  1. Or try the new Polisy.
  2. I have to agree with you. It is difficult to make a decision now based on available information. I would like to support UDI, I feel they do a fabulous job, on the other hand, I would also like to take advantage of the discount, but only if it would actually replace the current ISY. More information is definitely needed.
  3. I think it would be helpful to understand in detail UDI's intent for the future of the ISY and if Polisy is to be the next ISY, along with a very high level timeline. I understand UDI's hesitation in giving timelines, but some future roadmap would be helpful. While I use nodeserver's, I have no trouble maintaining a Raspberry PI at 2 locations. Would I want to invest in 2 Polisy now, because in the next year or two it will be capable of replacing the ISY, or wait until more is known and loose out on the discount?
  4. I have used both Agave and Mobilinc and would suggest trying Agave.
  5. Currently, v5 is very stable. I wouldn't get hung up on "beta" at this point.
  6. I have two ISY's running v5.0.14, both with Elk and have no problems to report.
  7. I run both without any problems. If you are running headless, you use Putty to sign on to the terminal screen. If you are running the GUI, the Terminal screen is in the menu.
  8. That's a different story........
  9. Smarthome replied promptly and the problem with 2844-222 has been corrected.
  10. Good thing is sale runs until the 25th, so you can think about it a bit longer.
  11. I started adding several items to my cart on the Smarthome website, along with the discount code. Something didn't look right with the discount and when I checked the math I found the discount was not being taken off the Insteon Motion Sensor II, item number 2844-222. I have an email out to Smarthome now, but if you order anything, you might want to check that the discount is being applied properly.

    Replace ISY

I would suggest you contact UDI, all you would need is to purchase the ZWave dongle and ZWave module and install it in your existing ISY.
  13. If you are on an Android phone, Agave is a phone app you should check out. It is very well supported with new features being added all the time.
  14. I think this would be the best you could hope for. Maybe have a program query it after power is turned on each night to insure communications so it will turn off on time? https://www.smarthome.com/insteon-2634-222-on-off-outdoor-module-dual-band.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxuru8baN3gIVSiSGCh1Q3wQTEAQYASABEgKECfD_BwE
  15. Could I suggest dating or adding a revision number to each version? This would enable us to make sure we are looking at the latest version. Thanks, Dennis
  16. I have about 8 GRI sensors wired up to my Elk panel also. Very reliable and effective. I have received several early notifications from my system and was very great full for the warning.
  17. I would suggest deleting the downloads and uninstall Java if it partially installed. Shutdown the computer completely and restart. After a cold restart, disable antivirus protection and re-download what you need .
  18. There are two jnlp Java UI's. The Admin Console and the Dashboard. While I don't think I have ever seen a reboot option in the Admin Console, there is one in the Dashboard. Downloaded the correct version for your firmware and you will be able to reboot remotely. Dennis
  19. https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/22000-release-462-is-now-official/ The proper links are a bit down the page. Be sure to read the instructions.
  20. NEMA rated outdoor enclosures come in different sizes. You could mount an outlet inside of one and use an approved connector to bring your plug in to the enclosure. You could also mount the I/O Linc inside and extend the wires to the location you need using an appropriate raceway.
  21. You might want to try removing power to the switch for a good 1 minute and then doing a factory reset. You might find the switch can then be added back to the ISY.
  22. Agave has features being added to it regularly. If you buy the all access pass you are finished for the life of the app. Whatever features are added will be included. So it's up to you.
  23. I also have my garage door wired to my Elk. I use a wide gap contact for BA alarming and status to ISY. I then wired my garage door opener to a spare Elk rely for open/close control.
  24. I agree, Agave is the way to go if you plan on doing a lot remotely. If your usage is occasionally, I would start with UD Ajax interface.
  25. Once Excel opens you should see a dialog box asking if you want to either open or run (I think it says macro??), not sure of exact wording and I am not by a computer. Say yes and the file should open. If you are not seeing the dialog you may be blocking this from running and need to check Excel settings.
