  1. Hardware issue. The LED is driven right from the ISY994i's internal power supply. So the LED itself or the current limiting resistor are the most likely candidates. If everything else seems to be OK. It may just be a LED failure.
  2. Try a different power supply. There have been reports here of this problem. There are a few message threads here on the same problem you are having. If your old supply has a LED on it. It may not be On or is very dim. I have had three power supplies fail. On various models I have used over the years. ISY994i has a wide voltage range it can use. 5 to 30 Volts DC Center connection is +. Mine where all 5 volt ones. Many here have used 12 volt ones and UDI sells a replacement in their store. 12 volts 1 amp.
  3. Possible the DC output from the old supply. Was full of AC ripple and the ISY994i could not use it but the LEDs sill where lighting. Maybe dimmer than normal.
  4. Thank you for the update. Good to see it is functioning OK. This is from an I/OLinc Hardware Revision V2.3, firmware 41. If yours is newer it could be different. On mine pushing the Set button to toggle the relay. Does not send a signal back to the ISY994i. So it will have no idea you used the local Set Button. To trigger any program.
  5. I have some of the original revision. 2476S SwitchLinc V2 modules. No Air Gap switch. Factory reset was a combination of holding the top paddle for ten seconds and release. Tap the set button. Then hold the set button in for ten seconds.
  6. The 2457D2 would work fine. The 2992-222 Range Extender is a 2457D2 with the dimmer components not installed.
  7. If set to Momentary A as shown for 2 seconds. It should just pulse the relay for 2 seconds and then it would go off. I suspect it does not send a signal back to the ISY994i and it thinks it may still be On. You can look at the LED on the side. If it is dim the relay is Off or Bright it is On.
  8. You asking about the Magnetic Switch or the Output relay in the I/OLinc. The internal relay should be set to pulse on for a few seconds. To simulate you pushing the openers control button. The magnetic switch is designed to be On when the magnet is close to it. As it is a security systems sensor.
  9. The magnetic sensor in the kit was changed awhile back. Did the old kit have a magnetic sensor. That had three connections? Normally Open,Normally Closed and a Common. With the old model sensor you could wire it On. With the magnet near the switch or away from the switch. It could also be possible. They changed the magnetic sensor. So it is now in the opposite state when the magnet is close to it.
  10. The FCC internal photos of a 2475D2. Show it has a switching power supply. Not too clear what type electrolytic capacitors are in it. So not immediately clear if they are rated for a switching supply. Like the 2413S PLM issue we have seen. I may pop one open and give it a look. One symptom on the 2413S was worked for awhile then stopped. Powering it down and let it cool off. It would again work for awhile.
  11. Is it the older power line only 2456D or the newer 2457D dual band model? If it is the older model 2456D2 or 2456D3. I would think it maybe starting to fail. I had the On/Off model 2456S3 starting to pulse on and off at about a 1 second cycle. Was a bad capacitor in the unit. I don't have much experience with the 2457D modules. It could be starting to get flaky.
  12. Wrong UI version. The ISY Launcher. Picks the correct UI for the firmware installed. https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/24381-isy-launcher/?tab=comments#comment-242590
  13. There is lots of information, tutorials and videos in the UDI wiki. Including the ISY Cookbook. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page
  14. The I/OLinc modules. Have the same switching power supply chip as the 2413 line of PLMs. So I would think they may also have power supply issues and acting strange if the supply is getting flaky. In my 2450 modules. Smarthome tried a few different capacitors in the supply to try and improve reliability. Not a Pi style filter just a single C7. My V1.0 units where 10uF/25V close to the supplies output voltage. A 10uF/50V in a V1.8. Latest I have is a 220uF/50V in a V2.3
  15. If you did not Factory Reset the module first. We have seen some modules having test addresses in them from the factory. So if you used add existing links. I would also think it maybe a link for a module not in your setup.
  16. On my later purchased ISY994i. One of the case mounting screws is under the ISY994i label with is Bar Coded part number. The earlier one I have there was no label over one of the case mounting screws. So it is very possible. You have a label covering one of the case mounting screws.
  17. Do you have a Z-Wave enabled ISY904i? The modules in the older post are Z-Wave devices. You could use a ELK9200 heavy duty 220 Volts contactor in its enclosure. https://www.elkproducts.com/product-catalog/elk-9200-heavy-duty-relay-contactor Controlled by a 120Volt Insteon plug in module or a switch. Or a contactor controlled by an Insteon Module.
  18. No it will not work. It is a USB adapter. You need a 2413S serial PLM. To connect to the ISY994i's serial port jack.
  19. When I just looked. The Z-Wave Plus board is showing in the UDI Store and not marked Back Ordered. If you find another dealer with it. Make sure it is not an earlier older version board.
  20. I suspect the Smartenit (Simplehomenet) modules may have had a firmware that worked with their custom daughter boards. I have seen the later 2413 main boards not boot without a daughter board on it. Like the earlier ones did. So another thought would be the Smartenit board didn't satisfy the base 2413 board.
  21. An extra MOV can't hurt. On the AC input pin screws. You won't even have to modify the PCB.
  22. Did a short test. Only USB PLM I have is a V3.1 2412U. I took the Serial Board from a rebuilt V1.5 2413S PLM. Installed the Serial Board in the 2412 chassis. Using a PLM test routine in DockLight Scripting. It worked fine. Sent and received X10 commands. Acted correctly for other commands. Only exception is it reported it was a Category 03 Subcategory 0B USB version PLM not the 03 11 Serial PLM. I don't think an ISY994i uses the PLM type ID. Just the reported six digit Insteon ID and firmware version so it probably would work OK. A USB to serial adapter would not work as pointed out. A USB PLM has a 'B' USB Jack not a 'A' USB plug on a USB to serial adapter.
  23. From your PCB backside photo. The firmware label on the main controller is 85. The presently being sold V2.5 is 9E. So a new one would also get you later firmware and a freshly manufactured 2413S. The C7 and C13 caps are now designed to be in switching power supplies. It also will have the new Serial Interface Daughter Board. It has a better serial interface chip. That has a better ESD protection rating and a protection network is on the serial signals to the outside world.
  24. That is a original hardware design V1.0. It may also be in a few other early 2413 PLM revision main boards. I have only seen a V1.0 myself. It has hanging parts and rework on it. (C7 and C13 and an added coil). The original designed board. Looks like it did not have a pi filter on the DC supply. Just a single capacitor for a filter. The pi filter is on the later designed PCB. So no hanging components or fly wires from the front of the PCB to the back. Let us know what capacitor values you find in yours. I had one with a pair of 10uF/25VDC capacitors in mine. In the supply that can be 20.5VDC.
  25. You may want to start by get some information in the UDI WIKI. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page There are some very good manuals, tutorials, setup videos and the ISY Cookbook there.
