New Motion Sensor Info
I don't think many users have the new Motion Sensor II except a few Beta Testers. Data may not be available yet from end users. That maybe under a Beta NDA.

SignaLinc Phase coupler working?
Smarthome does like to keep the names the same and it can be confusing. The SignaLinc RF was the older active electronics phase coupler and RF receiver, transmitter. Though for present Dual Band devices will not work. As it was on 904MHz not the present 915MHz. The plain SignaLinc is now the passive coupler. SwitchLinc, ApplianceLinc, KeypadLinc and LampLinc come to mind, was used for both X10 only and the Insteon line of devices.

SignaLinc Phase coupler working?
The passive SignaLinc has no test button as you have noted. Test the Dual Band devices in the system. With the four tap tests also called Beacon or Communications tests in some Insteon Manuals. If the SignaLinc is on its own dual breaker. You could even turn it on and off to see what changes to verify some coupling. Since it is passive. The signal and noise on one phase is what is coupled to the other phase. If the original transmission has degrades to .5 volts and .1 volts noise. Only the .5 volt signal and .1 volt noise is coupled to the other phase.

SignaLinc Phase coupler working?
I have seen reports of CFL bulbs starting to make noise when they get older. Same for the power supplies in other devices starting to make noise as they get older. If you disconnect the wireless phone and remove the CFL bulb does anything change?

Wireless thermostat 2441ZTH
There is a thread here on how the external probe was connected where the original internal probe is normally connected. So the external probe information is sent to the ISY controller. http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/9152-how-to-monitor-water-temp-via-isy-and-catch-more-fish/?hl=2441zth

How to add relays to ISY
I went to the manufacturers web site. After looking at the Ebay sale information and comparing to their web site. It looks like this is the interface board. http://www.sainsmart.com/relay-1/sainsmart-network-web-server-16-channels-relay-ethernet-controller-module-remote-control-board-lan-wan-web-server-rj45-port-control-under-wifi-connected-network.html This is the kit with interface board and relay board. http://www.sainsmart.com/sainsmart-ethernet-control-module-lan-wan-web-server-rj45-16-chs-relay.html The network commands are shown on the pages.

Dead Motion Sensor....
The Motion Sensors have jumped between "In Stock Ship Today" and "Not Available" for the last few weeks. A post here indicated that Amazon may still have some. There is a completely different Insteon Motion Sensor (2844-222) in the FCC Database. Smarthome rarely gives advanced notice of new products being released. Until they are available, are taking preorders or announcing them at a show.. So we can only guess to when they may replace the older model with the newer model. There is a thread here on the new 2844-222 Insteon Motion Sensor. http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/20029-motion-sensor-ii-2844-222-coming-soon/

Samsung is bringing an Echo-compatible vacuum to CES
I thought some model washers from Samsung where flying apart. During the spin cycle. Due to the way the tub was mounted on springs hanging from an open slot.

Use Insteon hub as power line interface
The older 2242-222 HUB normally had a network board in it. Mine has a shielded network board in it. I understand some of them had the network board replaced with a PLM Serial Board. For some testing. I have a internal photo of one of the converted ones. I believe there are also some overseas vendors doing the modification to the original HUB. For use as a PLM on other countries power standards. The newer 2245-222 has a completely different PCB. All functions on one square PCB.

Use Insteon hub as power line interface
I did see a 2245-222 HUB failure. On a less than two year old module. Posted today on the Smarthome Forums.

Some Echo commands not workin.
After I posted the link. I had a feeling it may have been a setup. As dad jumped in awfully quickly.

Iolinc to run hvac booster fan
Is the thermostat battery operated? You maybe able to connect the W and R/RC terminals to the IOLinc Sensor and Ground connections. This would require the old control voltages are no longer on the thermostat.

2441ZTH No Temperature Display on Console
That is a strange one. The manual indicates both the battery and external supply can be connected at the same time. What voltage was the external supply?

