  1. I don't think its a dual bright http://www.homedepot.ca/product/heath-zenith-240-degree-replacement-motion-sensor-bronze/908404 I would wire it with a 9volt power adapter
  2. All I want to do is have my existing 500w outdoor flood light, come on when I unter my drive way (by motion) as well as being able to turn on the light by remote or switch. Currently I only have a standard motion sensor connected to the light and no manual on off. Only reason I wanted to use the existing motion sensor was my worry that the insteon sensor would not be good exposed to the elements.
  3. Yes that is the same sensor I have
  4. I guess if others have used the insteon indoor motion sensor, outdoors and haven't had a problem then this would be my easiest solution.
  5. Im in Canada and it gets very cold and I also wonder if the insteon sensor is water resistant? Any chance of sending me a link of the MicroOnOff module you recommend? Thanks
  6. So I connect the "standard" motion sensor into the I/O linc to receive power for the sensor and also connect to the I/O linc as if the I/O linc was a light?
  7. I need weather proof
  8. I wanted to know if there is a outdoor motion sensor for insteon or can a non insteon (regular outdoor motion sensor) be modified to work with the insteon system, possibly using the I/OLinc?
  9. Guess I assumed it did automatically because of the option to upgrade manually
  10. What are the "couple of features that require connect service" are you referring to?
  11. Not too sure about this mobilinc cloud service. I have the app and I guess my trail period for the service will run out in a week. If I have the app but not the service, will the app be useless?
  12. Do you need to buy anything extra or just the KPL and put your own labels on it?
  13. So you cant still do your method?
  14. I was wondering how hard it would be to create your own custom buttons and how it would turn out. Has anyone here tried?
  15. Does the isy update automatically?
  16. Just wondering when the next ISY update will be and what will be added or fixed? Also when was the last firmware?
  17. So is this still a good product? Reliable?
  18. I set button f to control the bathroom lights in a scene. I then did a program to control the outside lights by fast on for button f. When I do fast on for f the outside lights and the bathroom lights come on. How do you cancel the fast on and fast off in the scenes?
  19. But without that program what is the default temp of the sensor? When does the alarm go off
  20. Can you set which temperature you want it to alert you?
  21. Is your remote set to 8 button toggle or non toggle?
  22. Thank you for your help. I still have lots to learn as I didnt fully understand the replies but I just found a very simple answer. I leave my one single program on isy to send a notification when my door is open. Then I set a profile on tasker with a location of 50 meters from my house. My task is the mobilinc plugin and within mobilinc I select program then my door open notification program and say disable. My exit task is simply re enable the program. So far works perfect. I did a simple test that it is activated when wifi connected so I could watch my isy. Everytime I connected to the wifi my program disabled in the isy. When I shut off wifi the program enabled instantly on the isy.
  23. Any chance you can show me an example because I don't quite get it.
