There's more to Lutron than just copying and pasting information. There needs to be an understanding of how things work in addition to access to their API (at least in regards to RA3. With the type of questions the op is asking, the information you're pasting will only cause further confusion which doesn't help him at all.

Ra3 does not work with the Isy. Currently only select systems. While UDI is trying to gain access, there is no guarantee. Lutron doesn't care what dealers do with their products since most must go through a distributer and not directly through them. They won't help end users anyway. Most dealers don't sell direct since they don't want the headache. Why would I pass my discount along to you (not you personally), and deal with potential warranty issues and calls for help for a product i didn't install and didn't make my full amount on? There are many online stores that sell Ra3. You'll just pay full price. It's really not hard to get which is why Lutron has the free class. A person just had to be willing to take the time to read and learn

I googled caseta wireless range and Lutron says it's range is 30 feet from controller to device. Their forums can provide more help in regards to caseta since they make it. https://forums.lutron.com/forumdisplay.php/82-Caseta-Wireless

Who's hacked insteon?
-
Depends on the device. If they follow the protocol properly then you'll be fine. If they don't then it would require custom coding. Unfortunately unless someone uses something, you won't know until you have it. For the most part though, most zwave devices will work without issue

Every house is different so a person can't tell you what you need without seeing things. Walls, furniture, turns, etc. will play a part in your network. See the tips and tricks for more information
-
If you're adding zwave anyway, you'd be building your mesh network so you don't need repeaters since all hardwired devices repeat the signal. Lutron is great but cost 4-5x the price of a single zwave device (unless you go with caseta), and you still have to build out your network There's no perfect scenario.

I wouldn't hold off for 800 series. 700 series was released 3 years ago and is just starting to gain traction. It'll be some years before mfg start producing 800

I don't know of any 700 series micro modules but I know aeotec and fibaro makes them

IoP behavior change for keypad status trigger evaluation?
lilyoyo1 replied to AKAPADIA's topic in IoX Support
It happens with my keypads -
My experience is the same as yours. Though i upgrade stuff often, I'm typically pulling old stuff out and putting it in friends and family homes and they're still going without issue. The only thing I'd say I do different than many others is install a whole home surge protector. My house also has one at the meter. I stopped using the fanlinc some time ago and switched over to an off/switch. Most clients were installing DC fans (wife swapped our out too) and rarely changed fan speeds anyway.

Yes I do. it'll reset once it's off regardless of how it's turned off -

Status should work. While control is fine, it wouldn't cover what he's trying to do should he turn his lights on with voice or app control. @arshishkI've experienced the same thing. I ended up creating a variable which for some reason works without fail -
I agree with the touch screen. We had touchscreens in the wall in our old home in addition to using command fusion years ago. Never used any of the touchscreens except for as an alarm panel. Was more work than simply using a keypad I used command fusion since i was tired to an app at the time but no longer need them for the house. I never used it to control the TVs even though it could

That's the part I was thinking about
-
There were 2 pieces that you needed which allowed me to use it with my dinky link. I'll have to see if i still have my old one to give you the model number. If the Node server cant capture the input, it wouldn't matter anyway
-
Does the Node server allow you to configure/capture the input on the itach? Back when I used command fusion, I was able to use my itach with their receiver so i could still use a regular remote if i had to.
-
I believe there's a Node server for itach. You may be able to use that
-
A developer would need to have an API for it to develop a Node server for it. Due to time and effort, they most likely would want a public API so they don't need to constantly fight to keep up with the mfg making changes that breaks the Node server. The more information you provide (such as getting the API) the greater the chance someone may make one. Popular demand helps as well. While you may be willing to pay for it, they probably would want more people willing to pay to make it worth the investment.

In addition to being UDI's future controller You have more options with polisy to work with insteon Isy=2413s Polisy= 2413s, 2413u, 2448a7
-
I've never had to reboot
-
Has his subscription expired?
-
You'll have to pay for the portal for each ISY/Polisy though they can be added to a single account to be managed. Since PLMs are only found on ebay, polisy is your best bet

Factory reset has been a the number 1 piece of advice from every single veteran on here from the beginning. Since you dont want to take the advice given, you'll have to figure it out on your own. I'm not able to help you.
