Z-wave migration
@Michel Kohanim I realize you have a full plate, but was wondering if the Z-wave migration from ISY to Polisy, and Zwave backup, is currently in development, If so, do you have an approximate timeline?

"Can't Communicate with Device" Warning, then device turns on
Thanks, I missed that. In that case if he has the 300 board he should upgrade to the 500 for better performance and range

"Request Failed" changing PLM Communication retries
The links for a scene reside in the devices themselves. You could remove the PLM and the scenes would still work. If you're having trouble with scenes try doing a restore device for each device in the scene. That will rebuild their link tables and may help. Troubleshooting is a trial-and-error process. You could pull out the set button on the devices and/or unplug them one at a time in order to narrow down the offending device.

Wow, I'm up to 002 in my Z-Wave network - backups?
No need to exclude a device if it hasn't been previously linked. i.e., if a device was linked to the ISY994 and you wanted to move that device over to the Polisy you would first exclude it from the ISY then Include it in the Polisy. This removes the link tables from the previous controller and includes them in the new controller. In rare instances, if a device won't install, do an exclude then include.

"Can't Communicate with Device" Warning, then device turns on
Do you have a mixture of Insteon and Z-wave, Insteon doesn't have a "heal" Some of your devices the older single band devices and might be creating noise on your powerline. Take a look at your error log to see if there's anything there that could be problematic. You should also verify that both legs of your powerline are bridged. Take a look at these troubleshooting tips: INSTEON: Troubleshooting Communications Errors - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com)

"Request Failed" changing PLM Communication retries
The older single band devices could be somewhat problematic. The dual band, also known as I2cs, had improved firmware and hardware. I've had situations where an older device failed and created noise on the powerline which interfered with the Insteon signals. Take a look at the troubleshooting section on the UDI Wiki. TVs, UPS, and other electronic equipment can create noise on the powerline. You can eliminate the noise using a powerline filter. CFL bulbs can also cause problems. Also take a look at your error logs for any possible problems.

Wow, I'm up to 002 in my Z-Wave network - backups?
@oskrypuch I wouldn't worry about a "farkle", I'm sure that the back-up option will be added in the not to distant future. The Polisy Z-wave 700 dongle has an effective range of about 40 feet indoors, so it's best to add your hardwired Z-wave devices closest to the Polisy first then work out from there. Each hardwired Z-wave device will also act as a repeater. If you don't plan on having any Z-wave devices in close proximity to the Polisy then you could add a plug-in Z-wave range extender/repeater. Aeotec makes an excellent 700 series extender.

Is there a way to link devices via mobile app?
@Javi Good to know. I'm on Android, thus no linking yet. I wasn't aware it was available on IOS.

Wow, I'm up to 002 in my Z-Wave network - backups?
Being that Z-wave migration is not yet available when moving from the ISY to the Polisy there's no advantage in doing the ISY Z-wave backup as you'll be doing a fresh install on the Polisy. The Z-wave backup feature in the Polisy is not yet available. After you install your devices do a "generate topology" report which will create a record of your installed devices

Is there a way to link devices via mobile app?
You need to add devices from the Admin Console. If you're moving from the Hub to the Polisy then you should do a factory reset on each device to ensure that no hub link tables remain in the device. After you do the factory reset write down the Insteon address for the device. You can then enter the device address into the Polisy and link the device from the Admin Console without having to press the set button on that device. Click on Link Management in the Admin Console | New Insteon device. Enter the device address xx.xx.xx and click OK. This will work for all hardwired devices. Battery operated devices will need to manually be put into the linking mode. It's best to start with devices closest to the Polisy to ensure good communications as you rebuild your Insteon network. Hopefully you have an Insteon PLM, it should also be factory reset before any linking.

ISY994IZWIRPRO discontinued
UDI has one Polisy in stock The Polisy does not support IR. I'm not aware of any plans to add IR to the Polisy but there may be some 3rd party options. Currently the Polisy supports Insteon and Z-wave. If you want Z-wave then also order the Zooz Z-wave 700 dongle from UDI

Insteon Hubs Bricked? Insteon going out of business? What about switch purchase, what now?
@mvgossman Polisy currently supports Insteon and Zwave. Zwave devices are available from numerous manufactures. The possibility that Insteon and/or the PLM will be resurrected is a good possibility, but we probably won't have an ideal where it's all going until they exit bankruptcy which could be many months from now.

Stupidity was the cause of the downfall
The PLM was a low priority device for Smarthome as they were focused on the Insteon Hub which has it own interface built in.

Polisy - relocated to server rack, now not working!
Can you connect via the Admin Console? On the Polisy configuration page, make sure that "Insteon support" is checked, and then click "Save"

Missing UUID on 994; Want to delete from Polyglot v3
I believe that if you want to transfer your Portal license from one device to another you have to have UD support make the change.

Insteon HUB (2245) cloud servers shut down
This forum doesn't support the Insteon Hub or Home Assistant, I would check with Home Assistant support, perhaps they also have a forum

What Switch/Dimmer to use in place of Insteon devices?
Unfortunately, not yet
-
Insteon 2477D act as 2477S ?
The on/off module uses a relay to switch the load, the dimmer module uses a triac designed to work with resistive loads.

Insteon HUB (2245) cloud servers shut down
The Zwave 700 series is the latest and best. It's backwards compatible with the 500 series devices. Aeotec.com and Getzooz.com/products have a large assortment of Zwave devices. The Polisy is the next generation and will replace the ISY994 https://www.universal-devices.com/store/ The ISY and the Polisy are able to control some Wi-Fi enabled devices using the Network resource option on the ISY or Polisy

Insteon HUB (2245) cloud servers shut down
The Smarthome/Insteon server only hosted the Insteon Hub. The server shutdown will have no effect on your system(s). For now, your best bet is to go with Zwave 700 series devices. If you don't plan on upgrading to the Polisy then adding the 500 series Zwave board to you ISY would be the next best step if you want to add more devices to your current setup.

What Switch/Dimmer to use in place of Insteon devices?
Your best bet would be to use the Polisy with the Zwave 700 dongle and Zwave dimmer switches. Aeotec: Z-Wave light dimmer switch, illumino Dimmer Switch ‐ Aeotec Zooz: ZOOZ ZEN77 S2 DIMMER – ZOOZ (getzooz.com)
