  1. It's not just for notifications, it would also be useful to have the status of a device or scene be updated. Then you could have Agave widgets that were in sync without having to hold a subscription open! Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  2. Also search forum for ISYHelper, program to run on RPi Sent from my Pixel C using Tapatalk
  3. Harmony Elite. Can be integrated with Alexa with RPi and ISYHelper, or IFTTT. I heard harmony is working to get better integration with Alexa, but don't know the latest status. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  4. Has anyone been running with this modified version of the programs? I've been using the original version since they were posted and forgot the new sensors acted differently, and just installed a bunch of them in our lake house. Then I realized they worked differently so I read the entire thread again and found this update. I will update my programs, but we are leaving soon so I won't have much time to test. Probably should add a note on the OP that there are issues with new sensors and to see the later post. Also, Michel mentioned adding this to the wiki, but I couldn't find it there?
  5. Pushover. Allows lots of customization of the notification, including using the phone alarm to override silent mode for important ones, at least on Android. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  6. I thought the API allowed you to simulate that a button was pressed on the remote, but I could be wrong, I'll have to look at it again. If you want a no-lag option, get a RPi and run ISYHelper which also allows you to define harmony home control buttons to control ISY devices which has almost eliminated our need for remotelincs. 7. I was just saying the IR from the harmony hub can be used to control the volume, which he obviously knows, and just wants a way to control it with Alexa, which I hope to be able to do sometime soon with ISYHelper or a harmony polyglot. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  8. That's what the harmony does, Stu. I hope to have time someday to move harmony control from ISYHelper into a polyglot node server which would make this easier. But have had almost no time the last month couple months to work on Polyglot. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  9. Yes, I read the section on forward phase dimmers, but it doesn't really answer my question. The question was that they list 2 Insteon dimmers that they say are compatible with these transformers, but the 2477D is not specifically listed. So, can I safely assume it will be as compatible as the ones they list?
  10. Yes Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks for all the details, but my wife will kill me if she can't control them with the switch. I want them to come on with motion like I currently already do, but at a dimmed level, then allow us to hit the switch to turn them all the way up. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  12. Can someone help me confirm if this power supply is compatible with the Insteon SwitchLinc Dimmer 2477D? http://www.armacostlighting.com/store/shop/12-watt-electronic-ac-dimmable-power-supply/ I assume it is because the compatibility list shows LampLink and MicroDimmer work? http://www.armacostlighting.com/store/electronic-dimmer-compatibility-list/ Also, if someone has a recommendation for better low wattage dimmer for LED strips I would appreciate it. I am going to replace 5 under-counter florescent's with LED strips and want the ability to dim them. They are currently hardwared with 14/2 romex thru the walls and I can't run low-voltage wire between them so I need 5 separate small, not crazy expensive dimmable power supplies. - Jim
  13. My series II does not need the adapter. Even though the wall remote has a light and lock, it's still is a dry contact. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  14. Part of ISY Helper: http://forum.universal-devices.com/forum/118-isyhelper/
  15. ISYHelper does #2 in the PyHue interface. While this isn't the "Insteon way" it's works perfectly. I have scenes that are really meant to be "groups" where I want all devices act together, but can also be controlled individually. For example, 2 bedroom lamps 'lamp a', and 'lamp b' in a scene called 'bedroom lamps'. So Alexa can set brightness of both lamps together, or independently. Makes sense to everyone, especially my Wife which is what counts. If I had to create specific scenes and tell her how to use them because that's "how insteon works", she would roll her eyes, and just not use it. This is probably the only reason I have not moved to the Portal.
  16. Thanks everyone for the info on other cameras. I wish there was a camera closer to exactly what is being asked for. I need to study this further before I buy another camera. But if you want to control some cameras I just released this and hopefully can add other cameras https://tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.universal-devices.com%2Findex.php?/topic/18810-Polyglot-Camera-NodeServer&share_tid=18810&share_fid=23986&share_type=t Polyglot Camera NodeServer Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  17. The new Agave app for Android is great. It is very new so not perfect but the development is progressing pretty quickly and should be released soon or you can ask to test the beta. Android development for MobiLinc has not progressed in a long time, and is basically dead AFAIK. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  18. I have a working polyglot node server for older foscam's and currently working on adding newer HD foscam's which will hopefully use the onvif standard which will allow controlling many cameras. I hope to release the current version when I return from vacation. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  19. Yes, portal is great. But I still use ISYHelper emulator because it works with the Harmony hub as well. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  20. Also, I heard that someone is working on a node server for Sonos. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  21. OK, thanks for the confirmation. We use the bedroom Alexa to play music, so guess I'm stuck for now. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  22. This seems to be going in a circle ☺️ I think we all understand the value of sub-acccounts. But, sounds like the problem is you can not share prime music to the sub-accounts, which is a deal breaker for me if it is true. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  23. Not at my computer right now, but there is an info button on the portal that gives you the ISY URL to enter in the admin console finder window. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  24. The Harmony hub works great with ISYHelper https://tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.universal-devices.com%2Findex.php?/topic/18171-ISYHelper&share_tid=18171&share_fid=23986&share_type=t ISYHelper Sent from my Pixel C using Tapatalk
  25. The instructions link to a document created by io_guy on these forums for setting up the RPi, and ISYHelper. Also, depending on the type of thermostat you choose, you may also need io_guy's NodeLink program running on a RPi as well. You will not get additional commands, Alexa only allows a small set of commands sent to a hue/wemo device, which is what ISYHelper emulates. More complex commands like you mention would only be possible with an Alexa skill adapter. Sent from my Pixel C using Tapatalk
