If an error is thrown after a message delivery failure, is the error specifically for the failed message or a general Pushover error message? Example, if multiple messages are sent around the same time, can you tell which one failed? Also, if you have repeat option set for x number of tries, will the error be thrown after the first failure, or if all retries fail?

@JimboAutomates, I'm curious as to how dependent the Notification Nodeserver using Pushover is on an internet connection to work and how dependent is it on external Pushover services? Can any of the notification methods tied to the N/S function if external Pushover service has an outage or failure? I am trying to determine if it is necessary to establish a secondary notification method for critical notifications?

Thanks, no worries. It is nice to know it's not a "me" situation. lol

@bpwwer, Running IoP version 5.4.0_2 and PG3 version 3.0.42 and I am unable to download a backup of PG3. Going to Settings - Polyglot Settings and clicking on Download under Backup and Restore has no reaction on that page and I am not prompted to save the file. Looking in the PG3 log I am not seeing anything to indicate a backup was taken. I have logged out of PG3 & logged back in and I have restarted PG3 and logged in again with no change. The last backup I took worked fine, but that was before the latest round of upgrades. Is the Backup function broken in the latest release, or is this issue localized to me?

I just started working with the Notification Nodeserver a few days ago. You must follow the directions completely or you will have issues figuring out how to use it. After configuration some additional information will appear specific to your installation on the configuration page. If you don't see that, refresh the page. I noticed the information doesn't always appear. So far it has been fast and reliable with several options that can be set for each notification.

When in the Nodeserver store and you click on the Nodeserver name it will take you to the information page for the Nodeserver. This is the page for Notification Nodeserver: https://github.com/UniversalDevicesInc-PG3/udi-poly-notification/blob/master/README.md Besure to look at the Readme and Configuration pages.

@Michel Kohanim, Can you confirm that this method will continue to work when Google makes the change in Gmail effective?

@Michel Kohanim, I am not sure if this has been brought up before, if so I apologize. I am up to date with the updates that have been posted in this thread. I noticed today that while variables are updating, the admin console is not correctly updating the "Last Change" that the time took place. While the time does change, it is not recording the current time. For example, I am watching a counter variable update, the current time is 06:15 pm, the variable change time was reading 01:05:32 pm. While I continued to watch, the variable counter started again and at 06:30 pm current time, the last change time when the variable updated was 01:25:26. Both my computer time and the current time shown in the admin console are correct and reading the same time. I also tried a reboot of Polisy. -
I received the same notice. I would like to continue using gmail. Will the following from the Wiki work: Configuring gmail Account Optional: Configuring (unique) App Password (required If you have e 2-Step Verification turned on) Go to Account from the Google apps list of apps Click on Security in the list on the left and scroll down to App passwords Click on Select App and Select Other (Custom Name) Enter ISY (or any other identifier) Click on Generate This will create a unique 16 character password, save it and use it below instead of the primary account password. Configuring for Use with gmail Make sure you have configured your gmail Account (see above) Go to Admin Console | Configuration tab | Emails/Notifications Under SMTP Settings ensure Use Default is Not checked For SMTP Server enter smtp.gmail.com For SMTP Port enter 587 For User ID enter the username associated with your gmail account (e.g. abc@gmail.com) For Password enter the password associated with your Account For From you can leave it blank. If your service allows it, you can add a display name ensuring the format follows First-Name Last-Name:Email-Address" Make sure TLS is checked For timeout, 5000 (or more) Click on the Save button Test

In the Main tab the Elk Outputs are not listed under "Area x", but under "Elk Controller". Therefore, in a Program you need to go to: Status - Elk Controller / Output x. Then new selections popup and you can select Status or Default on Seconds. From there you can select operands (<,>,=, ect) or variables.
-
Elk keypad presses not being recognized can be worked around by creating Elk Rules in ElkRP2 to turn on an output when pressed. That's how I got around it. Just be sure to turn it back off, either by only turning it on for a few seconds in the Elk rule or having the Elk Nodeserver turn it off.

Think it depends on the type of message. If you are triggering the message from a program, you can set it there. If from a NR, you have to include it in the string at the top. There's an example on the Configuration page of PG3 of the Nodeserver.

After updating, I had no issue with the indicatoright blinking. However, I did have to go in and re-save programs. I found some of them were not working.

Use the DHCP reservation in your router to make an IP address permanent. See the instructions here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Network_Settings

Actually, I do both and set 2 different variables on my ISY, just in case. I am detecting the change in connection to my specific wifi network. I also am using Tasker for this. I have a 2 minute waiting period upon leaving my wifi area to prevent bouncing in and out. I have not experienced any issues when the screen goes off.
-
I have been using geofencing via Tasker on Android to tell my ISY when we are home for several years. A couple of years ago it stopped working but for the last two years it has been solid on 2 Samsung Galaxy S20+ phones.

Have you tried right clicking on each device and running Restore device? There might be a problem with the links.
-
I won't be able to try this until the end of next week since I will be traveling until then.
-
For PG3 Nodeserver upgrades, just stop and restart the Nodeserver. The newer version will install itself with no impact to programs. For that matter, if you delete and then reinstall the same Nodeserver in the same spot your programs are also not impacted.

Having problems upgrading ISY 994ZS PRO to 5.3.0
DennisC replied to Old Surfer Dude's topic in ISY994
After clicking on manually upgrade and get to the part that the file finder window opens, select the zip file you downloaded and process to upgrade. You shouldn't be changing any file name. You should be using the zip just has it is without modification or unzipping. -
Try changing power for PLM to a different circuit. Something near by may be interfering. Have you tried power cying Polisy? Or, your PLM's are bad.
-
If you have Insteon support checked, saved, rebooted and PLM still shows not connected, then either the PLM is no good or you have some kind of filter on the power line interfering with Insteon signal. Make sure you are not on UPS power with the PLM. You can also try a factory reboot of the PLM. However, if it was from a working system it will require running Restore PLM afterwards.

Not All Tag Parameters Fit in ISY Admin Console panel
DennisC replied to vbPhil's topic in WirelessTag
If this is on IoP, UD is aware of it. I reported it last week and was told they would look at it.
