@DennisC The Test button does nothing. No text comes through. Looking for details on the Notification plugin now.
-
I changed it to use Control and the program does not run. I also did a forced Run Then on the program and the text still doesn't come through.

This is my test program (attached screenshot). I get nothing when the program runs. I tried sending an email from my computer to 616485xxxx@tmomail.net and it worked. What am I missing?

I am trying to define a notification to send me a text on specific conditions. My cell provider is T-Mobile but when I define the notification and select T-Mobile from the dropdown, it creates a recipient that is xxxxxxxxxx@tmomail.net. I filled in my cell number but get no notification even though my program runs. I assume tmomail.net is an old interface. Is there a newer one for T-Mobile?

@Javi Thanks that helped. I have done that. See attached screenshot. My next question though is how does it really know when either my wife or myself have truly left home? The mobile devices aren't tied to specific phone numbers/phones so I'm not how it knows.
-
@Javi sorry but the documentation is just not clear to me ( a novice at node servers). Do I still need to do the Occupancy Node Server/Configuration step? Or do I just go directly to Occupancy Node Server/Occupancy v2.0?
-
@Javi I configured an Occupancy Node Server through the portal. The next step is "Upload node definitions". What is that exactly? It says it will reboot my Eisy when it's done.
-
@Javi thanks. Is it possible to do what I'm looking for without the NS just using UD Mobile? The NS looks a bit cumbersome.
-
I have my Eisy geofence defined in UD Mobile which is fine. But the things I will typically want to do aren't solely dependent on my location but my wife's as well. For example, if I leave the house I don't necessarily want to turn turn off lights or set the thermostat down because my wife is still home. But if we both leave, then I may want to do those things. I can install UD Mobile on her phone but I'm not sure that's enough.

@Techman an old program it was!! I forgot about an old program I had running last winter to turn a grow light on in the morning and off at - you guessed it - 4pm every day. Ha! That program has been disabled. Thanks.

I have a 2342 On/Off switch that works fine EXCEPT at 3:59pm every day, it receives a mystery Off command and shuts off. The Membership info from the admin console only shows it being a responder to a mini remote keypad. I'm attaching the links table for the on/off plug in question. Neither of the 2 INSTEON address devices in the table are currently installed in use. Suggestions on fixing the mystery off command?

My bad, I think everything is working. I was testing the wrong device. My eisy is up and running!

I am migrating to my new eisy today. I am following the migration instructions. I did step 5 and restored from the ISY994i I just did before I started this process. The restore went fine. I'm skipping step 6 because I am not migrating Z-Wave. Step 7 has 2 parts. INSTEON Support is checked on in the Configuration tab. My question hits at the 2nd bullet of step 7. "If you are using a new PLM, RESTORE the PLM". But am I not using a new PLM. I am using the PLM that was working fine with my old ISY box. Do I still do this restore? Non of my INSTEON devices that all came over in the backup restore can be affected, i.e turned on or off. What step am I missing? Thanks for your patient support. I know you must get this a lot.

Thanks. I ordered 2 new outdoor plugs today.
-
OK, sorry for the late response. So these are the older, 2456S3E plugs. Would the newer 2634-222 units work better? Why? EDIT: Does the newer unit do power line AND RF signals where the old unit only does power line?
-
I found the Advanced/PLM Communication menu but these outdoor plugs don't support PLM Communication Settings.
-
@jec6613 thanks. Can you tell me more on what you mean by "restoring the device from the AC"? Where do you increase the retries for the PLM? Can't find that in the Admin console.

When I set the scene to On and the lights don't really go on, when I query the device, it says it's OFF.
-
I had the Scene selected and pressed the Query button. Here is the event viewer info attached. Does this help?
-
Nothing at the time of the program running. Attaching the event viewer contents for 7:53a the time the program ran. The 2 INSTEON addresses are the addresses of the outdoor plugs. Not sure if this helps or not.

I have a program that ran this morning to turn off outdoor Christmas lights after sunrise. The program ran. The Main page shows the devices are OFF (attached screenshot) but the devices are both still ON. I have a new Eisy coming and I'm not sure it will be better at controlling these are not. The lights are plugged into INSTEON outdoor outlets. Ideas?

OK I think I have the programs working correctly. One dumb error on my part. In the OFF program, I had the wrong motion sensor selected to test. Duh. Fixed that. Plus I added a "Stop program 'Office Lights OFF' command to the On program after it turns on the light so that the OFF timer stops running and won't restart until the motion sensor goes back to OFF again. All is good. Thanks.
-
It's not a noise problem. The light works fine through the app or by telling Alexa to turn it on or off. The problem is the OFF program which is triggered by the status of the motion sensor going to the OFF state. The OFF program starts to run but then somehow the program gets stopped and the timer never runs out and the light stays on. So looking at my original OFF program above, if the motion goes back ON when the 5 minute timer is running, does this stop that program?
-
These all all INSTEON devices. The motion sensor is a 2842-222 sensor. What happens is the detection of motion turns on the light no problem. But some how the program to turn the light off doesn't always work. i.e. the light can still be on long after the 5 minute timer should be up. If I direct link the motion sensor and plug module, how does that keep the light on? Not sure how direct linking helps.

I have 2 simple programs (attached) to control the ON and Off of my Office light. I want it to turn the light on when I walk into the office and as long as it detects motion, leave it on. When the motion sensor has been off for 5 minutes, I want the light to go out. These 2 programs are close but don't quite handle all situations. Suggestions? Thanks.
