Get Started (v1.3)
@bgrubb1, Please checkout the latest release. The reason you have that issue is because Polyglot does not support self signed certs. Please use http/localhost/8080. With kind regard, Michel

Get Started (v1.3)
Hello all, To get started: - Find the IP address for your Polisy - Click the Add button on the ISY Launcher - Enter https://ip:8443/desc where ip is the IP address you found in #1. This should put polisy in your Launcher - Click on the Polisy | Admin Console (Cloud or LAN) - If migrating from 994, simple restore your backup on Polisy (File | Restore ISY) In this version, INSTEON is disabled by default: - Admin Console | Configuration | System - Check INSTEON Support checkbox - If you have this Z-Wave dongle, Check Z-Wave Support checkbox - Click on the Save button and then Reboot button (restarts the ISY service) Fixes and enhancements in this build: 1. If INSTEON is enabled (see above), ISY will try to find a PLM attached either to a USB port or the DB9 port 2. ISY Portal activation is now identical to that of ISY. Since you do need ISY Portal for node servers to work, please start a 30 day free trial of ISY Portal for your Polisy. Node server functionality remains regardless of the status of the license 3. Back off delay in case we cannot connect to ISY Portal With kind regards, Michel

@bgrubb1, Can you login to ISY on Polisy? With kind regards, Michel

Serial PLM discontinued according to smarthome
Apologies for not being clear. Node servers need ISY Portal or the Network module (just like ISY). Originally, we enabled ISY Portal by default. Please sign up a 30 day free trial. The node servers will remain even if the ISY Portal license expires. In the next release, we'll remove this dependence. With kind regards, Michel

ISY Discontinued?
@mmb, Thank you. ISY is not discontinued and there are no shortages nor are there any backorders. With kind regards, Michel

ISY Discontinued?
Just to be clear, previously you had said that "the reason is that they cannot get an ETA for shipping". This is not true. They cannot get ETA for PLM shipment and not ISY. I just want everyone to be clear here. We have no shortage of ISYs. With kind regards, Michel

ISY Discontinued?
Please provide the name of this supplier publicly. This is absolutely false and we have ample stock. PLM is a different story. With kind regards, Michel

Moving and leaving my ISY. What do I need to do?
@buzzhazzard, I would recommend transferring the ISY Portal: ISY Portal Transfer Instructions - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com) With kind regards, Michel

Splitting work over 2 ISY's
@lilyoyo1, More and more customers are contacting us and letting us know that SmartHome had told them that the PLM is DISCONTINUED because they were not selling much. i.e. a business decision and not an act of nature. Hopefully your sources are more trustworthy than SmartHome support. With kind regards, Michel

Polisy Rude Network Behavior
Hi @whywork, Apologies. This is the side effect of ISY Portal being active by default on the ISY port on Polisy. Please do this for now: sudo service isy stop With kind regards, Michel

Serial PLM discontinued according to smarthome
All, Thank you very much for all the feedback. First, let me answer some questions: 1. Restoring ISY backup on Polisy. We are still debating whether to support restoring first or jump to Z-Wave right after INSTEON 2. Admin Console: it was the fastest way to support ISY on Polisy while developing UD Mobile and the HTML interface for both ISY/Polisy. And, you are all familiar with it, so, not much documentation 3. We are NOT going to support INSTEON HUB or any other INSTEON related activities UNLESS we get a commitment from SmartHome. The only reason we are supporting INSTEON on Polisy is because of you guys. And, no other reasons whatsoever What we are working now is adding USB support (automatically find the PLM or Z-Wave, Zigbee) and fix minor bugs here/there. Should be all ready by next week. We really want to move to Z-Wave as soon as possible. With kind regards, Michel

Where did "Shift Primary to another Controller go?"

Serial PLM discontinued according to smarthome
All, I think we have spent too much time debating SmartHome, their practices, and their destiny. Perhaps it's time that we all moved on because, ultimately, they are the masters of their own destiny and only time will tell how things will turn out. From UD perspective, ISY is now running on Polisy and supports INSTEON through the DB9 on the back (we are working on supporting USB). You cannot restore ISY backup on Polisy. If you want to play with ISY on Polisy (still alpha-beta): 1. Make sure your polisy is on version 13 (uname -a) 2. sudo pkg update 3. sudo pkg upgrade 4. sudo pkg install isy 5. sudo reboot Once rebooted, ISY is at your polisy's IP:ports 8443 (4096 bit cert) or 8080 (no cert). So, if your polisy at 1.2.3.4, then ISY is at https://1.2.3.4:8443 or http://1.2.3.4:8080. You can use ISY Launcher: 1. Click on the Add button 2. Enter https://1.2.3.4:8443/desc ... You also get ISY Portal. And, you can use UD Mobile (not fully tested). Once we are done with buttoning things up, we are going to add support for Z-Wave 700 series + Zigbee/Matter. With kind regards, Michel

Polisy has become musical when rebooting. Is this normal?
@mbking, No, it does not matter because the install script for each node server uses the correct version. With kind regards, Michel
-
"Sorry the hub ... is connected to is not responding, please check the network connection..."
@SGoldband, Below is what I sent you last week and your response was "I was waiting for your" (yes, that's it): Hi Steve, Please remove (Node Server | Configure | | Delete) the following: Darksky, APIXU, and Nest 2. With kind regards, Michel
-
if then wait
Why is it incorrect? The condition does not get retested before the next Wait or Repeat. With kind regards, Michel

Forum Issues
Hello everyone, Sincere apologies for the loss of forum for the last 15 hours. Due to recent performance issues with the system, and the fact that nothing seemed to help, we had to bite the bullet and upgrade pretty much everything but ran into a few issues. The root cause of everything seems to have been PHP caching using up all the memory. So, hopefully things will be smoother going forward. With kind regards, Michel
