hum099 Posted January 7 Posted January 7 ISY Portal Says devices not available. I can login into the ISY unit and all devices are there and I can control them. Any Ideas. I noticed when I asked Alexa to turn on a light and it said hub is not available. Quote
bmercier Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Currently investigating. Some units are having trouble with Portal. Quote
palayman Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Me too! I checked the ISY portal and it was there but when I tried web access it said "error, Loading: /config/" Then I rebooted the ISY. It still is available in my local network, but it doesn't appear on the ISY portal. Paul Quote
Mr B Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) I had the same issue with both Alexa and Google Home. Rebooting seems to have fixed it unless it was coincidental with a fix on UDs side. Check that: 45 minutes later neither Alexa nor Google Home is working again. Same issue. Edited January 7 by Mr B Update Quote
gviliunas Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) For me, the portal appears to be there but when I check the Amazon devices, I see a list of my Amazon Echo Devices with an "HTTP error 500" pop-up message on top. The reboot completed and all is working again. Thanks @bmercier Edited January 7 by gviliunas Quote
larryllix Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) I had to use the UD mobile app to enable the Portal connection again. The mobile app now contains enables that defaulted to disabled. https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/44358-geographic-location-restrictions/#comment-388687 Edited January 7 by larryllix Quote

dantoronto Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I have rebooted. Not fixed. I can log into the admin console and the devices do respond. I log into the UD Mobile app, Get an error message "Requested ISY not online". In my notifications I get eisy xxxx Notification. Node Server Free Edition Startup. Please upgrade to Standard version to get all features. All my Plugins seem to be Connected. Quote
paulbates Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) Around 7am et my Alexa said she couldn't reach the hub, something like that. UDM said it couldn't connect. Rebooted eisy. I think that's a first for me, having to reboot my ISY to get it to respond. But everything else appeared to be working locally Everything works now Edited January 7 by paulbates Quote
tmorse305 Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) Rebooting solved the issue for me Update: Stopped working again, Error 500 on portal Edited January 7 by tmorse305 Quote

hum099 Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 When i go to the portal it says ISY is not online Quote
gfrancis0 Posted January 7 Posted January 7 This is VERY disappointing. Second time in a week the ISY portal login system has gone down for an extended period of time, the last time was New Year's Eve for about 6 hours or so until you corrected the issue on your end. This is not supposed to be amateur hour here, people DEPEND on your service being available 99.9999% of the time. You need to IMMEDIATELY develop an automated system to notify your administrators THE SECOND this happens and enable them to fix it within MINUTES, 24x7. We rely on you to keep our homes and businesses functioning 24x7, please provide the appropriate level of service for your users. I would actually PREFER not having to rely on your servers at all to login to my local EISY device while at home on my handheld or my Alexa. If you prefer to implement a solution that directly logs in just using my local network that would get my vote. The current reliability issues prove why that would be a superior implementation for the local apps and Alexa integration. 1 Quote
Guy Lavoie Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Interesting. Could this in any way have affected UD Mobile in local mode? Earlier this morning UD Mobile wouldn't connect, and give me a "no proxies available" message. To get to connect I had to go into settings and re-enter my admin password, or so I thought. Coincidence or related? My question is: does UD Mobile need to be able to see anything external even if used in local mode? Quote

That's ~30 seconds of total downtime a YEAR on a product that costs $24. The reality is we don't experience that much downtime, most of it planned and announced. Let's let the team fix and they'll let us know. 3 Quote
JohnH Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Had this issue as well. Alexa could not reach devices. After two reboots, it began working again. Quote
K-bert Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I had the "no proxies available" in my UD Mobile this morning before leaving for work. I didn't do anything to fix the problem. When I arrived at work I logged onto my home computer remotely and opened the admin console. Everything looked fine there. I checked the mobile app again and it was all good. I did nothing to actively try and fix it. Quote
