Except for a few upgrades that use added hardware. Most added modules are firmware only. When you purchase the module. The added features are added to your unit remotely. The IR is slightly different as you have to physically add the IR hardware board to the unit and buy the add on. Purchase Modules function is in the Help Tab of the Administrative Console. Opens a web page where you can see the avilable ones and their cost. I have not seen a separate list of Module prices lately.

#1 yes that is how I did mine. Restore ISY using the last backup. I had to then point the nightly Query Program to My Lighting. #2 I also sent the uuid for both my ISY99i and new ISY994i to UDI and they transfered my modules to the new uuid. With the older 2412S providing power. It was an unregulated 12 volts that was closer to 17 volts depending on the load.

My ISY994i seems to process things like checking links faster but it maybe just my perception of what is happening. The ISY994i may use more power. I have not seen any requirements posted but mine came with a 5 volt 1 amp supply. Maybe a cushion for added accessories at a later date.

Don't forget an external power supply. The old 2412S supplied power to the ISY99i. The replacement Dual Band 2413S does not supply power to the iSY99i and you use the external power connector on the ISY99i to power it.

My original I/OLinc displays 20 and I can set the time and it sticks. Next time it again shows 20 but the 50 I set was still active. My I2CS Beta model shows 0 and I can set it. Next time it again shows 0 but the time did stick. Hoping it is just my beta device as I could not have momentary C work at all.

Make sure that 3.2.4 is displayed in the UI and Firmware lines of the Help Tab About Choice. Do you have any Dual Band Devices or a passive phase coupler in your setup to bridge the homes split phase power?

You should have a micro SD card behind the cover. You may want to contact the vendor you bought it from. Though I know UDI's support is second to none and they may post some added thoughts.

Power Strip? If the power strip has noise filtering in it. It can absorb the Insteon Signals. Try a test with direct AC wall power.

Lee, My ISY994i has a small plasitc snap on cover on the front marked. "MicroSD" next to the red error LED. I have never peeked inside it.

It does sound like some transient or noise. Messing up the KPLs electronic. If you pull the Air Gap Switch on the KPL and wait a few seconds. Then gently push it in to its normal position {too far may reset it}. Does the problem clear up?

The ISY Maximums you listed are for the Pro versions of the 99i and 994i The Standard 99i and 994i maximums are 256 Devices/Scenes and 300 Programs.

Did you use the Start Linking choice when adding the devices and then stop the process after you where through with the Finish Button? Is the LED on the PLM still flashing like it is in the linking mode?

Yes. That is what the manual says. Battery has to be removed and then reinstalled a few seconds later for the jumper change to happen.

blueman2; V2.4 is more likely the hardware version. That would be the number on a white sticker. What firmware version is reported by My Lighting?

Regular incandescent bulbs being used? The InLineLinc Dimmer isn't powered through another switch is it?

I have seen the internal photos of the 2491T in the FCC Database. It does look like it can take the Humidity Module. You may want to see if the module is installed as I believe it maybe an option. If not the HUM/NO HUM jumper is set to NO HUM.

I have seen some internal photos of the Dual Band wired in devices, in the FCC database. There antennas are not in an ideal place for coverage.
