Weatherproof enclosure for Insteon 2450 I/O Linc
NEMA rated outdoor enclosures come in different sizes. You could mount an outlet inside of one and use an approved connector to bring your plug in to the enclosure. You could also mount the I/O Linc inside and extend the wires to the location you need using an appropriate raceway.

2466SW Gone Bad?
You might want to try removing power to the switch for a good 1 minute and then doing a factory reset. You might find the switch can then be added back to the ISY.

Multiple questions about portals and android apps
Agave has features being added to it regularly. If you buy the all access pass you are finished for the life of the app. Whatever features are added will be included. So it's up to you.

ELK M1 vs I/O linc for Garage Status
I also have my garage door wired to my Elk. I use a wide gap contact for BA alarming and status to ISY. I then wired my garage door opener to a spare Elk rely for open/close control.

Running the isy994i with your phone?
I agree, Agave is the way to go if you plan on doing a lot remotely. If your usage is occasionally, I would start with UD Ajax interface.

Tools > Log returns an empty excel file
Once Excel opens you should see a dialog box asking if you want to either open or run (I think it says macro??), not sure of exact wording and I am not by a computer. Say yes and the file should open. If you are not seeing the dialog you may be blocking this from running and need to check Excel settings.

Postal Notification
If distance is not too great, I think I would try a CAO wireless tag for this project. At first glance, the Reed KumoSensor might work. https://store.wirelesstag.net/products/reed-kumosensor Dennis

SSL Certificates
I can give you some broad brush information on how I was able to accomplish this on my Win 10 setup. Not sure if there would be any differences on a Mac. Open Dashboard Open Network Select “Server Certificate” Complete Certificate Information Select “Cert. Request” Copy information Go to Certificate Authority (ex. Startssl.com) Request PEM SSL Certificate (ex. DV SSL Certificate) and paste request from ISY Save files, including intermediate certificate Unzip certificates from “Other File” Back to ISY From Certificate Information screen, select “Receive Cert.” Open certificate in text editor and copy content Paste in to ISY “Receive Cert.” box Select yes for loading Intermediate Certificate Import all 3 certificates in to ISY Save If successful, ISY will reboot The ISY will expect the certificate in PEM format (at least this is the only format that I was able to get working). Also, the one caveat here is, Startssl.com will want to verify your identity to create your free account. This is done by sending an email to your account domain name. If you are not set up to receive this email, you will need to arrange for email forwarding. Also, on the Startssl.com site, either when requesting the certificate or when you sign up, you need to select your domain and select add to move forward in the process. I don't remember which step this applied to. Dennis

How to add relays to ISY
I don't think there is going to be an API. You are sending 00 for off and 01 for on to the relays IP address. That's all the control you are going to have. Go to this page - https://www.amazon.com/SainSmart-Channels-Controller-Compatible-Connected/dp/B00NBGGCHK and head to the bottom of the page for some Q&A. Dennis

MobiLinc to ISY Portal Transition
Michael is the expert, but I will take a crack at it until he can respond. Take another look at the Wiki, there are two screen shots right under that section. The screenshot on the left is for first connection. The screenshot on the right is for use with the portal. The second "Vars" is what you are interested in - %ISYURLExternal. The correct address is: https://user%40domain.com:password@my.isy.io. If you substitute your user name, domain, and password, does your entry look the same? Note the %40 after user and before domain name instead of the @ symbol. Regards, Dennis

Motion and Door Sensor Recommendation
I have to agree, be sure to use alarm type sensors wired directly to the Elk M1. I wouldn't trust Insteon or Zwave device for security. Once you add the Elk module to your ISY, you will be able to utilize all devices in programs and notifications.

MobiLinc to ISY Portal Transition
Try posting a screenshot of your error a provide some information pertaining to when the error appears. Someone here should be able to help you.

Elk water shutoff valve and Insteon I/O linc
I totally agree with the advice you have been given so far. My water shut valve is wired to my Elk M1 and I have deployed hard wired leak sensors also wired to the Elk system. You can not be too careful with critical systems.

Timer Thermostat
Hot water heating loops usually have a flow control valve. You should be able to lengthen the time it takes the heater to satisfy the thermostat by adjusting the water flow.

Thermostat Recomendations - Insteon or Z-Wave
I'm using a Honeywell Zwave thermostat number TH8320ZW. I have not had any problems with it. I have all programing (time based temperature changes) done by the ISY. Dennis

DIY Home Security with i994 and Insteon
I think it is a little odd that any of the zones are programmed on a new board. All you need to do is log in with Elk RP software and disable any active zone(s). One thing worth mentioning and I suggest you verify this in the manual, but I think a resistor is required on the siren output if you don't have one connected to the proper terminals. If not, the panel (I think) stays in trouble. Dennis

Air Exchanger Help
If you are sure there is no open/close combinations then I am out of suggestions.
-
Air Exchanger Help
No! Completely disconnect the controller from the unit. Imagine taking a wall switch in your hand and connecting a ohmmeter to the terminals and turning the switch on and off. The only difference is you will have a four position switch and you must test each wire combination at each switch position. I hope this example makes it clear for you.
-
Air Exchanger Help
What you want to try is to determine which wires are closing for each switch position. You will need to move the ohmmeter leads thru all possible combinations to properly identify all of the contact positions.
-
Air Exchanger Help
I would suggest running a different test. Disconnect the control from the unit. Install a temporary pigtail into the controls wiring terminal leaving the other end of the cable loose but not shorted to anything. Run thru the various control settings using an ohmmeter on the wiring. If you can find the right combination of switch contact closures, you might be able to control it via open/closed contacts. If that is the case, it would open up some possibilities. I want to stress here, to make sure the control is disconnected from the unit. You don't want to damage the unit. This shouldn't impact the control, as you are not connecting a voltage source to the control.

Naming the Away IP
I'm using my Elk system. In Smokegrub's case, he is not worried about his external IP address changing. His issue is he can't distinguish between each sites external IP address. If necessary, he could manually update the DDNS service occasionally. Dennis

Naming the Away IP
HI Smokegrub, I understand what you are asking and what your difficulty is. I also have two ISY's installed at two different locations. My difference is I have DDNS name setup for both locations. Besides automatically adjusting if my IP address changes, it also makes knowing which ISY I am connecting to (away mode) easy, since my DDNS naming convention includes the location. Since you already have port forwarding set up for your external IP addresses, you would not need to make changes to your router if you would like to add a free DDNS account. You could attempt to set this up, without impacting your existing ISY connectivity. I am using No-IP.biz for a free account. I would suggest you try and set up a free account for each site (it is very easy). Once set up, you could try and enter the DDNS name in the ISY finder. You will know right away if you have entered it correctly and it will not impact your current external IP address entry (in the event it doesn't work correctly). If you require additional assistance, we can help walk you thru the setup. Good luck. Regards, Dennis

How to control a 2 stage whole house fan?
Then I would call customer service back and explain to them that there is no latching mode and ask for an exchange or refund.

How to control a 2 stage whole house fan?
Why not try testing it by connecting a lamp and see if it times out?
