That's cool! You could make all sorts of combinations You might need another ISY just for that keypad Rand

Release 2.6.3 is now available (RC2)
Sub-Routine replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
You aren't unzipping it, are you? Point the ISY at the zip file and the ISY will uncrunch it. Rand -
Status is the state of a device and control is when you press a button. Rand

Dumped my link table (SwitchLink) - Can't restore??
Sub-Routine replied to IndyMike's topic in ISY994
Can you create a scene with those devices? Then only one command is sent and all devices respond to it. Rand -
Shut off all lights when I turn on a scene (can't find post)
Sub-Routine replied to andrew77's topic in ISY994
Yes, that's how you do it! I have avoided the mutually exclusive buttons and instead I use non-toggle on. By doing this the scene can not be turned off. There are a few lights I leave on, in a dimmed state, all the time. Rand -

You will have to include lights 4 and 5 in the scene button C calls. Controlling the state of a button on a keypad does not control any devices linked to it. Rand -
You have to record that meeting!

Can you use the Off/Off sequence? If Status 'Basement Stairs' is Off And Control 'Basement Stairs' is switched Off Then Set 'Basement Stairs' 30% Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Rand
-
That's a cool idea! I suppose if you knew the offset of your alarm compared to sunrise you could modify the offset of the other actions, compared to sunrise, by the same amount. Variables are promised in Triggers 2.0. Rand
-
You should always follow a Fade Up/Down with a Fade Stop. If From Sunset - 1 hour To Sunrise + 1 hour (next day) And Status 'Rec Room Stairs Top' is Off And ( Control 'Rec Room Theater Front' is switched Off Or Control 'Rec Room Theater Front' is switched Fast Off Or Control 'Rec Room Theater Front' is switched Fade Down ) Then Set Scene 'Rec Room Stairs 3-way' Fade Up Wait 5 seconds Set Scene 'Rec Room Stairs 3-way' Fade Stop Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Rand
-
You can set the button to non-toggle off if that is good for you. Rand
-
Yes. You could insert the Status check for experimenting with your program and remove it for implementation. Rand
-
If you check the Status of 'Rec Room Theater Front' then the program should work. You are checking the Control. Rand
-
An EZInput should be able to determine the state of a mechanical switch.
-
Thank goodness you finally escaped from that trap Perhaps your discoveries deserve a place in the FAQs. Rand

I create a backup before I add any new devices or make a major change Rand

Select a button that is marked Toggle and select Toggle On/Off. Follow the dialog to change the state to Non-Toggle. I see there is still a cosmetic glitch in the Toggle display window but the function works properly. I suggest you change one button at a time. Rand
-
I don't think that is correct. Try deleting all the buttons other than the controllers.

Hey Joe, Here's the link: thread. It might be the same difference either way... Rand

This works great through the browser. But, if you are using the Media Center interface so your Windows Media Center and extenders can control your lighting, your scenes do not show the devices. Bummer
-
Thanks, Rand! Does not the ISY follow the group command with clean-ups for each group member? If it does not, or if it does and we count the group+cleanups as one command, then yes. AFAIK, yes every group command is followed with cleanup commands. How many status lights do you have for any one group? Cleanup commands are broken off (abandoned) as soon as another direct or group command is issued or encountered. Yes group + cleanups = 1 command, AFAIK. Isn't that the quickest response in this case? Since you are continuously monitoring the statuses of the devices in the scene changing any one should change the status no matter what the status of any other device in the scene. If no device changes status the program never runs. If the program runs it means a status must have changed. There is a discussion about that somewhere. I made the suggestion that the status light Status be checked following a Control command before the Statuses of any more devices were checked. If the status lights were already on/off when an On/Off was received that no other status checks would be necessary. I'm sorry if this is a bit confusing, I have been under the influenza Rand
-
Very good JAJ. The only thing I would change is that I would not bother to check the Status of the status lights. The programs are only going to send one group command. Rand

A factory reset on the switches should delete any links and X10 addresses. Then use Restore Device on each one.
-
No. No Elk nor any other Insteon controller... just the ISY. Isn't this you? I don't know what a Stargate is but when I first read your post I thought X10 especially when I read Rand
