Yes, but it mentions payment, so I am not sure. I did install a free NS. It is not a big issue as I assume, one way or another, that it will be part of the migration process.
-
Can someone remind me how to install node servers on eisy that I already purchased on Polisy, without having to pay again ? P.S. I succesfully added eisy to PG3
-
@bpwwer If not mistaken you transferred Google Holidays Node Server to PG3. I tried to add this NS to eisy but when clicking on the Authentication link I systematically get this message : Access blocked: Holidays Google Node Server’s request is invalid xxxxxxl@gmail.com You can’t sign in because Holidays Google Node Server sent an invalid request. You can try again later, or contact the developer about this issue. Learn more about this error If you are a developer of Holidays Google Node Server, see error details. I understand your frustration. It is just that most of us think the world of UD's customer support and they are usually super responsive. So, if they missed out on you it is certainly not a reflection on their usual service.

I see your point. You mean Zooz dongle to Zooz dongle..... Others may have a better perspective than me.
-
To the best of my knowledge, we are not yet supposed to do that as UD is still fine-tuning the migration tool.

I installed my eisy. As prescribed, I used UD Mobile to connect the eisy. I twice tried the Wifi procedure without success and then Bingo at first attempt with ethernet . The whole installation was fast and easy in maybe less than 5 minutes. Congratulations to UD for the simple process. I already noticed that eisy opens fast and I can't wait to explore all new upcoming features. The more intense part was adding the Zmatter board in the enclosure. That took some time. Getting the antenna connectors through the holes needed some insistence and one of the 2 antenna pins kept coming off the board. It was succesful at the end as the board was recognized by eisy and I added one Zwave device to make sure. Hopefully the antenna pin will stay on the board. I do not remember whether it is the Zigbee or Zwave pin. I am waiting for the migration tool and will not be adding more devices. The eisy shows up in my ISY Portal but with an expiring license. I probably will need to open a ticket with UD for this. I also succesfully added eisy to my Home Asssistant as a second ISY and the one Zwave device shows up in HA. Apparently eisy automatically uses the Polisy connections to Alexa and Google Home. Shortly after finishing the installation, eisy one time disappeared from the launcher and also showed as not connected in UD Mobile. It came back after a power cycling (removing USB C cable from eisy). Remembering @brians ‘s description on Scene Association in 5.5 with the new board, I did not find any node like Basic Assoc Only . The one installed Zwave device is a Zooz Zen 04 700 series. It only shows 4 nodes : Basic Control, Binary Switch, Energy Meter and Power Alarm. Maybe it is specific to the device, something I do not understand or did wrong, or because I only have 1 device registered in eisy. I am sure that I’ll get this working eventually.

Not a good idea ....... I have faith in UD in finalizing the migration tool. Excluding, including, re-doing my programs is NOT my favorite holiday activity. But your concern for my holiday boredom is appreciated What I WILL do is to remove the ZMatter board from my Polisy and putting it in the enclosure that I received today.

Follow-up : Will eisy come with 5.5. as firmware ? I will find out when installing my new eisy Should I upgrade my Polisy to 5.5 while continuing, for time being, using Zooz Dongle, even though the ZMatter board has been installed on my Polisy (also for time being) ? Is 5.5 now fully operational for Zwave ? I now know that 5.5 is "just" an upgrade of the firmware and of course work with ZWave as before. The pending issue is the migration from the Zooz dongle to the ZMater board. What is the best procedure to perform the 5.5. upgrade (AC or on Polisy) ? It was extremly easy. I just clicked on Upgrade Pckages on the Admin. Console Configuration tab.
-
The difference is that ZMatter on UD Mobile will happen soon while it is unlikely that it is worth the while for Mobilinc to make that investment. UD is working hard in finalizing all aspects of ZWave on ZMatter and UD Mobile and will get there soon. Patience is a better quality than complaining.
-
Use UD Mobile. You won't regret it.
-
Many thanks @briansI had understood that this a capability of 5.5, but now I understand that it is part of ZMatter. As previously commented, I am waiting to use the ZMatter board until the migration procedure has been tested. With my approx 80 ZWave devices, I am not taking risks 😃. But great to see that you got the ZWave Scene figured out and thanks for sharing.

My Motion Sensor is Zwave + and has Association, but I do not find a Basic Association Only Node. Same for several switches that I checked. Any guidance ? ISY-Events-Log.v5.5.0__Fri 2022.12.23 10.27.42 AM.rtf
-
Should this work with a motion sensor and a ON/OFF switch ?
-
What shows after restarting the Administrative Console ? I just clicked on Upgrade Packages in the AC and that did the job. I was worried for no good reason.
-
I was hesitant for no good reason. I did the Update Packages in the AC and now I am on 5.5. It could not have been simpler.
-
Thanks. A thought : Would the migration require (or be better with) a 5.5 backup ?
-
(1) Yes I have ordered the enclosure (2) Yes, the plan is to move to eisy (3) THAT is the $ 64,000 question : a. What benefit do I have to upgrade Polisy to 5.5 if in a few weeks I hope to move to eisy ? b. Is there any risk to my Zwave setup to move to 5.5 while keeping the Zooz dongle ? c. Is the upgrade procedure to 5.5 as simple as the previous upgrades (5.1, 5.2 etc) as those worked like a charm for me ?
-
I have the ZMatter board, installed on Polisy but only using the Zooz Dongle.
-
Feel free to blame me for : (1) Not properly reading all posts and instructions (2) Not being smart enough (3) Asking the same questions again My eisy is in the mail, but I will wait with migration till the (upcoming) tool has been tested by the smarter among you all. My questions : Will eisy come with 5.5. as firmware ? Should I upgrade my Polisy to 5.5 while continuing, for time being, using Zooz Dongle, even though the ZMatter board has been installed on my Polisy (also for time being) ? Is 5.5 now fully operational for Zwave ? What is the best procedure to perform the 5.5. upgrade (AC or on Polisy) ?
-
I am somewhat on the same wavelength. My current setup (Polisy/Zooz Dongle 5.4.5) works fine and I see no need to upgrade till I receive my eisy, hoping that by then the issues will be resolved. I did install the ZMatter board, but am not using it right now).
