In addition, did you recently update your ISY from 4.0 branch to the 5.0 branch

You can't send a double tap from the iolinc unless you physically press the button on the side. You could use variables to keep track of how many times a switch is turned on to trigger programs.

While I know you're trying to be smart, you'd be surprised to find how many people actually take to blunt people. You're more then welcome to call me out. I'm not sensitive like some people. If I don't agree with something then I don't agree. I have no problems voicing my opinion and will continue to do so. As I've stated many times before, I want to hear other sides. While, I may come across very strong in staying my cases, its not that I'm trying to drown out a person's thoughts. I'm simply sharing my own. Just like you feel it's your duty to jump in and defend those you feel are being taken advantage of, I feel the same when I see incessant crying and complaining about things but an unwillingness to do something to help fix what one thinks is broken. Even in looking at this post. While some thought I was trying to be an A (which I wasn't)...in giving suggestions to go along with the complaints, Michel was able to take note of what people wanted and hopefully his response means UDI will make improvements.

I'm the same way. I'm actually alot more blunt in person than online. At least when I'm typing I can clean up a few times what first came to mind.

I completely agree. I miss the days of our debates (since you want to agree with me all the time now) when we could disagree without taking it personal and expand how we both see things

Backups are stored on your computer

I keep my folder logic simple. If it's about time, I schedule the folder to be active during the time the program will be active. This allows any waits or other conditions to process. Many simply separate what happens based on different conditions which makes it easier to track different programs

I love how the person that cried about someone calling them out is the very person that tries to be smart and passive aggressive while throwing shade at everyone else. Many of the otherwise smart people on this forum actually read manuals and such which is part of how they learn things. Besides that everyone's brain works differently in how they process information. This is why some things appear easy to some while difficult to others. What udi had in mind when designing the portal may be completely different than what the end user has it for and use. In seeing that the portal allows you to use 1 account to handle a multitude of Isy's, I can see why they didn't use the account page itself for that information and put it with the Isy you choose directly. While most users may have 1 isy (which would make it easy for them on the account page)there are many with 2 or 3. That's not taking into account installers who could possibly have many more. By the way, under the license, it does give you the exact information that you said it should ask for.
-
I'm not understanding the point you're making While the folder itself doesn't use or else the program itself can along with variables and anything else you want to use in a program within the conditions you set for that folder.
-
I see it as a feature as well and utilize it often. If I need to test something, Its a simple matter of moving it out of the program, testing, and dropping it back in
-
I actually wasn't trying to be a smartass in my post. The fact is, if you have a complaint then a suggestion would be nice from your standpoint. If udi did change it, there is no guarantee the change would make things simpler for you. By adding a suggestion, you now offer insight to what you feel could work better for yourself and others. I tend to read manuals before asking questions, so navigating through things generally isn't an issue. However I realize many don't. With that said, Criticism is 1 thing but adding a suggestion can make a world of difference when it can help you and others so that something is improved properly vs making a change that does nothing to improve user experience. For someone who complains so much about what someone says to them, you sure have no problems with what you say.
-
Thats a good suggestion @larryllix. It's nice when people can offer ideas for improvement vs simply saying something is bad.
-
How could they make it clearer for people? What are your suggestions? When I renewed mine the first time, I found it in the wiki without any issues along with pictures that showed where (same link from above). Outside of renaming the wiki to ISY full instruction Manual, I'm not sure how simple it could be without putting individual links for everything on the home page (which would be even worse

That's actually a poor method of finding out information. In order to know that type of information, you'd need to be constantly querying devices which would put unnecessary load on your system slowing the whole thing down tremendously (depending on frequency and number of devices). This will affect your actual use of the system much greater than an unresponsive device. If your circuit breakers are popping like that, you need to fix the problem not put a bandaid on it

What's the Crux of your problem? Once you hit midnight a new day begins hence the next day statement. You refuse to post your program so we can't help figure out what's going on so there's not much more we can do until you either explain the full situation of what you're trying to do and post what you have
-
The last thing you want to do is add unnecessary complexity to a simple program because you are uncertain. What happens during certain hours is based off of what you want to happen. From time >to time will run the if and or else if that what you set If time is from 10p to 6a the next day Then turn light on Or else turn light off. That will run the then at 10p and the or else at 6a If you add extra parameters to the if, then they'll trigger during certain hrs. If time is from 10p to 6a the next day AND motion is switched on Then turn light on wait 2min Turn light off Personally, I separate my off program from my on. This allows me to potentially have other programs running without needing to disable anything
-
I have a test and main unit in my home. Some people have multiple homes or buildings out of range, installers managing other systems
-
Midnight starts a new day so it can't be the current day. However, it'll run until sunrise since that is what you're asking it to do
-
I agree with the statement above. If you're certain there's nothing else calling for that program to run them I would say it's an aberration. The only thing you can do is try to recreate. Outside of that, I would assume a gremlin
-
With a single isy, I think it could potentially be moved to the My profile link. However, since it was designed to handle multiple Isy's from 1 account, its current location is great for those managing 2 or more since it allows one to choose specifically which isy to update easily
-
In addition, the all on would trigger all lights not just a few which are part of specific scenes and programs. If I had to hazard a guess, I would assume this being an aberration or another program (potentially no longer used) that caused this. Since it occured under specific circumstances, you could always try to recreate what happened.
-
???. The isy itself triggers zwave so it couldn't even be links stored within the kpl.
-
I'd agree except he is using zwave and running that through a separate program. Insteon all on shouldn't include zwave
-
I know it hasn't been that way for say least 10 years. Thank God they changed it
