The wiki steps include : 3. Backup your 994's Z-Wave dongle (Admin Console | Z-Wave | Utilities | Backup | Full) However, I don't see the Utilities to back up the dongle. See picture. 9. Reconfigure any software utilizing the ISY994 to point to the IoP (From Step 4), restart the other software, if necessary. I am not sure to what software this may apply.

I believe that you are asking the right questions. Maybe when Michel and Chris have some more time (and hopefully having relaxed a bit over this New Year, they can fine-tune the instructions for less-techies like me. Right now I have the ZMatter on my eisy with just one (ZWave) device and everything else on Polisy with the Zooz dongle. Both eisy and Polisy are on 5.5.2 . It would be easy to move the ZMatter USB back to Polisy but step-by-step instructions would be helpful, and for me also the possibility to (temporarely) move back to Polisy should the migration feel. I have been asking (too) many questions the past few days, but I fully understand that UD needs time, so though I may not give the impression, I am patient

Thanks for your feedback. This leads to another question..... If I switch off my Polisy, move the Zooz dongle to eisy (and remove the ZMatter board), do a Restore of my latest Polisy backup, should that work ? AND if it does not, can I then move the Zooz dongle back to my Polisy and that works ? If it does work, I should then be able to try the migration to the ZMatter board ?
-
When the migrigation failed, did you shut off eisy and perform a restore of your latest backup on Polisy ? At one point I want to try out the migration, as long as I can be comfortable to use Polisy if the migration fails.
-
As said, migration is not fully ready, so my best advice is not doing it right now. My best guess is that to avoid any conflict / trouble, keep the hub or origin (in my case Polisy) powered off when restoring the Polisy backup to eisy. It could create all kind of trouble if the same Zwave id is recognized by 2 hubs. Your question is probably, but what if the migration fails, then can you still use the original hub ? That is an excellent question, and theoretically (BUT do NOT take my word for it), in such case I could imagine that if I then keep the eisy powered off, and power on the Polisy again, the old set up would still work. But there too many IFs for the be sure about that. As before, my best advice is to wait for UD, and more experienced users, to post about this.

I did indeed not remove the top half and I would hesitate to take the risk of breaking the board all together. I was however able (with some effort) to fully enter the screws. In fact, I remember that by turning the top around it was easier.

It took me some 30 minutes to get the board in the enclosure as you are right that is not easy to fit it. The board is slightly tilted and one of the antenna pins kept coming off the board. Finally I did get the board (slightly tilted) in the enclosure and hopefully the antenna pin remains in place. I don't remember whether the problem pin is the Zwave or the Zigbee, but my eisy now does recognize Zwave. In other words, I'll have to wait for the Zigbee firmware upgrade to confirm that both pins remain in place.

I want to make sure that I understand your question.... A Zwave device communicates with EITHER Polisy or eisy, not with both. It cn only be "included" with one hub.

Consider getting Home Assistant, it is an excellent complement to ISY. I mostly use HA as a front for ISY on my computers, but it has Integrations (HA term for node servers) that ISY does not.
-
Nest changed its API and the Node Server no longer works with ISY. I use Home Assistant as a complement to my ISY and HA has a working Nest integration.

It is my understanding that the migration tool is not ready and therefore trying to migrate may result in the issues that you are experiencing.
-
Happy New Year to you too and THANKS for the great job.

As of now, the 1 Zwave plug-in device in eisy 5.5.2 either is slow or not reacting at all. When restarting iox in the AC, it works again initially and then not again.
-
I have some 80 Zwave devices on my Polisy and just 1 (right now) on eisy. They all seem to work fine after the upgrade to 5.5.2 . I did NOT migrate yet. It took some time to synchronize after the update but so far no problems that I have noted.
-
I upgraded both Polisy and eisy to 5.5.2. So far everything works fine. Note that on my Polisy (with large number of devices and programs) it took a while before everything showed up the first time. Specifically, initially the Zwave dongle did not show up but after a minute or so the Zwave synch ran in the background. The second time, everything showed up fast & furious .

I have some 80 Zwave devices and a quite a few Kasa and LifX devices, so for me as well migration is a must.

As @brianspointed out, that post seems to have been deleted and further instructions should come. I am like you and did not understand the procedure. I think that the team is working over time to get this right and I am more than willing to patient, as eager as I am.
-
Most likely you are right. I upgraded my eisy and I assume that the migration will override whatever I now have on eisy, which is 1 (Zwave) device.

I received email with Chris Jahn has posted a topic, IoX Release v5.5.1 Is Now Available though I did not see that posting in the forum. I am looking forward how others progress with migration. I have read Chris' post several times, but (unless mistaken) I did not see anything on migration from Polisy to eisy. The way I understood it is that it covers migration on Polisy from Zooz to ZMatter. I don't think that I should restore a Polisy backup to eisy, or should I ? I am asking these questions because others may have a better understanding and I am waiting to see clarity.
-
No problem for me either. Time is on time

I use this as I find it easy to see if any devices are ON in one of the rooms (scenes). I have the folder set as Default instead of Folder. The issue that I have is that the "scene members" appear in a different order than the order I have these in the Administrative Console and I have not found a way to change the order in UD Mobile.
-
You also need the ZMatter board USB. While I wait for the migration tool to move my setup, I added one Zwave device with success.
-
Thanks. Right now I am using both Polisy and eisy until migration tool is in place. I was trying to see if I could use the NS on both, but I can wait till migration.
