  1. The PLM is also 60 cycles only. So if you are on 240VAC 50 Cycles. It would not work on both counts. You may also be in a country where the Insteon RF frequency of 915 MHz would not be correct for your countries allowed RF frequency.
  2. The Leviton filter is a good filter. As long as the current through it is 5 amps or less. Since they have been discontinued for a fairly long time now. You may have a treasure on your hands.
  3. Click on the device you want to delete. Then pick the Delete choice. If it is in a folder you may have to move it to the main ISY list first. As I have not deleted from a folder yet. As pointed out it should be removed from the ISY994i and all links in the PLM should be marked as not used.
  4. It is possible the PLM maybe starting to fail. Over two years old was one factor. Some indications. Where PLM Link table almost empty and a PLM restore would correct it for awhile. LED on the side off or dimmer than you remembered. Cycling the power would correct operations for awhile. There is a very long thread here on symptoms and how some of us repaired ours. https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/13866-repair-of-2413s-plm-when-the-power-supply-fails/ The V2.5 2413S is what is being sold last time I checked. I know it has an improved power supply and serial port daughter board.
  5. It is in the 5.0.16C firmware. I don't have any in use. So I can't say how well it is supported.
  6. It does look more and more like you have a serial interface problem with the ISY994i.
  7. Since you tried different cables between the PLM and ISY994i. The contacts in the serial RJ45 connector look good. The PLMs you have worked fine with other software using a PLM. Your ISY994i may have a serial port issue. I am not too sure what you can see if you try to look at the serial signals from the ISY994i. I never tried. the ISY994i signals just the PLM with some PLM Test programs. UDI is very responsive to problems from users. You may want to open a Support Ticket. https://www.universal-devices.com/contact-us Submit a Ticket choice.
  8. Some Insteon modules have Local Control Sensing. Where you can have a lamp plugged into it and if the module is off. Cycling the lamps local switch from on to off and back on. Will turn the module on with out an Insteon command to turn it on. Some loads like LEDs can falsely trigger them back on. Most present modules should default to ignore but you may want to look at the full manual and see how to disable it if enabled. I believe the modules listing in the administrative console. May have an options tab where it maybe controlled.
  9. A smart display. Would have more functions. Like a clock display or electronic control messaging signals and only a single pair of wires between the opener and the controls. Both the power and control information is using the same pair of wires. When you put something like a I/OLinc's relay or a simple push button switch on it. It shorts out the power to the console when activated and resets the console display. What you did in your modification was simulate pushing the control electronics push button to operate the opener and not directly short the power and control signals. Killing the remotes power and probably it did a cold reset.
  10. I agree you should not have to do a reset on it periodically. Mine only gets reset if there is a long power outage and the UPS it is connected to powers down. If I do a firmware update or restore from a backup function. They do a reset as part of the procedure.
  11. My latest 2413S PLM has one large sticker. Insteon six digit ID, model number, revision number and date code . Not sure when they went from two to one large sticker.
  12. Thank you for the clarification. I was not aware of that HA had a way to interface with an ISY994i.
  13. I may have missed something. Are you using an ISY994i and HA maybe to control it or HA and ISY994i both are accessing the PLM?
  14. Older 2412S/U power line only or 2413S/U Dual Band PLM? The 2413S/U has had a bad reputation for its power supplies getting flaky. Causing all kinds of issues. If your is over two years old that could be an issue. The white date code sticker on the back may give you a clue to its age and hardware revision. The latest V2.5 seems to have had improvements in its supplies and has not been in use long enough to have a reliability history.
  15. I don't believe it is a possible option. As I have never seen a reference to a users only log in.
  16. Not sure on the suffix difference on the UI. The latest is 5.0.16C and on mine both are listed as 5.0.16C
  17. Found these. Not sure if any of it would be of help. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#MAC_OSX https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#Java_applications_are_blocked_by_your_security_settings
  18. I would still contact UDI. They have the greatest support I have seen in a long time. They maybe able to diagnose the issue remotely or give you a answer here. Do you know what ISY994i firmware you are using and if the UI matches the firmware revision? Are you using the ISY Finder? You may also want to see what they have in the UDI Wiki. I am sure issues like yours have some answers there also. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page I have seen some information of adding the ISY994i to a Java exceptions page but don't have any exact information.
  19. The power On LED is driven directly from the power supply. If some of the other functions seem to act and work correctly. You may have a power LED hardware issue. I would contact UDI and start a Trouble Ticket. https://www.universal-devices.com/contact-us Where there any OS or Java updates done, that may have changed things?
  20. My assortment of UDI power supplies. ISY26,ISY99i and two ISY994i controllers. Where 5 volt either 1amp or 500mA. Sounds like you found a good 5 volt replacement. I would imagine they would be fine.
  21. I had a similar thing happen to me. In my case there was an added clue. The Power On LED on the supply was pulsing. The ISY994i has a range of voltages it can use. Right now if you get a replacement supply directly from UDI. It is a 12 Volt 1 Amp wall wart.
  22. Glad you got it working.
  23. When mine went bad. It had the same LED on the supply flashing you are seeing.
  24. Did you use the special process to install the wanted firmware version before trying a restore. As it would not put the firmware on the SD card first? https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/29346-cannot-restore-to-new-sd-card/
  25. Thanks for the clarification on not being the same or similar. I ran into this when I tried the new Dual Band On/Off modules for the older 2456S3 ApplianceLincs.
