  1. It is still early in California
  2. If you have an issue including the lock a foot away from the ISY then distance does not appear to be the problem. As you have several of these locks, one possibility could be to move one of the other working locks to the outbuilding. Depending on the outcome that would confirm that distance is, or is not, an issue. I don't use Zwave locks and if distance is determined not to be the issue, and a new lock gives you the same problem, then I am puzzled what the problem could be.
  3. That is what I understood from your comment : ".............So if you buy a GM vehicle, GM can stop making spare parts for past-model vehicles, and you won't ask if there's another option?......................"
  4. Respectfully, you are wrong. Apple stops support for certain Iphones and Ipads after a number of years. Many of us chose UD because of its technology and support. If I wanted simple home automation then I would probably stick to Alexa or Google Home. UD is a business and at some point it has to choose between supporting older products or developing new ones. Financially it may not be able to do both. I bought my ISY in 2014, my Polisy in 2018 or 2019 and hopefully soon eisy in 2023. That is (give or take) $ 400 every 4 years and a benefit from the latest technology with superb support probably for 6- 8 years for each product cycle. Not a bad deal in my mind.
  5. UD has made great efforts in the development of UD Mobile. That business decision may have come at the detriment of 3rd party Apps, which could take useful time away from the UD Mobile development.
  6. I dropped Mobilinc long ago when Mobilinc Pro was replaced by X (or was it vice versa). I found the new version a degradation. Furthermore now there is UD Mobile which is way more powerful and easy to use. I also use Home Assistant, mostly as a front UI for ISY and using a few HA integrations. Now that UD Mobile exists I doubt that Mobilinc will ever be updated.
  7. Not exactly..... ZMatter and eisy are the next iteration of UD,
  8. As @lilyoyo1pointed out, there are different options for each Zwave manufacturer. I also believe that the current ISY firmware is not very Zwave Scene friendly, but apparenly that is about to change.
  9. Hopefully the upcoming ZMatter firmware upgrade will get ZWave scenes working as outlined some time ago.
  10. I know but I was just curious if the board would show up somewhere.
  11. As a side note, how can I confirm that the ZMatter board was properly installed in my Polisy ? I have not had any issue since the installation, but am wondering whether there is a way to confirm that the ZMatter board is working.
  12. I made the mistake not reading properly. The earlier message was about migration from ISY to Polisy. The ZMatter migration instructions have not yet been published. Maybe later today.
  13. A good lesson for me to read the fine print
  14. Following the instructions, I do not find «utilities» as an option in (Admin Console | Z-Wave | Utilities | Backup | Full) . My setup : PG3 Version 3.1.15 Status: Connected Frontend Version: 3.1.15 ISY Version: 5.4.5 What am I doing wrong ? Connected
  15. This afternoon I installed the new board in my Polisy. Thanks for the suggestion to first install the antennas which made it easier !!!!!!! However it took me quite some time to connect the antenna wire connectors to the board. They would not "click" as in the instructions and did come loose. After trying and trying for some 20 minutes I finally succeeded. Then when restarting the Polisy, at first the Zwave dongle did not start and I rebooted the Polisy more than 5 times with same result. Then Polisy did not show up at all in the launcher. Finally I removed power from the Polisy for several minutes and then fortunately everything (including Zwave) came back. Next step the firmware upgrade with the migration to the new board.
  16. Program 1 IF Status A is ON THEN B is ON ELSE B is OFF Program 2 IF Status B is ON THEN A is ON ELSE A is OFF
  17. I just want you to know that I have several 3-way ZWave setups in my home. While the program is a solution, having 3-way switches setup is better.
  18. I don't know much about Insteon but I have various ZWave 3-ways. It used to be that for ZWave 3-ways you needed the main switch and special auxiliary switches. Nowadays there several manufacturers that allow you to have a 3-way (or 4-way) using a Zwave as main switch and using your existing Non-Zwave (plain old switch) as secondary. It may involve some wiring redirecting depending on where your Line, Load, Neutral are. I had a situation where the Line and the Neutral of an existing 3-way were in different wall boxes, so it was bit complicated but it worked. Of course you can also create a ISY program that works like a 3-way..... IF A is ON THEN B is ON; IF B is ON THEN A is ON, and same for OFF.
  19. With all due respect, these outages are rare and don't last a long time. I have more outages with Comcast and these last longer.
  20. I still don't know what TPM stands for
  21. @Techman Do I understand that you succesfully installed and use the new ZMatter board using Zwave ?
  22. Time to open a ticket with UD.
