Thanks Michel, Wes, and Benoit for the responses about syncing. That will be great when it's solved. But when Benoit says Thermostat's are not supported, do you mean with the interface you were given? Because other thermostats like Honeywell and Nest are supported? BTW, I am in no way complaining, I really appreciate all the effort and will gladly give up my hacked hue emulator.

This is awesome, since Google decided to force a Hue account which makes the hue emulator a pain to support. But, I notice that adding my Z-Wave thermostat doesn't work. Also, how do you force it to update devices? I removed one and added a bunch but they are not showing up after a few minutes.

Google Home now supports multiple users.... :)
Jimbo.Automates replied to MWareman's topic in Google Home
Ya, I should have posted in it's own thread. I won't be home to test for a few days -
Nice, but multi user support sounds great, can't wait to try it next week when we get home. https://blog.google/products/assistant/tomato-tomahto-google-home-now-supports-multiple-users/ Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Some do have the option. Many aeon devices require two button presses to include securely, but that is not a requirement for the siren. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

What you are asking for has been proposed a few times, and I'm pretty sure Michel has hinted that it may be looked at in the future. There are issues with it, but the advantages in usability outweigh them, IMO. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Mobilinc support and enhancement for Android is non existent. So would not even consider it unless using iOS. Just my opinion after paying money to them for a few years. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Speak, Google! (speech/audio to home assistant)
Jimbo.Automates replied to jtara92101's topic in Google Home
I never looked at how this was done with Alexa so not sure. And, Yes, agreed, but it was a deal killer for me until it can be figured. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk- 11 replies

Speak, Google! (speech/audio to home assistant)
Jimbo.Automates replied to jtara92101's topic in Google Home
I had played with this but I didn't find a way to continue what was already playing after the announcement since I use the a lot for playing music. Hopefully there's a way to do that? It would be easy to write a Python script to do it, I was just using curl to test. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk- 11 replies

Yes a lot can be done with IFTTT, but very tedious to set up a lot of devices. I currently use ha-bridge and ISYHelperHABridge to control ISY devices and Harmony hubs. But you can use just ISYHelper to control ISY devices. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Convincing hidden door sensor and dimmers to peacefully co-exist
Jimbo.Automates replied to maidez's topic in ISY994
Yes, that is the best option I know of currently, and it is a pain. There is a way to do this coming soon in 5.0 alpha which will allow it to be set to ignore in the adjust scene. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -
Thanks, but I understand the difference and have read some of the developer docs. My reason for asking was because Michel mentioned direct actions which is what we really want. But conversational will be great. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Awesome! Does that mean you actually heard back from Google? If the need help or testing let me know, I have a few. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

2 circuits flicker on Insteon activity but no others, solutions?
Jimbo.Automates replied to Banichi's topic in ISY994
When I started adding insteon in our lake house, one of the existing dimmers, I'm pretty sure it was lutron, would flicker. When I replaced it with an insteon it did not flicker. A switchlinc dimmer at our home would flicker due to the cheap LEDs I had to use because of the size I needed. I changed the device options to enable LED on TX and they stopped flickering. Luckily the switch is in a location where I don't care that the LEDs in the switch flash. I don't remember why I changed that option, but it worked for me. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -
The MIMOLite works great and provides status as well so it's a direct replacement of the IOLinc. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Unexpected result when querying iolinc with trigger reverse enabled
Jimbo.Automates replied to rabbit1543's topic in ISY994
I've not heard that anyone tried the 2+ yet, I almost got one but decided to just go with the one that has been verified to work. It probably will work but you never know for sure. For zwave coverage the ISY will need to be close to your garage or you will need more zwave devices like the aeotec siren to make sure. My ISY is in a cabinet in a room directly next to the garage and they see the ISY as a neighbor, but I do have a strong mesh as well with a couple sirens and 6 thermostats. Unexpected result when querying iolinc with trigger reverse enabled
Jimbo.Automates replied to rabbit1543's topic in ISY994
I just replaced my IoLincs with Mimolite zwave devices this weekend and they work great. I already had good zwave coverage in my garage. I liked them because they were a direct swap of the IoLinc instead of using a separate device for control and status. I had been holding out because I want to install a security system, but that keeps getting delayed... http://forum.universal-devices.com/index.php?/topic/13768-Z-Wave-I/O-Module Sent from my Pixel C using Tapatalk -
UDI also has plans to add direct support for TCC in the portal, but I've not heard about any progress. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Best AV control (IR and network) with Amazon Echo?
Jimbo.Automates replied to kgividen's topic in Amazon Echo
Yes, and Harmony Elite with home control buttons to control ISY devices via hue emulator. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -
Do we know if UDI was given one for testing and know that it works with the ISY? Big bummer that heartbeat does not seem to be there, hopefully better battery level instead of just a single low battery notification?

Leak Sensors - Another (Suggested) Complete Program Package
Jimbo.Automates replied to rabbit1543's topic in ISY994
I have been using the original setup of these programs from: http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/11566-leak-sensors-a-suggested-complete-program-package/?p=93722 and suggested modifications based on the newer leak sensors http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/11566-leak-sensors-a-suggested-complete-program-package/?p=127646 and they have worked perfectly for me.
