Not all PLMs work with Houselinc. Early 2412S PLMs with firmware <70 seem to be not found in my tests and reports on the Smarthome Forums. They also are the ones with the small link database of 417 entries. Houselinc and the PLM you are using will add links in your devices not known by your ISY controller and its PLM. So it is possible to mess up your devices link databases. If memory serves me. Some Houselinc users factory reset their devices after using Houselinc and then restore them from their ISY controller. I found Houselinc will not automatically add my old I1 modules. It required me to use the set button after the automatic add failed. Probably because they are I1.

V.0D is the firmware version 0x0D.

You are not alone LeeG. I have seen many changes since I started using Insteon in late 2005. IMHO not all good for the end user or us Developers Group members. I have enough old Insteon Hardware to keep me going and dread having to mix older Insteon devices with the present modules. I always welcome your findings as you definitely know your Insteon hardware and software.

Is the Keypadlinc very old? A power reset with the Air Gap switch didn't help? Wiring is tight and the load is correct? No low voltage lights or CFLs? The flickering an pulsing LEDs look like its power supply has failed.

The On and Off buttons always control the load on the red wire. You can't seperate the On Off buttons from the load control.

From what I have read in the Garage Hawk section here. You probably would need the Remote Module anyway. Garage Hawk uses some added commands between their units and the remote module. Then it translates the commands to ones most controllers can understand. For the ISY controller to use the 19 commands directly. Would most likely add lots of code to the firmware

rlebel, Your PLM is a 2413S and not the older 2412S? Have you done a PLM link database count a few times to verify you have around 900 links? 900 is getting close to the maximum count it can hold.

Seriously doubt it. Probably uses a different signaling method and assigned RF frequency. Got a model number of the sensor or what alarm system it is normally used with?

Many power bars have added noise filters in them. They would filter out the Insteon power line signals as noise. Not all of them do this. A simple power bar with no filter or just some MOVs for spike removal would probably be fine. UPS and computer equipment can also make noise or have their AC input filters effect Insteon power line signals.

I always power up my PLM a few seconds before my ISY994i. To allow the PLM to fully initialize before the ISY994i tries to connect with it.

They do make a hard to find, dimmable CFL. That should work on a dimmer type OutletLinc. Though my tests of a few yielded very mixed results with a variety of dimmers. I would also stay with the relay style. That is On and Off.
