  1. Maybe the original was discontinued. Smarthome does list a external power supply for the 2441ZTH and it looks different than the one I remember. http://www.smarthome.com/5v-dc-power-supply-insteon-wireless-thermostat.html
  2. The Insteon Wireless Thermostat is not connected to the HVAC wiring. It uses Insteon RF linked to another Insteon Module. It is 2 AA Cell battery operated or there is an optional 5 volt DC wall wart made for it. HVAC control voltages are normally 24 Volts AC and not for the wireless thermostat power requirements.
  3. 2413S PLM Hardware 2.3, Date Code:4216, Firmware 9E C3 6.8uF/250V Can't see brand. C11 100uF/25V Fujucon C8 10uF/16V Fujicon C7 and C13. Now 100uF/50V Fujicon capacitor. { My Hardware V2.1 has 100uF/35V } Mounted parallel to the PCB with leads bent 90 degrees. Fastened with component glue so they don't move with normal everyday use. Physically too large to fit in PCB Pads location vertically. I had seen vague reports of the serial chip on the daughter board having issues. Not sure if the brand was changed or normal production parts availability change. It is now a TI brand MAX232EI. { My hardware 2.1 has a ST232 }. The TI MAX232EI meets the IEC61000-4-2 ESD Protection Standards on the RS232 I/O Pins to the outside world.
  4. I just received a Hardware: 2.3, Date Code: 4216, Firmware: 9E, PLM for a new project. Will try and give it a look in the near future.
  5. Not surprised about the same life expectancy. Most of the Smartenit modules are built on the same base 2413 PLM board. With the same power supply issues. The 2450 I/O Linc has a different board in it but uses the same small switching supply IC and questionable filter capacitors. I have seen three different sized capacitors in one capacitor location, between early and later hardware versions. Though over kill the EZIO8SA has eight heavy duty relays in it but also needs its own PLM to function.
  6. Smartenit also makes a 4 relay output module. I originally thought might work but it has a small current capacity relay of .5Amp. So it may not be suitable. http://smartenit.com/product/iot4r/
  7. I believe the EZflora has triac outputs. So AC only. Also only one output goes on at a time.
  8. Michel; Unfortunately I am not surprised by your statement on the Motion Sensor II Developers Notes. I saw a active developer on the Smarthome Forums. Also looking for the Motion Sensor II Developers Notes. Indicating his contact keep promising to sent them. Every week nothing was sent.
  9. The fix is in the power supply and not in the RF section. Though it maybe possible something in the RF area of the PCB got physically damaged during the power supply fix. I busted a PCB run in one of my repairs. In the power supply area and had to use a piece of wire wrap wire to bridge my problem. I do know that my Hardware 2.1 Firmware 9E PLM has RF issues with the old 2440 RemoteLinc's. It doesn't seem to process the RF communications between them properly. They have to use a different Dual Band Module to be process the RF and then use the power line back to the PLM. So it is also possible your problem one never worked 100%.
  10. You may want to look at this thread. http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/19331-my-plm-died-and-i-bought-a-new-one-what-should-i-do-next/?hl=%2Breplace+%2Bplm I have no ZWave devices so I can't comment on how to handle them. If you have a Pro version you can turn Off Automatic Writes to Battery devices. Then write to then one at a time so only one is wake so writes can be done to it.
  11. There is a fairly long thread here on when it will be supported. http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/21225-isy994i-2844-222-motion-and-fw/ The Alert Module and Siren Module are also not presently supported in 4.5.x firmware. They too are going to be included in a 5.0.x version. When it goes from Alpha to Beta or Released. I may then try it out.
  12. Top of the review tab that Teken provided a link to. Now it does not address what part or parts they changed. I suspect power supply but it could be something else.
  13. I see in the 2413S Reviews Tab. Smarthome's reply to failures. Indicates that they have identified a component failing in any revision below 2.3 and that as of January 2017 revision 2.3 should have the revised component or components in it. They also tried to gloss over the failures as only in some situations.
  14. Glad you found the problem. My eyes are not what they use to be either. My large magnifying glass gets more use everyday Those 5 volt regulators can usually take a beating. I believe they have a shorted output shut down to a safe level built in.
  15. Look at post #282 of this thread. There is a schematic of the power supply portion of the PLM in that message. I would double check for things like small solder bridges or a broken PCB run. I damaged a run in one of my repairs. By tearing out a plated through hole and small piece of the run attached to it.
  16. Insure that you don't do a short cycle. Where the time period between the Off and the next On is short. Could be damaged by a short cycle. Almost all of the permanently installed HVAC units have a 5 minute time out between calling for a Cooling cycle. I know my portable room air conditioner use the have restarting issues if the power cycled Off and back On in a short time period.
  17. All about the same age would not explain the problem. Some users have different age modules with different firmware. Some versions of firmware can have issues doing some functions.
  18. Are all the KeypadLincs the same hardware and firmware revision? If they are brand new. Did you factory reset then first? As we sometimes see test links in factory new modules. Not removed before the factory shipped them. Many here have learned to always do a factory reset on any new modules we purchased.
  19. I am glad to see you are back in business. Sorry I was not more specific in my power reset post. Teken nailed it.
  20. Did you try a power cycle reset on the devices? On the off chance they powered back up in a confused state.
  21. Have you tried opening a UDI Support ticket? UDI is very responsive. You can reference this thread in the Support Ticket. http://www.universal-devices.com/contact-support/
  22. There is a Firefox V52 esr version. That still supports the npapi Java Plug In. I found it while searching the Firefox help web pages. I probably will not use it. As I have no big issues so far.
  23. Have you had a chance to read the WIKI information on the Error and Memory LEDs flashing? Even if the PLM was dead. It should not be flashing the Error and Memory LED's. When my PLM failed. The only thing that happened was the system went into Safe Mode. No network issues happened. You even tried two ISY994i controllers with the same problem. Pointing to a network issue. You have something bad in your network. The two LEDs in the Network Jack of the iSY994i. Are they On and if there is network activity one maybe blinking? By chance did this happen when you had to change your internet modem and is it also your router?
  24. If the Error and Memory LEDs flashing it is a network problem. From the UDI WIKI. http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#Front_Panel_LEDs.2FLights
  25. Is the 2441ZTH running on an optional DC wall wart or battery? On battery it is in power saving mode and a Query will not work unless woken up. Though it should send temperature changes when detected. Not sure how much of a temperature change is needed for it to send an update.
