  1. Hello az1324, I totally understand. Unfortunately that would break everything we do within ISY to ensure there are no half links. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hello kclenden, The reason is because of legacy issues with PLM (things we tried to prevent from happening) some of which no longer apply. So, we will revisit Safe Mode to see what else we can do. Zigbee version does not go into safe mode because you can still communicate with Zigbee devices. Thanks so very much for checking/verifying the link. With kind regards, Michel
  3. And to apostolakisl's point, perhaps you have ISY programs that are interfering with with communications? With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hi Guys, As you may know, to increase reliability, INSTEON RF/Dual-Band devices send 2 (or more) messages. Somehow, ISY has to figure out which are duplicate. If this device is dual band, then that explains the problem. With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hello kclenden, Sincere apologies for tardy reply. 1. You cannot save and load programs in safe mode 2. Please try the URL again: http://www.universal-devices.com/prod-disclaimer.pdf ... broken link in the server. THANK YOU for bringing this to our attention With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hi robr, Thanks again. Would you please let me know which URL you are using to access your ISY? The only issue I see is that we have defined 1.7+ as the minimum requirement in all URLs so I am not sure how yours is still working. I am quite disappointed in both Apple and Oracle: Apple for developing Java on its own and then forcing people to upgrade OSs to use certain Java levels. And, Oracle for not being security aware especially since Java runs on billions of devices. Thanks again and with kind regards, Michel
  7. Hello az1324, Are you suggesting that we create a half link with a dummy destination address? With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hi Ron, Thank you. Please try the following: 1. Clear your Tools | Error Log 2. Next time when you have this issue, record the date/time 3. Once you get access back to ISY, send me the error log + data/time At the minimum, we'll know whether or not there were any ISY related errors. With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hello jwilliams, sincere apologies for tardy reply: I am still trying to recover from the flu. What error did you get when you tried adding the ApplianceLinc? With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hello robr, Thanks SO very much for finding this solution. Indeed appreciated. With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hello jwilliams, It means that your Admin Console can no longer talk to your ISY. If you are on a wireless network, it's possible that you lost network connectivity. Did the KPL add (after Admin Console restart)? With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hi Ron, Do in-laws use 4G as well (high speed)? In short, with 4G, how confident are you that at that moment you still have connectivity? With kind regards, Michel
  13. Hi Bill, I suspect your PLM is dead. Two tests: 1. Can you please reboot your ISY, then go to Admin Console | Diagnostics | PLM Info/Status? If "Not Connected", then your PLM is dead. Otherwise 2. Go to Tools | Diagnostics | Show PLM Link Table, click on Start, wait for the process to complete and then click on the Count button. How many links do you have? With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hi Ron, So, 4G in the office to home which is cable/dsl? With kind regards, Michel
  15. I have already requested for clarification from SH. With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hello DIggerNSE, I am so very sorry: We are trying very hard to find a resolution alas it seems we had underestimated Apple's powers. With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hello all, I am so very sorry for all the issues. Apple has blocked Java. If you can upgrade your MAC to 10.7 or above, then please take a look at: viewtopic.php?f=44&t=10409 If not, please try: 1. Spotlight 2. Java Preferences 3. Make sure the Enabled box is checked Again, sincere apologies. With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hi Ron, Thank you. I do not think at all that ISY is timing out. It could be the connection that's timing out. Does this happen only on your mobile phone or does it also happen when you are remote but in a high bandwidth network (such as office)? With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hi Matt, Please separate them into two programs. With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hi Xathros, thank you. Just to be clear, you are referring to a complete reboot of the computer, correct? With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hi Ron, There are two cases here: 1. In one instance, you do actually get to ISY and ISY is responding with a not found error --> what you are looking for is NOT in ISY 2. The other case is that you don't even get connected to ISY So, which happens more frequently? 1 or 2? With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hello az1324, Thanks so very much for the details. The whole point of broadcast messages was that it would be sent regardless (broadcast). I am going to contact SmartHome and get clarification. Thanks again and with kind regards, Michel
  23. Hi Ron, This is indeed quite odd. What I am worried about is that perhaps the traffic is going somewhere else. The reason I am saying this is that ISY does not actually return a page with 404 imprinted. ISY returns a page with: not found. Is this what you get? With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hi Xathros, Thank you. I agree with multi-user idea. I also think we should store it in ISY because Admin Console is useless without ISY. I just cannot understand why your files are being removed. Does it happen every time you restart the Admin Console? or every day? With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hi az1324, What you are suggesting does not jive with what we have developed to. Again, this is NOT a group 4 command and it should not be. This is a parameter = 4 in a broadcast (not group) message. The reason they used broadcast was because they wanted to save a link. So, the question is whether or not we should code to what you have found or what the developers guide suggests. Do you see any broadcasts with param=4 at the same time as the group 4 command? With kind regards, Michel
