Lighting Control Response Times (Elk -> ISY or ISY -> ELK)
I find programming for things like lighting and temperature much more convenient and easier in the ISY. Having said that, anything that is critical, like water valve, garage door opening, ect, I handle with my Elk and then set phantom outputs if required in my ISY. Dennis

ISY Portal and Elk M1
What are you trying to do with your Elk system that isn't already available with the ISY Elk module?

ISY Tablet or Phone UI
Glad to hear it's what you needed.

ISY Tablet or Phone UI
To load the UDAjax just enter your ISY's IP address in to a Mobil browser. I think if you are using the standard ports you wouldn't need to add them, but if it doesn't work, just add the correct port. Info on this should be in the Wiki.

Want to control lights by my cell phone
Just enter your IP address in your phones browser. If you have changed from the standard port you will need to enter a : and the correct port number. Outside your lan you will need a static IP address or ddns account.

Compatible Thermostat?
I'm using a Honeywell Zwave thermostat and that has worked fine with ISY, programs, and Mobilinc. Dennis

"All on" glitch
I'm doing this also. Works well and no chance of a stray Insteon signal opening up the garage door. Dennis

Two Echos in two different homes with two different ISY
I think you would be able to share some ordering and music collection. Amazon allows you to add family members to your account, or at least Amazon Prime does. You might want to look in to that. Dennis

Admin console can't find 994i
As a follow up to what Paul has said, TP-Link instructions for using one of their routers as a wireless access point is to turn off DHCP in the access point. You might want to double check this was done and then follow Paul's suggestion to restart everything. Dennis

Admin console can't find 994i
You indicated you can't connect when you type the IP address in your browser, but don't indicate which IP address you tried. Have you tried the IP address from the working phone? Also, could you have issued a static IP address in the old router? Dennis

MobiLinc to ISY Portal Transition
If we are still talking about features we are missing from the Android version of Mobilinc, we can add Elk module and variable support. Could probably add to the list, but we have done that before....... Dennis

Java Problem?
Physically pick up the boxes and transport them - no there is no need. I can access them on site or remotely. I wouldn't take them out of service to move them. DC

Java Problem?
Joe, I also have two ISY's at two different locations. I can manage them both from either location and I also have the ISY's set to the same IP addresses. I do this so I only need to remember 1 IP address. In the ISY Finder I have one local address and one DDNS address. This enables me to connect to either ISY by selecting either the local IP address or the DDNS address. Dennis

Notifications for washer/dryer?
In the past I have used a Dwyer current switch to send the signal to An Insteon device. The current switch was fairly inexpensive and I haven't had any problems with it. It is available has a split device, which means it opens to wrap around your power wiring. Therefore, you don't need to open the appliance. You will need a box to mount it in however. I use this to monitor a 3/4 hp motor for a dock de icing system. Dennis

Run a program only when device changes from a specific value
I would suggest having the Elk close a phantom relay and have the ISY trigger off of the relay closing/opening. This would also require the Elk module, but I think it will trigger quicker.

Elk Module issue...
Glad you got it corrected.

Elk Module issue...
That is what I suspected. You will need to establish a connection and then everything will restore. Has anything changed on the configuration page of the ISY? Make sure all of the information is correct and make note of the port number. You will then need to connect with your ELk via the software and verify the settings there. Dennid

Elk Module issue...
Can the ISY talk to your Elk or is it possible they have lost their connection? Does the ISY show your Elk zones correctly? Dennis

MS Surface anyone
I use a Surface 3 to access the ISYat a vacation home. I do all upgrades and programming from it. The only draw back is the font size is very small with the normal settings. Dennis

Water Pump Email Alerts
But you can get a 220 volt plug. Yes, the original post indicated 110 volts, but then the question came up about the amperage, indicating the pump is dual voltage. I am suggesting the actual voltage the pump is running on be verified. Dennis

Water Pump Email Alerts
Sorry for the spelling error, should have been Xathros.

Water Pump Email Alerts
Cathryn is correct about the amp draw. First you need to determine what voltage the pump is configured for. Saying it is plugged in to an outlet doesn't mean it is a 110 volt outlet.

Proper insteon device to control On/Off of shop vac and air compressor?
I agree, there are several device like this available. They are simple and safer for a situation like this. Especially when programming is not required.

Water Pump Email Alerts
If you are looking to sense current you can also use a current sensor. Dwyer makes some inexpensive ones. This opens up more Insteon choices for you. However, this will only provide you with on/ off notification, not control.
