  1. What format did you use when you put the address in?
  2. As long as you have the zwave board and a strong mesh, any zwave sensor would work. I use fibaro's.
  3. Im not surprised either company is doing what you ask of them. Financially it doesnt make sense for either one to spend the time or money based on a singular request. It would make greater sense for them to come out with a product and package it into 1 and resale vs working with someone else which doesnt provide any financial gain for the work. While I use Rain Machine, my needs for it with the ISY are minimal since it does what I want without the ISY. I dont use flume at all. With that said, as long as both systems report to the ISY what you are looking for, then you can program to accomplish what you want. The best thing you can do is connect both of your systems to their respective nodeservers and see what information you can glean from them. Email is not the only way to receive notifications. There are nodeservers for that. Since you've decided to embark on this journey, knowing your system is paramount. I'd peruse the nodeserver store to see what works best for you. V3 does allow for developers to get paid for their work which is probably why and when most of the really good stuff will come out. If the author of the rain-machine nodeserver said a feature is coming, id say it's true since they would know (its their work after all). I have not seen where nodeserver polling is dynamic so I do not believe that its possible. You could reach out to the author and ask them directly if it is. If possible, I dont see it happening before V3. As long as the ISY can see the information you're looking for, I dont see it being to much to ask of the ISY. Thats what its here for. As long as the ISY has all the information that you need, yes it is possible to receive notifications. If flume's and rainmachine's api does not have what you're looking for then a nodeserver cannot help. You may be able to reach out to a developer and see if he will build a nodeserver for you but that will probably come at a cost to you financing it directly. If no one has responded to your other post, you should delete that post since it adds to confusion
  4. Insteon requires that you use a plm with 3rd party systems. Polish supports the 2413u and 2413s
  5. No assumptions are made to get started. Insteon is not ported to polisy so your current setup is irrelevant. Polisy would be a new setup. I'm not sure how clearer they can make the instructions. What part of the instructions are you having problems with? I would upgrade your isy to 5.3.4 if you want to upgrade your isy (and do not have the 300 zwave board) which can be found on the usually upgrade page
  6. I was speaking about light level and luminesce specifically needing to be hardwired. I assumed battery level would've been obviously not applicable since it would've been hard wired. It's possible you configured something outside of the isy and re-added it with existing links. Outside of that, it is well documented that the Isy doesn't not pick up on links made outside of it so all linking needs to be done through the Isy
  7. Shouldn't be a difference except for one, a dimmer would ramp up vs turning on a light instantly. Providing system information and details about what you're experiencing could allow people to help you troubleshoot
  8. You linked outside of the Isy so it would not be aware of those links. The rest would populate if hardwired to power
  9. Factory reset the switch and test it. Does it beep? Restore it to the Isy. Does it start beeping again
  10. That makes absolutely zero sense. Them choosing not to supply specs has nothing to do with them not knowing something....especially if they built it into their system and other systems support those things. That means it's documented somewhere.
  11. 1 program would suffice
  12. You're way overboard. No one posted for 5 days until you brought it back up. If that never happened, it wouldve already been settled.
  13. GPS isnt the only thing to use with Geofencing. There's also the Ping nodeserver which can use your phone connecting to your wifi.
  14. I thought the conversation was over with
  15. Probably not since it can communicate with your other devices without issue. Did you lose power or reboot your isy?
  16. This has been my issue with trying to track scenes. If I turn a scene on and later adjust one of the lights slightly, is it still on? Everyone has a different idea of when they consider a scene/group ion that someone is left with incorrect information which is worse than no information at all.
  17. The problem is that both are interchangeable. I completely understand the point your making and its valid, how do you quantify that when everyone has their own idea of how they run their home?
  18. All that you see is built into zwave code regardless of whether a manufacturer chooses to use it or not. You'll need to check the full manual of your device (usually found on their website) to see what parameters are needed to get supported nodes to populate. The Isy wiki has instructions and details on what stuff means. Just Google Isy zwave wiki. You can also find a write up at the top of this sub forum titled zwave tips and tricks. It's easy to find since it's the very first post
  19. I'd replace the devices
  20. That's part of your problem. Both firmware and UI needs to match. ***See note at top of sub-forum title. Update your firmware. Once done, unplug your isy, wait 10 seconds and plug it back in
  21. Neither answers the questions
  22. Firmware and UI? What do you mean it's not right in the Isy
  23. Ge sold their lighting stuff. The company Jasco makes them and has a licensing agreement to use Ge's name. They are still making them
  24. This applies in the US as well
  25. I could be wrong but from what I read, it's made by kwikset. It's their Canadian arm
