eISY move from Zooz-700 to ZMATTER

I've already moved from Polisy to eISY  Its been running like a champ.

Now I'm ready to move from Zooz-700 dongle to ZMATTER dongle.  Is it nothing more than clicking the MIGRATE button? I'm relatively new to Z-Wave, I've removed all my old Insteon stuff (its in a box).

Is this ready and working yet?  Pointer to a doc where the steps are what I should be doing?

Thanks

@awysocki Might want to read some other posts on the forums before jumping too far into this.

This might help: https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/39795-iox-release-v553-is-now-available/

But there are lots of threads in the same area you posted that have discussed your question.

Ultimately the wiki (eisy User Guide) is also probably a good place to find information. It is still being worked on (best I can tell) to cover issues that have popped up along the way, but reading is always helpful.

Most of the topics talked about converting from ISY994 to Polisy or eISY which confused me.  I wasn't doing a conversion I was just upgrading my Zooz700 to the Matter.  It is as simple as just clicking the Migrate button and waiting and waiting till its done.

Thanks for the help :-)

I think this is what you want:

Yes I know but still no answer on when to move the node servers, but after thinking it over I now think that is makes no difference when. Anyway I already added my Polisy PG3 node servers to eisy PG3 in the same slots, so that is my answer to my question :-)

You would probably be better off asking someone who has all ready upgraded. I need to hold off because I will be away and want to make sure all is working.

But, I don't think you manually add your Node Servers to PG3 for eisy. I think you should be taking a PG3 backup before the migration and then restore your backup on PG3 for eisy.

If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.

  • It is still going through the migration but so far Zwave nodes show as not connected.
  • At least some of the node servers seem to be working.
  • Kasa devices seem to be working
  • Right now I can not log in to the eisy PG3

After all said and done, it was pretty easy. I did the migration of Polisy to eISY first, using the same zooz-700 let that run for a couple of weeks.  Then this week I did the migration from the zooz-700 to the MATTER usb stick, It was as simple as clicking the Migrate button and READING THE PROMPTS.  One is a negative question, where you have to select NO but, I went slow read each page to understand it and it just worked.  It seems to have a better radio and switches that use to have issues connecting now connect and work perfectly.   Thanks Michael and UD!  I'm hoping to forget about my eISY and just live with my connected home, because it just works.

I too will be migrating 2 locations from Insteon to Z-Wave devices, such as Scene Switches, Wireless Fan Controls and miscellaneous switchless lights while most everything else is Kasa TP-Link products like Light Switches, Power Bars, Color Energy Light and Outlets (also a HUE for outdoor lights). So this will be an interesting read. Just a bit disappointed this is not made into documentation post release. So I'm going to handle it like a HP Beta Printer. I'll mess with it till "they" get it right before I approve it for production.

I can imagine, it's going to be pretty straight forward. But then again I wasn't expecting to have a non-functional unit right out of the box either.

I have two of these ZOOZ Z-WAVE PLUS 700 SERIES REMOTE SWITCH ZEN34 (BATTERY POWERED) devices.

They worked well in Polisy and generated Scene nodes that were easy to use. After migration there are no Scene nodes only :

ZY XXX Basic Control

ZY XXX Wall Controller

ZY XXX  Wake Up

I did a synchronize with interview but that did not change anything.

In Zwave X-Ray I see that there are Scene links but I dont understand why there were Scene nodes in Polisy and not in eisy.

I read on the Zooz website that this switch can also be used with Direct Association and I believe that the new ISY firmware and/or  ZMatter board allow for DA. I just don't know how to try this out.
