KPL Relay ~ Dual Colored LED's???
OK, so your latest KPL Relay when you press any button the bottom clear set button doesn't show any color whether its red / green? If that is the case SH will need to change the Advert and update the 2014 full users manual. Lastly, does your KPL Relay beep when you press any of the buttons?!?! By default its off and the manual indicates to press and hold together B & C buttons. Doing so has no impact in enabling the beep feature. I need it to be turned on for a person with vision impairment and thus isn't a nice to have but a ~ must have!

KPL Relay ~ Dual Colored LED's???
Paul, Are you talking about LED TX? Just to be clear you have a fairly new KPL Relay and not KPL Dimmer you're speaking of? [emoji848] I don't see the option to enable / disable anything under 5.X.X Can you provide a screen shot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

KPL Relay ~ Dual Colored LED's???
Purchased two Keypad Linc Relay's as part of the dimmer package during the 25% discount sale for a large project. As seen below in the link and image capture it indicates the KPL Relay offers dual colored red and green status LED's embedded under the clear set button. This is present in the various KPL Dimmers for sure as I have many of them in place. I've been told that the KPL Relay does NOT have the dual colored red and green LED under the set button?!?! Can anyone who has a recent KPL Relay chime in to confirm it either lights up or doesn't for me. https://www.smarthome.com/keypadlinc-insteon-2487s-6-button-scene-control-keypad-with-on-off-switch-dual-band-white-alt.html

PLM forgetting all links \ ISY Restore PLM fixes \ bad PLM ??
I have purposely waited for the 2K link table 2413S PLM to arrive. Thank God, I didn't push the button during the 25% discount sale! I'm going to wait another six months to be doubly sure all the old stock is gone . . .

Quality Wireless Motion Sensor for the ISY?
It's the only way to go if you're serious about long term reliability and performance. You will never have to worry about replacing silly batteries or RF issues. I have a few Insteon devices deployed outside and this was done solely with the knowledge the product was not so rated. That the product more than likely would have a very short service life but I knew this going in. My intent was to validate and prove the technology was at X stage and to know in real world conditions how it did in my environment. As of this writing I can say extreme cold weather operations for their Open-Close sensor, Switch Linc Dimmer / Relay, On-Off Module, Motion Sensor I, I/O Linc, have all passed with flying colors in operations and longevity. For the very short but intense summers they too have performed well. I've had a v1 motion sensor up on a pole for more than nine years that is powered by a rechargeable lithium cell that has a home made solar charging circuit up there all nine years. Still works perfectly and is used solely for the purpose of Home Automation Integration. Haven't climbed that 25 foot pole in years and hope never to again!

Quality Wireless Motion Sensor for the ISY?
I'm not sure what your over all intent is but with out serious forethought deploying cheap sensors will give you nothing but headaches. Even the best in class enterprise sensors are installed in very narrow and specific places / zones. The bulk of them are ground embedded sensors, beam sensors, laser grid, etc. If all you care about is turning on a motion light(s) to offer perimeter awareness and protection. Consider going that route and integrate a Insteon micro switch to have that integration and awareness. For long term use, its assumed you spec the hardware to endure harsh outdoor environmentals. IP and temperature rating is paramount in the longevity of the sensor. None of the above even addresses the endless false alarms that will ensue with a improper placement and mounting. Ground embedded sensors are the closest thing to fool proof because *Human / Animal* must literally pass over the field to trip. Beam and laser grid sensors of the highest caliber are expensive and require investment in infrastructure that many will not accept.

PLM forgetting all links \ ISY Restore PLM fixes \ bad PLM ??
LOL . . . I must be getting really old but didn't the existing units already have a beeper inside?? Also, the 2413S PLM is one of the lightest units they make so the fact its even *Lighter* does not instill confidence in me. Back in the day the shear weight was an indicator of relative quality as the frame, heat sinks, component count directly impacted the weight for various hardware. I have no clue what is happening inside of this so called new company but its clear to me imbeciles continue to manage and work there. It's only been ten freaking years and they still can't produce a reliable (critical piece) of hardware to last beyond two years!! More than three years have passed and not a word on the UDI Global PLM . . . Ladies and gentleman there is little hope this is in the cards or will ever appear ~ sad.

$23.00 ISY Portal Subscription
LOL . . . I can say if the opportunity presented itself I would invest into the UDI company.

$23.00 ISY Portal Subscription
The current renewal price is only $12.00 USD per year there after.

