  1. @simplextechcould you list what is included in the total count? I looked thru the documentation but didn't see it. Thanks
  2. I installed v0.1.1 this morning. The Folder field appeared, but populated with 0. I have run Re-discover, Update Profile and uninstalled and re-installed several times with no change. Assuming that "Folders" refers to folders for programs, I have slightly over 24 folders. Any thoughts?
  3. Did you try logging in to Polisy web application using admin/admin? If that works, maybe the power failure scrambled the settings and you need to resave updated login information.
  4. Here is the link to the error codes: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Errors_And_Error_Messages Your error comes up as: 403 Forbidden Could something be up with your password? Check to see if your ISY password in Polyglot is correct. Also, see if there is any clue in ISY error log and in the log for the nodeservers giving you a problem in Polyglot.
  5. It is best if you access ISY using the Launcher and not a web browser. You should also make sure your firmware and UI match. When using the Launcher your UI will automatically be matched to your firmware. To use the Launcher go to the upgrade post and find the download link for the Launcher.
  6. I also would recommend removing the lock and moving it to within 3 feet of the ISY. Do an exclude prior to adding the lock.
  7. Ask your question again, only this time enter the @ symbol and Michel Kohanim's name. After the first few characters you will see his name pop up from a drop down. Select his name (you must finish off by selecting the name from the list, not typing it. This will act as a notification to UD and they will be drawn to the post. This way they will be sure to see your question. UD doesn't necessarily read every post.
  8. Are you saying you upgrades from 300 series to 500 series zwave board? If so, no, you do not need to re-purchase the module. Make sure you followed the directions for upgrading as follows: Assembly Instructions Open ISY Unplug ISY from power There are four screws on the back which should be removed Prepare the Enclosure Take ISY board out of the enclosure Attach the Dongle to ISY' expansion slot Plugin the Dongle into the Bottom Row of ISY expansion slot Put everything back Push ISY board back into the enclosure starting with the side where all the LEDs are Activate the Z-Wave Module Now that you have assembled ISY/Z-Wave Dongle, you will need to purchase the Z-Wave Module by going through Help | Purchase Modules | Z-Wave Module in the Admin Console. The price will be $1.00. Upgrading from 300 Series If you are upgrading from the 300 series, make sure you do: Z-Wave | Tools | Backup File | Backup ISY Follow the assembly instructions to swap the Z-Wave dongle with the 500 series version Upgrade to 5.2.0 or above Z-Wave | Restore FYI, make sure the dongle is in the bottom row of the ISY expansion slot. Upgrade to latest firmware, v5.3 after starting ISY and then restore zwave. Makes sure you make a full zwave backup prior to beginning the upgrade.
  9. Maybe use @+ name to get UD's attention.
  10. If you have a zwave dongle and it is the older 300 series dongle, with the light, the latest by firmware is not supported. The highest version you can upgrade to is v5.0.16c. if you have the 500 series dongle, no light, then you can upgrade all the way to 5.3.1. If you are staying on v4, then the latest is v4.8.0.
  11. If you do not have a program running that is causing this (check the logs) then you might try a factory reset and restore on that device. I had an indoor on/off module doing the same thing a couple of years ago.
  12. That's usually a sign that Java is not installed/available. If it is installed, try uninstalling it and then reinstalling Java.
  13. I wonder if you are having power problems. Maybe try another power supply.
  14. Check the Wiki here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#Admin_Console_Closes_Automatically
  15. Sounds like either a Java issue or a firewall issue.
  16. If you have access to the buildings system you should be able to make a DHCP reservation in settings. This would prevent your IP address from changing. If not, maybe set up a DNS with one of the companies that provide this service.
  17. Here is the troubleshooting guide from the Wiki. Scroll down until you find your issue. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#Troubleshooting_2
  18. I would suggest starting with Java as follows: Admin Console icon does not appear on the desktop Close all your browsers Go to System Preferences | Java to get to Java Control Panel Click on Delete Files and make sure you check Applications Click on the Settings Button Make sure Keep temporary files on my computer is checked Copy the directory under Location Open up Finder and delete the above directory under Location Close Java Control Panel Open a browser and retry the Admin Console (JNLP) URL If that doesn't correct all the issues, try: Java applications are blocked by your security settings Close all your browsers Go to System Preferences | Java to get to Java Control Panel Click on Delete Files and make sure you check Applications Click on the Settings Button Make sure Keep temporary files on my computer is checked Click on the Security tab on the top Click on Restore Security Prompts and then click on Restore All button on the ensuing dialog Click on the Edit Site List Click on the Add button Enter https://isy.universal-devices.com followed by hitting the Return key on the keyboard. Accept the warning Click on the OK button Followed by: admin.jnlp does not start the Admin Console If Java is indeed installed, the reason is that .jnlp file association is broken (it has to point to javaws.exe). Search for javaws.exe in the computer. Right mouse click and select "Open with" and point to "javaws.exe" to fix the .jnlp file association. Then: Admin Console Closes Automatically This is usually related to firewall software on your computer and especially with AVAST or AVG (including MAC). Two solutions: Use https (instead of http) to connect to your ISY Configure Your Firewall Software I hope some of this helps. If not, you can certainly open a ticket with UD. They are excellent and providing assistance.

    New to Z-Wave

Here are the instructions from the Wiki. Remove Devices Select Remove/Exclude a Z-Wave Device from the menu and wait for a popup window to appear. If the popup window does not appear, Select Stop Adding or Removing a Z-Wave Device from the advanced menu then try again. Put the Z-Wave device in link mode. Refer to the user guide for your product on how to do this. In many cases, this just requires you to press a button on the device. The ISY will remove the device (this may occur a few seconds after you put the device in link mode) The popup window will go away, but you will NOT see your device removed from the tree. Notes Deleting a node from the ISY does not delete it from the Z-Wave dongle. When nodes are removed with a different controller, the ISY nodes are disabled instead of deleted. This is done in case the user accidentally removes ISY from the Z-Wave network, which essentially tells ISY that all nodes are deleted. We may change this behaviour based on Alpha feedback. Adding Devices directly from ISY Make sure the ISY is the Primary Controller Select Add a Z-Wave Device from the menu and wait for a popup window to appear. If the popup window does not appear, Select 'Stop Adding or Removing a Z-Wave Device' from the advanced menu then try again. Put the Z-Wave device in link mode. Refer to the user guide for your product on how to do this. In many cases, this just requires you to press a button on the device. The ISY will begin adding the device (this may occur a few seconds after you put the device in link mode) The popup window will go away, and you will see your device added to the tree. Note All Secure devices such as door locks must be added to the ISY directly

When adding zwave devices, the first thing you should do is exclude the device and then include the device. Be sure to move the device within 3 feet of the ISY while doing this.

  22. Javi, How about support for Elk alarm system? Will that be coming soon?
  23. UD is working on an app and it is being done by @Javi. It is in early beta testing and looks very promising. It displays my zwave thermostat with all of the nodes available. In addition, it loads quickly and looks like it will support most if not all of the nodeserver a. It needs a little time to develop, but as I said, it looks very promising.
  24. Do you have a question? This is well known and in the Wiki for email customizations, right at the top of the page. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-994i_Series:EMail_and_Networking_Substitution_Variables
