  1. It's possible the replace option won't appear unless the device is in the linking mode. The other option would be to try to delete the (old) device. The links for the old device are stored in the PLM and any scenes that the device was linked to. Before you try the delete make a list of any scenes or programs that the device is associated with. If the delete doesn't work then I would suggest submitting a support ticket to UDI as there may be a work around that I'm not aware of. Let me know if the delete works
  2. Right click on the old Remotelinc and try to do a replace, selecting the new Remotelinc as the replacement. Put the new Remotelinc into the linking mode before you click on replace.. This may or may not work without the old unit but it's worth a try. Being that the Remotelinc is a controller only no link tables are written to them, only to the devices they're linked to, including the PLM. Let me know if this works.
  3. You can only replace like for like. The old and new Remotelincs are not "like" devices. I'm assuming that the old (discontinued) Remotelnc is not a Remotelinc2. If that's the case then you'll have to delete the old one and start fresh with the new one.
  4. Take a look at your ISY error log to see if there are any communication error messages. That may help narrow down the problem.
  5. Take a look at your ISY error log to see if there's anything that may be an indicator. Another possibility is the ISY power supply and or its connection. If the PLM was failing or failed your ISY would start up in the Safe Mode which doesn't seem to be the case
  6. If you have an existing Zwave network Aeotec Zwave devices have worked well for me and their firmware is field upgradable. They have excellent technical support. You need to make sure that their switch is compatible with the ISY firmware version you're running. I'd check with UDI before purchasing.
  7. The ISY communicates via the PLM (2413S) which is a dual band device. Some of the older PLM's were powerline only. The 4 digit date code on the device will show when the device was manufactured. if you have other dual band devices in your system they will communicate via powerline and by RF at the same time. The more dual band devices you have the more reliable your Insteon network becomes. The range extender is always supported. You just plug it in. Unlike other Insteon devices the extender does not have to be (installed) linked.
  8. Being that the IOLinc is a powerline only device you may have a marginal signal from the IOLinc to the ISY Another possibility is that the garage door opener and / or the bulbs in the opener may be causing interference on the powerline. The two options I would suggest is to plug the garage door opener into a Filterlinc, and / or plug a dual band device into the front of the IOLinc. You could use a Lamplinc, an On/Off module or a Range extender.
  9. If you had even a momentary surge in your powerline it could cause some of the issues you mentioned. I have my ISY on a UPS however the PLM needs to be directly plugged into an outlet. I have my ISY send me an email anytime it reboots. Being that you're in an area subject to severe weather conditions you may be more prone to powerline fluctuations. What's the version number and date code on your PLM. If it's an older model it may not be dual band which could weaken your Insteon mesh network. Do you have dual band devices close to your RF only devices? Take a look at these troubleshooting tips. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=INSTEON:_Troubleshooting_Communications_Errors
  10. In 4.7.3 firmware there's no option for a program to disable a device, not sure if 5.x.x has the option
  11. RE: your 8 button KPL, do a factory reset on the KPL then a restore device. If it still fails to work then the KPL may have failed. The PLM link counts are approximate. It's best to run the link count when you have no or little ISY activity. Try running it at different times. You'll notice the link count will vary and that's normal. The count of 300 seems on the low side if you have 97 physical devices. If the KPL is your only current issue then I would focus on the KPL and not the PLM
  12. If all your other devices are working then the problem is not with the PLM If you put one of the battery devices in the linking mode then do a restore device does it then function properly?
  13. Your device was manufactured in the 42nd week of 2013. I would replace the device rather than try to repair it as the firmware has been updated in the current shipping devices.
  14. The Appliance module was discontinued and replaced with the on/off module which doesn't have load sensing. Load sensing proved to be problematic in some situations. Depending on the type load plugged into them, the load could be an issue. try plugging in an incandescent plug and see if the problem persists. I would replace the modules with the newer on/off modules.
  15. If your ISY was rebooted and/or lost power then the status windows of your RF devices will be blank in the admin console until that RF device sends an update signal. By manually restoring each RF device you forced them to update the admin console.
  16. The load needs to see 110v. You could use an In line Dimmer Switch to supply the voltage, and cap off the load wire on the KPL which would free up the button. Insteon Item #: 2475DA1
  17. To use the 64 bit version of Java you need to also use the 64 bit version of a web bowser otherwise you should install the 32 bit version I Java notes: https://java.com/en/download/faq/java_win64bit.xml
  18. You might also want to make sure that both sides of your powerline are properly bridged using the 4 tap test https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=INSTEON:_Troubleshooting_Communications_Errors
  19. The Access Point has been renamed and updated, it's now the Insteon Plug-In Range Extender, Item #2992-222. Some of the earlier versions of the (discontinued) access points had reliability issues. Properly placed plug in modules, such as lamplincs and on/off modules can do the same job as range extenders. Being that their antennas are external they do a much better job than KPLs or Switchlincs whose antennas are at the rear o the device which is mounted inside a wall.
  20. Run a diagnostics / compare for each device in your scene to see if it shows any damaged / missing links, You could also try deleting and recreating the scene. It's possible that something in the scene got corrupted .
  21. When you get your issue resolved could you please post the results.
  22. The ISY log will only display change of state for your devices. Something was using up your ISY resources, not sure exactly what. Possibly your variables?
  23. In the Admin Console Click on Tools | Diagnostics | System Status. That will show your ISY available memory. If it's low then that could be an issue. It's possible your variables or notifications are consuming your memory. I would also try updating your firmware to the current beta version. The 5.x.x is a work in progress and you might have come across a bug. Being that you're running a beta version you won't be notified of new beta updates. Update notifications are only sent out for final release firmware. You'll need to check the forum for the most recent alfa or beta release.
  24. The log you posted shows the Queue as FULL. Do you have programs running that could be consuming memory? You may also want to update to the latest firmware release which may contain bug fixes.
  25. The admin console isn't designed to be left permanently open. It's possible that you encountered a (lack of) memory issue.
