Hi kcrossley, Would you like me to call you? If so, please send an email to tech@universal-devices.com with your information and then we can schedule a call for today (Sunday) or tomorrow. With kind regards, Michel

Hello Mr. Hartmann, Can you save new programs? Is there a way for me to connect to your ISY (do you have remote access enabled?). With kind regards, Michel
-
Hello ctviggen, I am so very sorry for the delay in my reply. First, you will have to find your MAC address: 1. Use your browser to go to http://your.isy.ip:port/0/d 2. Look for a tag which looks like uuid:00:03:f4:02:20:7e 3. Your MAC is all the numbers after the uuid:. So, in the above case, the MAC is 00:03:f4:02:20:7e 4. Write down your MAC Secondly, you will have to use telnet to reset your password: 1. Unplug your PLM 2. Using the command prompt on your computer: telnet your.isy.ip 126 3. Enter the MAC exactly as you wrote it down above for both userid/password 4. Wait for approximately 30 seconds and till system comes back with operation successful With kind regards, Michel

Thanks Rand! Bruce, we are going to add NTP service so that ISY's time is synched up with an NTP server (in 2.6). Also, I've noticed that you have not yet upgraded to our 2.5 beta releases. 2.5 official release will be out in the next couple of days so "prepare yourself" for a lot of new functionality and features. With kind regards,

Hello Kelly, You do not have to break out your ladder and tool belt! You have two options: 1. When you link a device, choose one that is already linked to most devices in your house, and then choose the 3rd option: Add devices found in link and keep existing links. This will crawl your network and find all the devices linked in your device 2. You can use the [greenish] light bulb button or Link Management->Add new Insteon device to add your devices using their address I do not recommend option 1 simply because you may have a lot of 1/2 links in there which may cause problems. In all cases, please do be kind enough to send an email to tech@universal-devices.com to get our latest beta release (2.5). With kind regards, Michel

jgraziano, I believe you! Please do let me know the outcome of your endeavors. Thanks so very much, With kind regards, Michel

jgraziano, A controller only has an implied status which is used for some predictive algorithms we've developed. The buttons on RL/CL/KPL should all report back any interactions thereto to ISY. i.e. if you press on any of the KPL/CL/RL buttons, on the corresponding node under My Lighting, you should see their status change. If this does not happen, then, there are MISSING links in the PLM (the PLM should have a slave link to each and every button on CL/RL/KPL). Do you see the status of those buttons change when you physically press them? If not, then we have to figure out why your PLM does not have those links. In most cases, Restore Device fixes this issue but, in the case of RL, you have to make sure RL is put into programming mode. With kind regards, Michel

MikeB, Not even when you click on those buttons on your RL? With kind regards, Michel

Hello Thartmann, What version of the firmware are you running? With kind regards, Michel
-
Brian, The reason is that we don't have any stock! With kind regards, Michel
-
jgraziano, When you clicked on the buttons on the RL, the status did not change or where you expecting the status for the buttons even though no buttons were pressed. Happy Thanksgiving to you too! With kind regards,
-
jgraziano, What you are witnessing is not normal. There have been cases where RLs are not programmed correctly and that happens when they do not enter programming mode. In all cases, though, when an RL/CL/KPL/SWL/EZxxx (controllers) are linked to ISY, you should immediately see their status when you click on the buttons regardless of them being part of any other scenes or linked to anything else. This might also have to do with the possibility that the RF signal is not reading ISY's PLM. With kind regards, Michel

Wayne, My pleasure and I am so sorry that you had to go through this. Happy Thanksgiving! With kind regards, Michel

Digger, Congratulations! If you want to play with X10, the first thing you should do is to send an email to tech@universal-devices.com so that we can send you the 2.5 Beta. Thanks and with kind regards, Michel Digger, I do believe that Jason would not know anything about the Beta ... most people don't; we were privy to the news simply because SH is truly helping us resolve/test any issues we may have reported. As such, I wouldn't be worried about your PLM ... you are in good hand! With kind regards, Mine just got here............yesssssssss. I can play with it this weekend. The PLM is refurb/recyled (its all scratched up) as someone said but thats ok if it works. Version 52 firmware Rev 2.4. I will try and set it up tonight when I get back from my almost daily torture session (physical therepy).

Hello aLf, As far as I know: a) The extended memory shall be optional SH has been excellent in fixing all the bugs that we have found c) I am not sure if there is going to be a difference between the beta and the official release With kind regards, Michel
-
Digger, I am so very sorry for a tardy reply. I think you may have spoken to the wrong CS agent. As far as I know - and if you have problems with your current PLM - SH will gladly replace it. In the unlikely event that you run into any issues, please let us know and we'll get it to you. With kind regards, Michel CS told me that you have to buy a new one when I asked in Chat a few hours ago. I havent even received it yet I know its outdated and prone to lockups at times. I just could not pass up the 20% off (which I lost but thats another story). I should have bought it right from the source.

Hello deeepdish, sloop is correct PLUS if you have buttons from the same KPL in the same scene, you would have to also make sure to: 1. add all the sub-buttons of all the KPLs first 2. add the load buttons of all the KPLs last Please remove those buttons and re-add them in the order specified. This is a KPL limitation which, unfortunately, we have no control over. With kind regards, Michel

Hello All, I just wanted to thank you all for your help and support without which ISY/UDI would not be where it is now: THANK YOU. We will do our best to make sure our prices remain affordable because that's the only way home automation has a change of being in every home. Thanks again so very much, With kind regards, Michel
-
Mark, Good idea but with ramifications that we are not ready to tackle namely support for devices that are purchased separately. Thanks so very much, With kind regards, Michel
-
Frank, That sounds good. No guarantees but let us see what we can do. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hello black_fx_35, We do plan to continue selling 26 because there are smaller installations that we would like to tend to while keeping it more affordable. With kind regards, Michel

Hi FrankF, Unfortunately, you cannot at the moment. Our next release (2.6) will include email templates. With kind regards, Michel which is useful, although not specific to which program sent the notification. But, the Sched Alert email body is: The Progam that called Send Notification was named "Notify A Visitor Is Entering Driveway" and its program is: If Program 'isVehicleIncoming-Program' is True Then Send Notification to All Run program 'Notify A Visitor Is Entering Driveway' (Else Path) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') How can I get the calling program name included in the body of the email so that I will know which of the many programs that could have called Send Notification actually sent that specific email? Thanks, Frank.