Alexia also sometimes makes a poor choice. I found this about a child asking to "play Digger Digger" and getting porn results. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/amazon-alexa-gets-childs-request-really-wrong-offers-up-porn-2016-12-30

ISY lost controll of all devices.
Anything new electronically recently in the home. Existing electronic devices moved? That may have effected your power line communications? If you have your PLM on the same power as your computing equipment, on an UPS, filtered surge strip. That can effect the Insteon power line communications.

Insteon Siren?
I am not going to try a 5.x Alpha version yet. I have had no issues with the Beta releases. I just feel Alpha is too new for a try out yet. I tried both an Alert Module and Siren Module with a few devices. Both will NOT link to the original 2440 Remotelinc. Both will link to a 2342-232 Mini Remote, a KPL dimmer in a tabletop case and a 2421 TriggerLinc. I am using the Mini Remote to test them. I have one powered up for some burn in time and then I will rotate a different one if for awhile so it also gets some burn in time. One button set arms and disarms it. One On button triggers the Chime. One On button triggers the Siren. I also tested the not well documented controller function in the Siren Module. If you link it to a Lamplinc, Dual Band Lamplinc, Appliancelinc or On/Off module. As a controller. When the Siren is sounding it will flash the module linked to it as a controller. The Alert Module is also supposed to have a controller function. I have not tested it thoroughly.

Insteon Siren?
UDI has stated in a few threads. Both the now discontinued Alert Module and the new replacement Siren Module. Will not be added to any 4.x versions. Not wanting to possibly add issues to a stable base 4.x. Both will be in a 5.x version. I too am anxious to get the Alert Module and Siren Modules into my ISY994i setup. Due to Smartlabs dragging their feet for many months, on getting UDI the needed API for the Alert Module. I personally put the problem on them not UDI. I do understand UDI not wanting to mess up a 4.x release. My Alert Module is over one year old and still can only be used with manual links. The ISY994i doesn't see.

Repair of 2413S PLM When the Power Supply Fails
I also have not seen any reports yet. If good quality name brand, low ESR capacitors where used. I would expect them to run much longer. Over the questionable brand Smartlabs used in the PLM. Where they failed. Making the power supply die. If the repair was not done well. With poor soldering, overheating PCB runs, solder shorts during capacitor replacement. Then I could see some early failures or the repair failed completely. If other parts where stressed due to the failing power supply. I could see some short time failures with the replacement capacitors.

Repair of 2413S PLM When the Power Supply Fails
Unless this upgraded capacitor brand is very recent. My V2.1 has the same questionable brand capacitors as my old V1.5. Just went from 10uF to 100uf for C7 and C13. Recently we have also seen a few reports of new 2413S PLMs failing in a few months.

Problems with my ISY994i - Stopped Communicating
Leaving the Automatic Writes to battery devices off and then manually doing each one. Is what is recommended and used by most here.
-
ISY lost controll of all devices.
Is the LED on the side of the 2413S PLM On? In the Tools Diagnostics Tab: PLM Info/Status does it show connected or in safe mode? How many links does the Show PLM Links Table Show? The PLM seems to be the weak spot in an ISY setup and it is possible it is failing.

15A and 20A Insteon Filters
I understand Phil retired, when the ACT line was discontinued. I have read what was left was dumped on EBay.

EZIO8SA setup
Yes the utility needs its own interface. A separate PLM is one of the interfaces it can use. Not 100% sure but I believe some have powered down their ISY994i and used its PLM for the utility.
-
EZIO8SA setup
Some new factory fresh Insteon modules. Have been known to ship with test links in them. Most users now automatically do a Factory Reset on all new modules. The EZIO8SA has to be on its own PLM. You can't access it if there is no PLM connected to it when running the utility program or from the Administrative Console.

EZIO8SA setup
Have you tried a complete Factory Reset? That would clear out any left over X10 codes if any existed.
