  1. Yes. Both the old 2456D and present 2457D2 LampLinc modules have local control sensing. This small sensing voltage is enough to keep low power LEDs glowing when Off. The older 2456S ApplianceLinc also has the sensing current and will cause low wattage LEDs to glow. The 2635-222 On/Off modules don't have the sensing voltage and don't cause a low wattage LED to glow. The LampLinc manuals indicate you can turn On and Off local control sensing. I have found the sensing voltage is still there when disabled. Just ignored if you toggle the lamps local switch from on to off and back on. Found differences in the 2457D and 2457D2 manuals. Some of the older revisions did not have sensing. So I can't say if the small voltage is on the older revisions.
  2. The 2443 Access Points have been replaced with the Insteon 2992-222 Range Extender. If your tests show it maybe needed. https://www.smarthome.com/insteon-2992-222-range-extender.html The 2450 I/OLinc is power line only. So if the power line Insteon signals don't reach its location. You possibility could need one. Since it is a 2457D2 LampLinc with out the dimmer parts. Some have the LampLinc or On/Off module. For future automation upgrades.
  3. If you are curious. You could open the Event Viewer in Level 3. Then run the Scene Test and see what is displayed for module in question. In a scene that passed and the scent that the module failed. To see if the Max Hops=1 and what the Max Hops Left= is.
  4. The Scene Test is a strict communications test. Turns the Scene being tested On and then Off. It sets the Max Hops=1 and if the module does not ACK with a Hops Left=1. The test shows a module as failed if the ACK is not received back. Probably if the Hops Left =0. I suspect that particular module in the tested scene . Is not sending an ACK back with out decreasing the Hops left count and showing a fail. I have had a Scene Test show a failed module but in normal use. I have seen no problems with the module.
  5. The magnetic switch probably failed and was not closing when it should of.
  6. The Memory and Error LEDs flashing is a can not communicate with the network. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#Front_Panel_LEDs.2FLights. If the RX and TX LEDs on the back are also off. You may want to check the network cable and device it is connected to see if its jacks LEDs for the ISY994i are also both off.
  7. The plastic seems to be quite brittle. If you look at how the pins and PCB is fastened to the back piece. That could also put stress on the back if the pins are firmly held by the outlets socket connections. I have worried about unplugging a few of mine. That seemed to be resistant to removal from the outlet.
  8. Steve Lee posted on the Insteon Forums. There is lots of things going on but can't comment on it right now. https://forum.insteon.com/forum/main-category/new-insteon-device-wish-list/8221-plm-pro/page4
  9. I have not seen the Light Pipe and paddle color change kits for the SwitcLincs in a long time. If they are going to concentrate on the Hubs. I hope they improve them. I have seen many reports the Hubs are also failing on a regular basis as the 2413 PLM's. Though it looks like they have a repair service for the HUB modules.
  10. The I/OLinc uses the same switching power supply chip as the 2413 PLM does. It is possible the supply is going bad or it is an early hardware revision with the small value capacitor in the power supply.
  11. I did see a pod cast a little while ago from an electronics show. Where Steve Lee has indicated new products where in the works but could not elaborate further. I have not seen anything on Smarthome and Smartlabs health. I have also questioned their present status and how many of the Insteon devices are now gone.
  12. The relay outputs are not polarity sensitive. So controlling Low Voltage AC or DC is fine. As long as your voltage is less than 30 volts and 5 amps. The Sensor Inputs have a sensing voltage on them and ANY voltage applied to the sensor Inputs can damage the circuit. Modules can be set to go Off when a scene is started. So you may want to double check it is not set to go Off when the Keypad is turned On.
  13. Does your ISY994iPRO/IR have a ZWave daughter board in it. To add ZWave support. That the modules use?
  14. If the magnetic switch is not closing. You maybe able to use a test clip lead and jump across the switches lead wires. If the LED lights then the switch maybe not closing. I don't know how it would act if the switch was stuck closed. You could try tapping it a few times and see if it works.
  15. The manual button Factory Reset is not necessary but a good measure anyway. The first progress message in the Restore Modem function is "PLM Reset". A software reset command is sent to the PLM.
  16. I tried a V1.A 2411T and got basically the same set of messages you got. Mine was Reason 1. Firmware 4.7.3 as you have. Start Linking mode. Showed the proper Category and Subcategory 07 03 for the 2411T and a firmware of 4A in the 2411T. I vaguely remember some post here about 2411T modules. Something about SH had to have a certain firmware in the 2411T to work with an ISY994i. This maybe old now but the UDI wiki says. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Linking_an_IRLinc_Transmitter UDI may have added information on adding a 2411T to your ISY994i system.
  17. Another module that may assist you is an ELK 9200. It has a heavy duty 30 amp relay in it and can control a 220 volt load. Has a 120 volt coil and a standard AC cord on it. Controlled by an Insteon On/Off plug in module or another protocol like the old X10 Appliance Module. https://www.elkproducts.com/product-catalog/elk-9200-heavy-duty-relay-contactor Smarthome and other vendors do carry them. https://www.smarthome.com/elk-heavy-duty-relay-contactor-in-a-lockable-metal-structured-wiring-panel-enclosure.html The product you linked to. Looks interesting. Not much data on if it has relays in it or some AC Solid State Relays.
  18. I know it was designed and I believe a few engineering prototype modules where made for testing. Then Smartlabs did a reverse on a commitment to provide the firmware for the Main and RF controller chips. With out the needed firmware the project could not proceed.
  19. I am not willing to go to a V5 Beta. I had a terrible experience with one of the V5 Betas though not the presently available one. I hosed the SD Card in my ISY994i. The only fix was remove it, reformat it in a PC and start fresh.

    Keypadlinc repair?

As far as I have seen. Smarthome does not have a repair service except for their failing HUBs. If less than the two year warranty. You can get a warranty replacement. I have not seen any third party repair facilities mentioned anywhere.

    Is my PLM done

An empty Link Table is one of the signs of a failing PLM. Try the restore as mentioned. If it works for a short time and then looses the links again. The PLM is on its way out. Two years and a few months of use is a typical time before starting to go bad. There is a very long thread here on the subject and how some of us have rebuilt ours. https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/13866-repair-of-2413s-plm-when-the-power-supply-fails/

    Is my PLM done

If you go into the Tools, Diagnostics , PLM Info/Status. What does it say? Should show the six digit ID of the PLM and connected. See how many links are in the PLM with the Show PLM Link Table choice. Try powering down the PLM and ISY994i. Then power back up the PLM and let it initialize. Then the ISY994i so it can find the PLM at stratus. Normally the only light on the front is the power On LED and the RX and TX LEDs will flash when the ISY994i is sending and receiving messages through the PLM.
  23. Probably hard to find now. At onetime you could buy a Black Trim kit to change the paddle and trim to black on a SwitchLinc with a different color from the factory.
  24. The 2475D is an older power line only module. The 2475DA1 is Dual Band. The new one may not be a close enough electrically to use the replace with function.
  25. I would also recommend trying a new power supply. Those symptoms do sound like a failing Wall Wart Power Supply. I believe there was one or two others having supply problems here.
