  1. Small incandescent light bulb will also work. 33000 {33K} resistor should be fine. The wattage at the 120 volts when On is .43 watts. So a .5 Watt would work. I prefer a safety margin and say a 1 watt is best. Though I know many users with the .5 watt one and no issues. On the X10 forums. We frequently use 33K to 47K values. I tried a single 35 LED light string, Hardware 4.1 2456S3 ApplianceLinc and a 56K resistor. It kept the LEDs Off.
  2. Well I got an email this morning. Shipped yesterday. Now that I think of it. Maybe the use of PayPal to pay for the order. Added processing time.
  3. Ad-Aware has been reported as a problem. Along with a few other antivirus programs. I have to add the IP address of my ISY994i to the trusted list in Zone Alarm. You may find some added information in this section of the forums. http://forum.universal-devices.com/forum/4-router-firewall-and-anti-virus-issues/
  4. No the ISY26 will not control later Insteon modules. Not sure if the I2 ones are supported. I2CS no. The Newer ISY99i can control more but it also can't do the latest. So the iSY994i is needed for the latest Insteon Modules.
  5. Two phase couplers in the same breaker panel or two different ones? It is possible the passive phase coupler is now passing noise on one line back into the other line. With all those Access Points. Have you done some communications tests with them, using the four tap method? If any of the 2443 Access Points are hardware 2.0 and above. Try disconnecting one at a time and see if things get better. The 2.0 and above use the same base circuit board as in the 2413S with the power supply issues. If the LED on the side is dim or out, communications tests act real strange that is another clue on a failing power supply. If power cycling an Access Point also improves communications. The supply is flaky or the module was locked up. Two of my Access Points made communications worse because it had a failing power supply. Same PLM fix works for a hardware 2.0 and above Access Points.
  6. The 2413S PLM was on the excluded from the sale list. Not sure if they had a great sale volume or didn't have enough seasonal staff. My first thought is. Lack of seasonal staff. Why cut into the profit margins. My order from last Sunday was still listed as "Processing" this morning. On items the sales page said In Stock will ship today. Though who knows if they did have any of the refurbished On-Off modules they said they have.
  7. Sudden changes as pointed out. Can be something deteriorating, new device or even a device moved to a new location. Like moved a cell phone charger to a more convenient location.
  8. Wired in or plug in? Plug in could be a Smarthome FilterLinc if the load is ten or less amps. It also has a pass through outlet on the front. I have my UPS using one. The PLM is in the unfiltered front outlet and the UPS in the bottom filtered one. The ACT AF120 is a fifteen amp one. The X10Pro XPF is a large 20 amp wired in one. All three I mentioned do X10 or Insteon noise. As both are close in power line signal frequency.
  9. One common place to look is the PLM connected to the same circuit with computing equipment or an UPS. Both can absorb Insteon power line signals or put noise on the power lines.
  10. Problem I have seen with Honeywell data sheets they cover many models on the sheet. I did see a set of optional red wires on page 3 for the 8184G diagram. I believe the 1286 could be some factory information. As I have seen the ending numbers change with the same model thermostats I purchased. R4184D,R8184Install1.pdf
  11. You may want to check and see if there are two Red Wires out of the present control. I found the installation sheet and it does show a isolated dry contact to trigger an alarm when in safety. On some of the 4184G units.
  12. I am extremely surprised you have not gotten any trouble ticket responses. I saw a few responses in your Slow question back in 03/25/15.
  13. The 20% sale is from 11/25/15 through 12/01/15. So cyber Monday was covered. I get daily email reminders of how many days are left. Got a new email tonight. Now the title was changed to Cyber Monday 20% Off sale. Closer to 12/25/15 may see an additional sale or two.
  14. That maybe a tough thing to do. Normally the Orange wire turns On and Off L1 the Hot 120 volts. To the Burner motor and ignition. When the Thermostat, aquastat or zone relay called for heat. When the red button is tripped. Maybe by a flame detector sensing a flame out. The orange wire never gets a 120 volt power feed. I don't see where a missing voltage could be detected. As when the burner is off or red button is popped. The 120 volts is not on orange wire. If the controller had a alarm relay contact. Like my burner has. It could trip an I/OLInc Sensor Input.
  15. The Schlage web site says it is a Z-Wave device. You would probably need the Z-Wave model ISY994i or install the added Z-Wave board. http://consumer.schlage.com/products/pages/productdetails.aspx?ModelNumber=BE469NX%20CEN%20626
  16. My 2457D2 Lamplinc is also a Red Listing. It is not a controller for any other module. So it is showing no modules it controls.
  17. Your last PLM was a hardware 2.0 or above, that failed? That is not a good thing to read about.
  18. Just checked the exclusions. 2413S PLM is not included.
  19. If it is the older 2412S. The 2413S has a faster controller and memory. Now that the 2413S hardware above 2.0 has the improved power supply. It should be more reliable.
  20. The ISY99i to ISY994i Upgrade is on the Universal Devices Sales web page. https://www.universal-devices.com/sales/

    ISY994iZW

This maybe the older ISY99i information but it can be found on a UDI Wiki page. http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Frequently_Asked_Questions#Hardware
  22. I got a post card last Saturday. With the 20% sale information and a scan code on it for smart phones to read.
  23. I have also seen Insteon pricing going up or less product in a kit. Lots of users like the light pipe color changing kits. Single color ones where being sold. Now you only get two of the right colored ones in the assortment and the other six are useless. I also have seen the sneaky prices retail prices listed for reconditioned units be $10 more than a new one. Then the $15 off on the recon is actually $5. So $5 off on a recon with a 30 day warranty while a new one has two years. I also wait for sales and got a post card for a 20% off sale starting 11/25/15 X10 prices are also going up. Though the new owners of the X10 brand. Are updating the electronics in some of them and new devices are close. Like a Wi-Fi module and improved RF repeater.
  24. That capacitor is in the 5 volt supply and low ESR is not a big issue.. I used a General Purpose 105 degree C 10uf/16 volt 4mm X 7mm and it seems to be just fine. http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Nichicon/USV1C100MFD/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMtZ1n0r9vR22TfspN1CfqVcre90UL%2fPITI%3d If you want to go with a low impedance one. That I found after in a later search and could be a closer match to the original replacement one. 10uf/16V Low Impedance. 4mm X 5mm {shorter but same diameter} 105 degree C http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Nichicon/UMF1C100MDD/?qs=N9V26swqM1V5w%252b40bRFHyw%3d%3d
  25. I am not moving away from mine. I don't like the new RemoteLinc2's I actually saw they where being discontinued and bought a few spares from a dealer that had some from bulk packaging.
