  1. Worked! You guys are the best! Now, we have a temporary solution in place until the new plug arrives.
  2. I found a cord that produces 9v 300mA Would that be safe to try?
  3. Gotcha! I will order one now. Please accept my thanks. You done know how much you rteply on your home automation until it is no longer there!
  4. Pardon my naivete but do you mean the power cord? I have noticed that the plug is flashing very rapidly.
  5. We had a rare power interruption this morning. After power was restored no lights on ISY. I have checked connections. Are there any next steps?
  6. I just returned home and checked the status of the remote ISY. All devices are now correctly reporting their status. From the other comments it seems apparent there was some problem with the portal connection. Thanks for the feedback.
  7. I have an ISY located over 300 miles from where I am located. This morning none of my numerous devices were displaying their status. I turned on a couple of lights then used my Wyze cameras to see if they turned on. They did. I then turned them off and the cameras confirmed they were, in fact, off. Looking for suggestions as how I might deal with this problem of ISY not displaying the status of any devices. I need to do so remotely.
  8. My hope is that user friendliness is of paramount importance.
  9. Sorry, I must have missed it. Thanks for calling that to my attention.
  10. The March 2020 issue of MacLife has an article about a group comprised of Apple, Amazon, Google and the Zigbee Alliance getting together "to develop an open-source Smart Home standard. The goal is that "Smart Home devices will be compatible with various platforms so you can choose between Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri, or other platforms." I am curious as to your thoughts about this.
  11. Love it! Don't knock the new headers and exhaust until you have tried them!
  12. Thanks again, Larry.
  13. Thanks, Larry. What about the network cable?
  14. I had to have work done on my ISY. Now, I need to reconnect it to the network, to power and to the PLM. Is there any particular sequence I need to follow?
  15. I appreciate all the help, but I am going to take your advice and open a ticket tomorrow. I am also going to need help with the update and especially in going to v 5.x
  16. I am beginning to think the file is the proper saize. That leaves the question, is it going to be useful, if needed!!!
  17. I have another ISY located elsewhere. I logged into it and did a backup. No problem. The size of the backup file that appears on the problematic ISY says cannot create a zip file but then it appears to do so. Is a 56 k file unreasonably small? The one created for the other location was only 26 k. I am reluctant to move forward without what I know to be a solid backup.
  18. Thanks for your attempt to help. I made the suggested change then attempted the backup. Would not create the zip file. Actually, I get a file but I get a message that it was not created. The icon that appears only has 56 k.
  19. Internal or external IP?
  20. I checked the error log nd it appers the error in creating the ip file is: [UDSockets] RSub:31 error:6
  21. I am embarassed to to admit it but numerous health issues have kept me for maintaining my ISY to current standards. Sadly, I am still running 4.6.2!!! I have finally reached the place and time where I need to get things updated. I just updated Java to the latest version. I then tried doing a backup. I never have had a problem previously but today I got the message "Could not create the Zip file". I have stopped at that point since I am hesitant to proceed further without a backup. My plan was to first proceed to 4.7.3, get another solid backup and then attempt to upgrade to 5.x. I am not ashamed to admit that at my age I am not as sharp as I used to be. That and the health issues are at the center of my being so far behind. I would appreciate any help you are willing to provide on this journey.
  22. i have used a tag on the outside of the door of my mailbox. I have applied a light seam of silicone to the tag and it has lasted for more than two years. I know the tags are not waterproof but I was willing to sacrifice the tag if it lasted a reasonable time and kept me from unnecessary trips to the box. I would guesstimate that it works more than 80% of the time and seems to be dependent on how lond the carrier keeps the box open. Not a perfect solution but more than acceptable, to me. I just installed two more tags today as a backup to hidden door sensors at a remote address which I will not visit for the next 6 months. I keep the motion sensors on the tags turned off until, and if, the hidden door sensors' batteries fail or they fail for some other reason. I am very well pleased with the tags.
  23. I checked on the status of MobiLinc for the subject location and all is now well. Go figure!
  24. I have a remotely located ISY and have successfully used MobiLinc for years to control devices using my iPhone. The last couple of days MobiLinc has gotten worse and worse until tonight. I can still control devices the Admin Console and they quickly and corectly show their status in the AC and MobiLinc Dashboard. However, I cannot control devices using MobiLinc. I have checked settings and all are correct. I thought I would check here regarding others having similar problems before I began further detective work.
  25. I have had no issues with the FanLincs. Mine have been troublefree.
