  1. f you're directing your question to UDI then you should submit a ticket to them rather than posting on an open forum where members will respond. At the very least, tag them so they and others are aware. With that said, my response comes from multiple responses on the subject from udi directly. Regardless of how many times you ask or who it comes from, the answer is still the same
  2. Already answered above
  3. What system? Reliable old system implies isy994 which wouldn't be compatible with iox
  4. The eisy is brand new- you'll get the latest model regardless of when you order it. At most you'll have to update the firmware which youd have to do anyway due to when firmwares can be pushed out and you receiving your product...no different than most consumer electronics nowadays. You can wait but then you run into the possibility of UDI being out of stock when you're ready. No one can really say what you will experience. There are many here that hasn't had issues and others who have. I'd peruse the eisy channel to see others experiences and decide whether or not you're ready to chance things. That way you can make an informed decision. Personally, I think you will be ok but with everyone's system being unique, only you can decide that. There are a few posts on here with others using long cables without issue.
  5. I'm just using the language you used. Not all bugs are fixed quickly. Modern garage door openers require different solutions depending on setup.
  6. It's not the developers fault Chamberlain chooses to operate this way but your reasoning is understandable. In regards to being broken at anytime, that applies to anything. A bug can break how your system currently runs at which point you would wait for a fix. Ditto for server issues. However, what most people feel (who has purchased) is that they are paying for someone who has taken the time to hack it to provide them the opportunity to use their current system vs the time it takes to find other alternatives/swap out systems. There's no breach of intellectual property laws. It would be a breach if you took their work, made your own device, and tried to sell it.
  7. It would be broken until repaired

Does this happen with other devices that aren't running through UDI devices?
  9. Not necessarily....if most people upgraded during the initial release, they would have had their particular issues fixed so things would appear stable until those who held out initially start updating. Once those folks take the plunge, then we'll know.
  10. Regardless of time frame, new bugs may still be introduced.
  11. The remove should've removed the device from the tree as well. May be a bug. I would submit a ticket
  12. There's 1 way to find out if range isn't the issue....move the device closer. If you do and things still don't work then you have a defective switch
  13. If/when they come out with the newest version, it would have a completely different model number than the old product line (it will also look different).
  14. We can't answer for something that doesn't exist. It comes down to Apple's implementation of matter and what (how) they will allow things to interact. All questions that none of us knows the answer to. UDI has stated they will not be supporting home kit directly

  16. The best thing to do is buy one and test with your bulbs.
  17. No. Most likely not
  18. In addition to what was said earlier, they were designed for LED lights. You can set the low end trim to minimize flickering and cutoff
  19. I name my devices what they are in addition to putting a label on the back of the product
  20. Does it matter? You can replace it in less than 5 minutes.
  21. If they're losing connection to the app then it's a product issue/network issue. I'd contact the mfg. Have you tried moving the problem devices to the area where you don't have an issue? If they all work fine there then it may be something environmental
  22. Factory reset both switches and then right click on both devices and choose restore. Make sure that both are properly configured as controllers along with other settings
  23. The forums aren't the place to contact UDI directly. You would need to submit a ticket. The eisy sales page spells out exactly what you need to accomplish what you're looking for along with the necessary links to order. You can also find your questions answered in the very first post of this channel.
