tibbar Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Hello. I've been using zwave with ISY for few months. Have to say that it is little frustrating. It should be still listed as ALPHA at best beta. One day I have one thermostat ,another day I have two. One day door locks show status for: deadbolt, alarm, battery level another day just deadbolt and battery level. I have one thermostat (Honyewell). three deadbolt locks (Yele)
Michel Kohanim Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Hi tibbar, Do you have anything else above and beyond the thermostat and door locks? Please note: 1. Door locks cannot route traffic 2. Communication with door locks requires a device to support beaming 3. If your thermostat does NOT support beaming, then I can pretty much tell you that what you are having now is excellent for your configuration 4. Some thermostats are battery operated and, even if they support beaming, they might turn it off if the thermostat is NOT powered by 24VAC. This is the case with CT100s (I am not sure about Honeywell thermostats) So, my recommendation: 1. Make sure you are on 4.2.18 (or above) 2. Make sure your thermostat supports beaming and it's not battery powered 3. I strongly recommend a range extender With kind regards, Michel
tibbar Posted February 12, 2015 Author Posted February 12, 2015 Hi Michel. 1. I'm on v.4.2.23 2. Not battery powered not sure about beaming. 3. I have 3 Evolve LOM-15 (supports beaming) outlets inside the house and 3 outside. I have 3 Leviton VRE06-1LZ Vizia RF + (supports beaming) dimmers inside on exterior walls. House is 960 sq ft single story so I do not think I need extenders.
Michel Kohanim Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Hi tibbar, If the problem is reproducible, please contact our support so that we can login and see what could be causing these issues. If you are using ISY's external antenna, I suggest reverting to internal and do a network heal. With kind regards, Michel
