The 2443-222 has a relay output and does not dim. It does have the 700 Watt/240 Volt rating. The 100 watt limit is for the 2442-222 dimmer model.

Your setup is two wire. R/RC and W Heat. Your old thermostat is a Honeywell {I recognize the back plate} and is battery operated only {No C terminal where the Not Used label is}? If you have the Honeywell Model number I can probably verify it was battery only. Most electronic thermostats need the C Common Power wire to run. Do you seen any extra wires in the cable not used right now. As there could be an unused wire you could add to the new thermostat. You will also have to look at the control end and see if there is an unconnected C terminal on the controls. On the control end. Are the wires connected to terminals labeled R and W or T and T? The 2441TH needs the C connection. It is labeled 24 COM in the 2441TH Quick Guide. R/RC would be the R connection and W would be W1 on the 2441TH The 10A fuse does not indicate the controls voltage. Most likely 24 volts AC.

If the CFL is Off. It should not be a issue. Many times the symptoms are I can turn it On but not Off.

The sales page for the Smoke Bridge shows five nodes. The developers notes for the Smoke Bridge show all seven. Maybe early units didn't support all of them. The magnetic switch is wired to the Sensor Input not to the relays NO or NC contacts. So a different magnetic switch would be the answer.

IMHO. It could be due to parts availability. A best judgment substitute was made for a part and it was not as good as expected. Smartlabs gives the Developers Group a shipping product list. Just found this. Simplehomenet sells a replacement cable for their EZIcomm PLM and it is listed as PLM compatible also. As it is built on the base PLM main board. What program or programs have you tried to connect to the PLM. Maybe the cable is OK and the programs accessing it have issues. Since the same serial cable was used with the 1132B Powerlinc, 2414S PLC, 2412S PLM and 2413S PLM. Those are the ones I remember anyway. You may find some end users with spare cables. As I have not seen any vendors selling them. Including Smarthome.

Do you still have the PLM's Box? There should be a Serial Cable packed inside the box. Many times hidden in the internal packing cradle. I just continuity tested one of the PLM serial cables Your chart matches my PLM quick guide and continuity tested fine. Plug your cable into the PLM end and observe the colors of the wires position. To verify they match the pin one on the left with the contacts up. Shown in the guides pin out chart.

I suspected a different daughter card. As RS485 was an optional choice and my gut said they just added the RS485 ICs connected where the TTL signals where.

When you worked on the light. Did any of the wires come out of the wire nuts? So that maybe Line or Neutral power is not actually getting to the dead SwitchLincs? Do you have a meter and can safely use one?

LeeG, Mostly curious. The EZICOMM with the base 2413 PLM electronics. Is it like the 2413S and does not provide DC power on the RJ45 connector or like the 2412S that did?

It is a low pass filter and the specification chart says 300Hz. So it would block X10 and Insteon power line frequency noise.

So a Factory Reset. Pull out set button and wait a few seconds. Push set button all the way in and holding it until the beeping stopped. Then releasing the set button. Didn't help.

Did you do a Factory Reset and then the Restore or just a Restore? Guess here. Power failure may have scrambled the link database.

I have not looked into the latest hardware 2413S so the latest daughter card maybe different now. There was a place to solder in a lead wire mounted micro fuse to the serial daughter card. I would also say do not try it. As LeeG said it may not have enough extra power to run the ISY994i. That now comes with a 1 amp power supply. When the daughter card was in the 2412S. It had a real power transformer in it to isolate the power connections from the 120 volts AC. The external unregulated output was fused at 400 Ma. The 2413S uses a power line driven switching supply and I am not sure how well the AC line is isolated from the DC side of the supply.
