I need some guidance....... A few weeks ago I installed the Virtual Buttons Node server, without actually doing something with it. I noticed that the Node server shows in PG3 Dashboard but as unmanaged and I don't know how to remove it as there is no delete option. It used to be that we could remove a Node server on the Node server Store. That is no longer possible. Anyone has a suggestion :

Just now for the 3rd time the Zwave dongle stopped responding and obviously none of my Zwave devices were working. As in the previous instances, after some 5 reboots of IoP, the system came back. I have no idea what it can be and I sent copies of the log and error log to UD Support, hoping that they can identify the issue. If the Zwave dongle would be deficient, could I simply buy a new one and perform a Restore of my latest backup ?

I have no idea whether it is related or not, but yesterday (for the second time) my Zwave dongle stopped working. Like the previous time, several weeks ago, it took several reboots, probably at least 5, to get the dongle to respond again. My Polisy is inside a closet and there is no reason to think that the dongle was moved, so I must assume that it is some kind of bug or setting. Next time it happens (hopefully never) I will try to remember to download the error log and send it to UD.

@Michel Kohanim Just to be 100% sure, you agree with @Bumbershoot that using the "Upgrade Packages" should have updated my Polisy OS and therefore no need to flash or change the SD card ?

Betamax was better than VHS....... VHS survived Betamax. Then VHS was replaced by digital. Insteon was better than Zwave...... Zwave survived Insteon. Zwave will be replaced as well.

i just read the marketing email of UD on the availability of the new board. After clicking on one of the links in that email I saw that a Polisy with a OS version below 13 must be updated. This appears especially to be the case if the Polisy is older than one or two years, as it is for me. Right now I am trying to avoid having to open my Polisy to change the board (I am not an experienced geek) and prefer to wait preferably for eisy or for the USB board, if the eisy is delayed. Question : How can I find out what is my current OS version ? I guess I would need PutTy (which I have used a few times). As said, my preference is to wait for eisy, but if I decide to go for the USB board on Polisy then I may to have to go for what is written on UD's Wiki........... Eisy where are you ?

I have no idea, but my Nest Thermostats can be viewed and controlled on HA. Home Assistant is an excellent complement for ISY, while ISY is a better core.

I'd suggest that a Node server developer gives it another shot as the Nest integration works on Home Assistant.

I am with you. I realize that eisy may add expense to my setup, but my current setup works well, so I can wait with the new features till eisy, as I would get eisy one day or another anyway. What I stll would like to know is how to migrate from Polisy to eisy and/or to the new board (if I change my mind and go for the new USB dongle, when it comes ut). Is is as simple as restoring a backup or is there an actual tool ?

Migration to new board is in the AC through Backup ISY to Restore ISY ?

You mention that it comes with enclosure, but I dont see that on Amazon

I am holding off for the time being and right now my plan is to wait for eisy and the USB dongle. I have a pretty strong Zwave mesh network, so my needs are not super urgent. Nor do I have Zigbee devices and Matter devices (to the best of my knowledge) are not available. Hopefully eisy and the USB dongle arrive towards November.

Interesting........ I remember indeed several days ago that the new board could be used both for Polisy and for eisy. Yesterday Michel said that there we would not be able to add anything inside eisy. So your comment seems to make sense. However I also understood that (for Polisy) we would have the choice of a board or USB. So now you raise a new doubt for me...... Will there be one or two USB devices; one to connect the board to eisy and/or one that is by itself the equivalent of the new board.
