Simple evening kitchen light program
3 people say yes while 1 person says no. It's up to the op to decide which is best for him. That's the wonderful part of programming. There's more than 1 way to skin a cat

Finally going to install these FanLinc 2475F's
UDIs wiki has instructions on how to set up the fanlinc with a kpl. 6 or 8 button is user preference. I googled isy fanlinc installation and found a video where someone details how to wire a kpl to be used with a fanlinc.

Simple evening kitchen light program
Variables like others have said works best for this though there is no perfect solution. I moved away from standard timers and use the lux sensors in my motion sensors to trigger my lights on automatically in the living room area and other rooms based on occupancy. I use variables to track them turning on since that determines whether they change color temp and luminosity as the evening progresses or stay 1 color/dim level. I can override the auto on/change features if i turn the lights off (which auto resets each day).

Polisy programming clarifications
A factory reset takes a device back to factory state. No links or anything in a device while clearing links will only bring the device in that you're adding. While it's a defacto reset, you can still end up with half links that can affect your system.

New user access
That depends on how you've set your stuff up. Every client of mine has their own separate portal account with my account being able to access all of them. This way, clients have access to their own portal but none to anyone elses

WiFi Antennas
If people did that then they wouldn't have any questions about how to do stuff

Trying to properly plan Insteon once and for all.
Famous last words. ?

Insteon On/Off Outlet half responding
Why not simply create a separate scene, put everything in that scene together as responders and trigger that. No need for a wait

not in the Node server Store?
PGC is currently not functioning which is why it's not there. If you have an Rpi with polyglot running on it, you can download it from the PG2 store. Ditto for PG3 if you have polisy

Adding an X10 device - do I need an EZX10RF and/or do I need to purchase the A10/X10 Module from UD
None are odd. In regards to the module, not everyone will sign up for the portal. Personally, I prefer to purchase the module separately as everything will still work even if I forget to renew my portal subscription. In regards to mobility vs UD Mobile, those are 2 separate apps. Having options never hurt anyone. Mobilinc is pretty much EOL while UD Mobile is constantly being worked on and upgraded. While there's Mobilinc X, it's missing a lot of things Mobilinc could do and updates has been slow. You can use isy portal with Mobilinc. You can't use both Mobilinc connect and Isy portal on the same account with Mobilinc.

That's a new concept for people. ?

Sorry, it looks like xxx isn't available right now
It happens sometimes. It usually resolves itself

6 button Key Pad and FanLinc going crazy
A and B are not on by default unless you have an 8 button faceplate on a 6 button keypad making the large button A and B.

6 button Key Pad and FanLinc going crazy
What are you using to control your devices? If you've deleted the device, Alexa should not be able to control it. Are you referring to the A and B button or the large top and bottom buttons

2nd Hue Hub
There's a post on the Node server sub-forum where someone was able to use 2 bridges. It's titled similar to yours

Insteon versus zwave for switches (and what are nice zwave switches?)
Citation needed? If you're asking for proof, you'll see in time

Insteon versus zwave for switches (and what are nice zwave switches?)
Lutron is standardizing their devices so all will carry the sunnata look. Caseta should be out within the next year. Not sure how that will effect the current Node server

Insteon versus zwave for switches (and what are nice zwave switches?)
Due to lutron's requirements I doubt this will happen unless reversed engineered. Since UDI wants to go the official for with it, they'll have to support it.

How to: Kasa Node Server on Polisy
According to the readme linked above, you should choose discover to discover new devices

Insteon versus zwave for switches (and what are nice zwave switches?)
That's the only benefit. Zwave is still the lesser protocol for lighting control

Has anyone tried to use an 8-panel 2334 as all switches (and not dimmers)
That's the old single band version. The dual band version is only a 6 button

Has anyone tried to use an 8-panel 2334 as all switches (and not dimmers)
Just need the kit

Has anyone tried to use an 8-panel 2334 as all switches (and not dimmers)
No. You need a relay. There's still clipping at 0.1s.

Trying to properly plan Insteon once and for all.
Multiway setups require 1 scene with both devices added to the scene and configured. You'll click on both devices and set the configuration on each. Once done, you'll click on the scene bebe and do the same there. If control is 1 way, you'll add the controlling device as a controller and the other as a responder and then configure the controller and scene like above. I don't use ha but i assume you'd control the scene and not the individual devices (assuming you're using the ha Node server). What to consider depends on your setup and how you plan on operating your home. I do suggest reading the Isy cookbook and ISY wiki along with the polisy forums before getting started. If you Google both, they'll show up in the search
