  1. Price lower on build.com
  2. Are you running all on a Polisy? If so, PG2 will use almost no resources without node servers. Also, it’s been mentioned that pg2 will be removed from Polisy by UD sometime in the future
  3. Polisy Pro has wifi and so will have a board at that spot. Version 13 is the version of BSD Linux operating system Polisy runs on.
  4. Thanks for Node Server! Keep us posted.
  5. I’ve got a used 994 to help you out if it fails.
  6. I have many spares of most Insteon modules but with company demise was looking at installing RA3 as replacements in future. My house was built 14 years ago fully equipped with Insteon everywhere. Other than PLM and what I assume was a bad batch of keypadlincs, I’ve only started to replace a few switches in last couple years. Probably 3-6 per year. I actually look forward to single band device failing so I can install dual band. Response is nearly 100% and I lve still got lots of single band devices installed. I replaced working power line only lamplincs to strengthen dual mesh. In fact, I read SmartHome literature and thought all devices were dual band. Only to discover that they were released a little latter. I rebuilt the original access points that bridged 110 legs and they are still in place. The Insteon thermostat, IRlinc and door lock were a hot mess. I also miss the syncrolinc as they were perfect to track status of clothes washer and dishwasher for a hot water recirculating pump by only having bit run when needed. But I digress…. I can’t imagine pulling all of that out with Insteon appearing to be back. Not questioning your decision and in fact, selfishly looking forward to reading about your adventure. I do think power quality is an issue and had whole house surge protection installed during build. Keep us posted. I may join you someday. I
  7. Turn the lights on with magic home app just before discover is run in Node server and you’re more likely to find them.
  8. I’ve got a new in box I purchased as a spare.
  9. I’ll take 1 or 2!
  10. Their strip controllers will sometimes lose wifi. Try turning them off and then on. Also, I think Node server stores their IP address. Did they change?
  11. Those are probably addresses that existed in that switch. When you add there are question about finding them. If that’s your older switches, I’d factory reset each before linking them. I’d delete that one and add again.
  12. From your description, I’d say the answer is yes to full reset and rebuild so you know you’re at a good known spot. Otherwise you could be chasing gremlins forever if you try to “fix” it. However, I’d enter a support ticket with UD.
  13. You can load 5.3.4 with full support. PLM and zwave. You then move forward from there. All zwave device should remain. As always, backup zwave first and then ISY so you can recover if an issue occurs.
  14. Thanks, all. It’s a 2476D with date code 0930. Gonna throw it in broken box for now since it looks like we’re in Insteon business for at least a few more years.
  15. Got to be at least same device class Dimmer with dimmer Relay with relay There is a replace device function that’s fixes all links and programs.
  16. No programs in any case where it has occurred and using replace device in ISY has always fixed it.
  17. In this case, the specific switch is a member of a three way scene and doesn’t directly control a load. The eventual load is a ceiling fixture with LED bulbs. You can communicate with the dimmer. I’ve got switch wired into a plug in harness to see if it does it outside scene and electrical box. The last time it happened, it was incandescent bulbs in exact same 3 way config. Don’t recall for certain but believe it was switch that controlled the load.
  18. Over the years, I’ve had a few dimmers that fail by going through a cycle of on and off repeating every few seconds up to 20ish seconds. I’ve done usual factory reset and resend programming. If any thing, early in issue leaving it off for some time makes it better for a time — maybe heat sensitive but so few times I can’t really confirm that pattern. Also, most have been several years old. In good old days, I just replaced without a second thought and didn’t pay as much attention. Had one on Friday and I’ve replaced it with a spare. Any thoughts on what I’d need to repair it electronically.
  19. I think Command was created to cover protocols/Node server devices other than Insteon but… Instead of Update Insteon, try Update Command and set the On Level to your variable.
  20. The dimmer outlet is in stock right now but you said you need relay on/off. https://shop.insteon.com/products/insteon-remote-control-dimmer-outlet?variant=39902576607365
  21. That confirmed my thought process. Reinstalled from production store and devices all remained the same. The polling intervals did revert to defaults. At least shortpoll did as I had lowered it a bit below default. Thanks!
  22. I purchased and installed the Node server when it was only in the non-prodcution store and it is labeled as Beta. Works great for my very limited use of LED strips. I now see it in the production store with same version number. Simply for future support purposes, should I install again from the production store?
  23. I’d use current serial PLM to control number of things changing at same time.
  24. Glad to hear it!
