  1. Hi az1324, All 7 are supported in the new firmware version. This said, just because two devices exhibit this behavior does not make a compelling case for implementing something ESPECIALLY since 99.9% of other INSTEON devices do NOT (regardless of whatever they "assume" the linking method is). In short, without verification from SmartHome, this is VERY risky for us and not something I would like to entertain without more empirical data from more devices and their characteristics. As such, and at the moment, the only think I can do is to send a link to this post to our contacts at SmartHome. Whatever is their recommendation shall be done. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hi Xathros, Thanks so very much for the details. Yes, most failures that I have seen are on Windows. I suspect something in the networking subsystem but I am not entirely sure yet. With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hi Phil, Sincere apologies for tardy reply. Please do be kind enough to contact our tech support and we'll walk through possible causes. With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hi hagak, unfortunately not to both questions. With kind regards, Michel
  5. Traditore, Would you please send an email to tech@universal-devices.com? I'll send you a URL to an ISY in the lab and, if you don'd mind, please create the content and we'll test. I really cannot reproduce this problem no matter what I tried. With kind regards, Michel
  6. az1324, As I mentioned before, we cannot implement anything that's NOT in the developers guide. What's in ISY is precisely what should be there based on the documentation (or will be). With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hi Phil, Please go to Help | About and make sure you have the correct UI level matching your firmware OR clear your Java cache and retry. With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hi Barry, The main difference is that we removed UPnP subscriptions from 4.0.x branch. And, that's where things are failing. With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hello Traditore, bsobel is right on. Can you please let me know which SMTP server you are using? And, would it be possible to use either gmail or default just to test differences if any? With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hi rpsa, LeeG is 100% correct. Please remove the bridge, upgrade to 4.0.2, link it back. With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hi Mike, Thanks so very much! I am on a 2.4GHz N (5 is optional) and I do not have this problem at all. I wonder if the frequency has anything to do with it. Regardless, this is indeed an issue that we have to find a resolution for. Thanks again and with kind regards, Michel
  12. Hello all, I am happy to announce the availability of our 4.0.2 Beta release! For a list of changes, please take a look at this post. As such, when using 2048 bit SSL, it's best not to use Safari. *For a discussion of variables, please look at our Program Variables Wiki. Instructions: 1. Please backup your ISY (File | Backup ISY). If you are backing up a 3.1.6 system, please note that the backups are corrupted. If you have a backup from prior releases, you should be OK 2. Please download the firmware for your platform - please do not unzip ISY 994i Series including Z-Wave Support ISY 994i Z & ZS Series (Zigbee) 3. Login to the Admin Console and choose Help | Manually Upgrade [the name of your system] 4. Choose the file saved in step 2 5. After the upgrade, ISY reboots. Please do ensure to clear your Java Cache 6. IMPORTANT Once upgrade is completed and ISY reboots, use any of the following methods to access your ISY's Admin Console: a. Enable Java Plugin: http://www.java.com/en/download/help/di ... rowser.xml b. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin.jnlp - Java application c. http://isy.universal-devices.com/99i/4.0.2/admin.jnlp d. Disable Java Plugin: http://www.java.com/en/download/help/di ... rowser.xml Please note that both methods above should install an icon on our desktop which should be used instead of using a browser to access ISY. Dashboard - http://isy.universal-devices.com/99i/4. ... board.jnlp 8. Please backup your system again Thanks and with kind regards, Michel
  13. Hi mfranzel, Certain date such as 12/24? If so, all you have to do is OR the years. For instance: If Time is 12/24/2013 12:00:00 OR Time is 12/24/2014 12:00:00 etc. If you are still having problems, please submit a ticket with a few time slots most convenient for you from 10:00 to 3:00 AM PST M-F and we'll schedule a remote session to walk you through everything. With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hi MikeD, Thanks so very much for the information. We are actively working on this issue trying to figure out the root cause. Can you tell me what WiFi router you are using and whether or not you have many more other WiFi devices on the network. With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hi oberkc, Got it. Thank you. This has been on our plate for such a long time that its ID is #1!!! With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hello scubaguyjohn, Is there NOTHING in ISY Finder? Would you please send a screenshot to support@universal-devices.com? I do not think we are talking about the same thing. Also, what happens if you click on the Add button on ISY Finder and then enter http://whatever-your-isy-ip-address-is ? With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hello MFranzel, I think it would be best if you described exactly what you were trying to achieve. i.e. "something like that" makes the request to general. With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hi mfranzel, Can you tell me the firmware version of your KPL? If v41, it might be related to the fact that v41 may send a NACK for a previous message. We have put a workaround for this issue in 4.0.2. With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hi MikeD, Thanks so very much for the feedback. ISY checks the number of packets that are NOT acked (each package must be acked) to decide whether or not the client is there. In the following two cases, the computer takes much longer to ack a packet: 1. Wifi 2. Firewall In the case of Firewall with WiFi, things get even worse (especially with AVAST and McAfee). We are actively looking for solution alas we have not found anything satisfactory. With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hello scubaguyjohn, I suspect we have a case of Java cache issue. Can you please try the following: 1. Clear your Java cache 2. Go to http://isy.universal-devices.com/99i/4.0.1/admin.jnlp Do you have the same problem? With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hi John, Does ISY finder actually find ISY? Do you know what your ISY's IP address is? With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hi robinasu, Thank you. I do not think it's a good idea to factory reset and start from Scratch. If your RL is out of synch with ISY, then all you have to do is Right Mouse Click | Restore Device. In case you want to factory reset: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... ur_ISY-99i With kind regards, Michel
  23. Thank you. Is it at all possible to connect this computer view wire to your router and let me know if the failure rate is still 50%? With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hi robinasu, First of all, removing multiple devices and hang is not normal. Do you remember whether or not ISY was still trying to remove them from the scene (activity on RX/TX lights) when you force quit the app? I do think that we will have to eventually move away from Java. This said, Admin Console was never designed as nice user interface. It was designed for Administration. In any case, with the advent of persistent web sockets, we might not have to use Java for real time updates and thus relieving us from one of the major obstacles for moving away from Java. With kind regards, Michel
  25. Thank you. Do you have this problem with all your computers (if you have more than one)? With kind regards, Michel