$23.00 ISY Portal Subscription
I guess its been awhile since I last reviewed the costs for the ISY Portal. I believe in the past a two year subscription was the standard $49.00 for the two years. That's $24.50 per year or $0.067 per day to use the ISY Portal and the many features it offers. Fast forward to June 30, 2018, I decided to enroll another ISY Series Controller for the ISY Portal for a long term project. To my shock and amazement the ISY Portal's everyday price is $23.00 for two years?!?! Or $11.50 per year which comes out to be a meager $0.0315 per day!! As many here know I am truly not a fan of subscription services and believe Michel indicated in the past, either is he. Having said this, its quite apparent Michel and company are dead serious in making the ISY Portal one of the major building blocks for the ISY Series Controller. So in offering the ISY Portal for such a low price it makes the decision to purchase said portal subscription a no brainer!! Thank You to Michel and Company in offering one of the best values, service, and Home Automation Controller in the world. I'll be blogging about this in many other forums I frequent when the topic arises for sure. As an aside, I believe this is a good move to help push the adoption of the ISY Portal while also bolstering a modest revenue stream for the company. I hope to see more portal integration features for cloud based services which pertain to HVAC services. I'm not a fan of this whole cloud dependency for various reasons. But, since this is the direction the entire industry is heading my views are to embrace it if and when it makes sense. I believe connecting the companies like Nest, EcoBee, Honeywell, et all . . . Should be the first step of this whole cloud based integration as this will allow the *Me Too* crowd the ability to easily and seamlessly integrate the ISY Series Controller with out the need to prop up some kind of middleware such as a RPi. There are many existing solutions such as Polyglot, Node Link, etc which help those technical enthusiasts to accomplish this now. But, again the reason so many of the *Me Too* crowd have gravitated in droves to the likes of Smartthings is the dead easy setup, slick UI, and massive integration with various products and services. Looking forward to seeing what the UDI team has under their sleeve for 2018 and beyond ~ Thank You!!

I don't use 2FA or application specific password for this ISY Series Controller. I simply use a really long and complex password which exceeds 12~16 characters. ? At any rate please clear both logs. Go back to the SMTP tab and select TEST send. Now download both logs and let us know what errors appear. The UDI WiKi will offer a general idea of the fault issue. This will help narrow down the root cause. Just for fun select the default mail server provided by UDI. Does mail arrive? [emoji848] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi Bill, For the sake of checking please ensure your SMTP settings mirror mine and changing out what ever you need for your specific user details. Please ensure the FROM section looks something like what you see here in the image capture. Lastly, if you haven't tried using this port give it a try.

Quick Water Sensor
Sure here you go: http://www.getfloodstop.com/ The benefit of the flat and round sensors is that they can be daisy changed to make a super large sensor array to cover a much larger area. I have other water detection systems in place which use what is best described as a *Rope* style. Essentially imagine a long piece of rope / wire that is intertwined and once it gets wet it will short out and connect to what ever monitoring system. This style of rope sensor is intended for special applications / environments.

Quick Water Sensor
Im not too sure a float switch would be my go to choice. ? Here are some of the other water leak sensors I have in place and in use. This long one are placed in locations where I need to cover a large area considering there is no guarantee water will pool or appear there. In other locations where localized water and surface area is restricted I deploy these round cylinders. The one I am speaking of literally looks like the contact for the Insteon GDO kit but obviously smaller in length and size. The side terminals (screws) are used to affix two copper 14-2 Romex wires per your use case. For me I made them into what appeared to be stepped (Z) shaped pieces. Once water was present it would Bridge the two together to close the contacts. [emoji106] Sorry couldn't find a photo of the sensor / setup as it's on my other phone. ☹️ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Quick Water Sensor
Hi Brian H, Apologies I was not more clear on the description of integration. The 14-2 Romex copper wire is inserted into the magnetic sensor which has the Phillips screws. Simple two conductor 24-2, 20-2, 20-4 alarm hook up wire would be used to extend into the Open-Close sensor. I wasn't trying to address the integration to the I/O Linc as there are too many failure points going that route. Loss of power, powerline noise issue, to a lack of coupling / bridging in what ever area it may reside. Keeping in mind I fully understand this is what the OP has and wants to use but wanted to offer an alternative for others considering doing the very same.

Quick Water Sensor
If your local electronic stores carry magnetic contact sensors that have the screws instead of leads coming straight out. You can insert two pieces of copper wire (14-2 Romex) and use that as the sensor(s). In the ideal world a dedicated Leak Sensor would be the choice of champions. But, you can do the very same by using the internal I/O ports from the Open-Close Sensor. The benefit of using the Open-Close sensor is that it allows you to *High* mount the sensor for the best RF range / reception. While also ensuring the unit does not get flooded by water. It allows flexible placement of course and simply requires the person to extend the wire length. I went this route before the Insteon Leak Sensor was released . . . Right now I have a combination of Open-Close, Leak Sensor, 3rd Party Leak Sensor, and Security Alarm leak sensors in place. Going this route allowed flexible install, use case, and fail over protection in case of environmental conditions such as RF, failed batteries, cut wires.

Leak Sensor under a Dishwasher?
I use this device from this fantastic American company called Floodstop: http://www.getfloodstop.com/ I then integrated a Open-Close sensor to its I/O ports. The reason I went this way is that the Floodstop unit serves three purposes for me. One, if there is a leak the Floodstop will turn off the water supply. In turn the Floodstop will send a signal to the Insteon Open-Close sensor which allows the ISY Series Controller to fire off an email to me. For more protection for (Human) there is a dual band Insteon ILL relay which kills the power to the dishwasher. Going this route ensures fail over, electrical protection, and reduced water damage to the home. NOTE: I've been a long time customer with the Floodstop company. From personal experience this American company exudes customer service after the sale very much like UDI. I had small to large issues with the hardware and each time the person you see in the Advert came through each time. He lives and breathes *Job One* in handling his customers and providing service after the sale.
