software on PC but lately do with Home Assistant which supports OTA using Z-Wave JS UI - generally it only shows updates that are available from reputable, offical site but you can also OTA any file you download and choose. I think maybe 15 or so devices I have upgraded using OTA on HA while others don't have upgrades available like my Watercop and old device like Everspring leak sensor. I have found that generally no benefit in upgrading firmware except if a new feature is added... eg. Zen32 and Zen17 seem to be only devices that really made a difference.
  15. What about Zigbee OTA
  16. Worked but I must have missed the part in the instructions where need to restart polisy after doing the update in order to access the web page.
  17. Ya, it seems that if you want to use the advanced, or extra features of a device, you would still require setup and use of the device manufacturers app, otherwise you often just get basic functionality. Matter could technically work in a Polisy or EISY without the ZMatter board, if the Matter device is ethernet, not Thread. A phone will be required either way to pair a Matter device because, because requires BLE to initially setup. This would require an update to UD Mobile which I would assume they are working on. There may be other ways to setup, but a phone with BLE seems to be the standard now at least. Even Home Assistant requires the mobile app to setup Matter devices and is not possible to do with normal interface on a PC. The whole thing seems designed around systems that do not require a HA smart controller and user just uses their phone app to do everything, on boarding similar to way HomeKit already does where you scan a code... just now is a Matter code instead and now Amazon and Google will have to scan code now. It is a bit foreign and convoluted process for people currently used to and using "real" home automation controllers... but average user with their phone only will be right at home with this! There are several Matter devices out now that use WiFi... light bulbs, a door lock, smart plugs. More recently we are starting to see some more Thread devices like power plugs and door sensors (which would require the ZMatter board). However, they are more expensive than current Zigbee products, and no real reason to buy now, unless you are exclusive HomeKit, Amazon, or Google Home user maybe.
  18. I used Zen71 switches and had them controlling fine using Basic Association. I actually had this working before, using SI Labs software, prior to ZMatter and the new Z-Wave version from UDI which supports basic association. Please note this from that thread: "You need to have the power switch nodes controlled from the basic assoc 2 nodes, otherwise you will not see the Z-Wave Basic MC option. What is happening is the basic assoc 2 nodes are actually controlling the power switch nodes using basic set commands." You have to set each switch to control the other one. All the info should be there in the thread. If you post screenshots of your scenes it may help. I don't use Z-Wave on my Polisy IoX anymore (it is only like an Insteon bridge for my old Insteon devices) so I can only be of so much help here since going from memory...
  19. Proprietary? Z-Wave.Me Z-Wave and Zigbee mPCIe adapter If they woulda used a USB only design would have been way cheaper... strange because EISY only supports USB which adds this additional unneeded cost. Anyways, doesn't matter much about the price as long as it works... but currently only is doing Z-Wave, not Zigbee (which is off-topic here - not to mention Thread... )
  20. 800 series is not that big of a deal if you already have 700 series from what I have read. In fact, I made the decision to stick with 700 in my Home Assistant instead of going to 800 dongle, but I have option to upgrade at least. Makes me wonder now why the zmatter is so expensive?!?
  21. Nice that all those restart options etc. are removed. I just notice that I cannot access the original PG2 website anymore, not sure when this was removed. Not that it is of any use anymore, just curious... can you confirm?
  22. You need a variable (not state) to keep track of the status of the light - update your existing program to set that variable. eg. kps8stat=1 or kps8stat=0. Then make a new toggle program like Javi linked to and run-if this new program, when press the button in UD Mobile... the if will test the variable status eg. kps8stat to run either if/then of your actual program that turns lights on/off and that program will also update this variable status. The variable status will update if toggled manually. You many have to make another scene to set the KPL LED status if toggled from UD Mobile. You can also use that variable to set the button status in UD Mobile - eg. change color etc.
  23. Ya I am not sure why have to put delays in with IoX. It seems it is not able to queue commands internally. They should fix this - no reason to need delays. I had this issue with many different things and caused unreliability in programs. Also would be great if they had option for programs to complete without being rerun again by an action.
  24. Those with issue, have you tried from a different computer? I have no issues from two different computers, but maybe is some cached info incorrect on the PC itself. Can someone explain why would want to use cloud vs LAN anyways?
  25. Those buttons are designed like that, they are to turn scenes on. There is no off. They are meant to just do something when pressed, or multiple times etc. Zen32 is sorta crippled and above link I got working ok in ISY with LED sync. I recommend using programs and stay away from scenes. Z-Wave Basic Association is not recommended (even by Zooz). I have since switched over my Z-Wave to Home Assistant, which my automation is similar idea to the IoX programs. Your Hubitat probably had a plugin or something that made it easy to setup, just like Home Assistant has blueprints which others made that can do the same.. but nothing like that for IoX... programs haven't evolved much at all in the 15 years I have been using.
