bob123 Posted Saturday at 08:16 PM Posted Saturday at 08:16 PM Thanks - I submitted the ticket. This controls my house, so not happy. Quote

My humidity test is rather complex as it uses forecast temperatures and internal humidity levels to dry out the house if needed for extreme cold temperatures to avoid window fogging/freezing. Welcome to Canada! @mmb - In Canada as well, but I need the humidity higher in the house, so I have little 4"dia computer fans sitting on the window sill blowing across the bottom of the window (good for about a 2-foot-wide window) which are actuated automatically when the outside temp drops below -2'C. I've had these for ~4 years now and even into the -20'C's I still have no moisture on any window sills. Some people love this solution, but some also hate it. But it works very well as you do not need much air movement to evaporate the moisture before it ever makes it to the bottom. 1 Quote

Issue solved so far... @pjjameso - I had the (nearly) same issue with several programs when I transitioned my ISY to my Polisy. Quote

Started around 4:30 p... didn't seem to reboot or anything but the AC went offline, I then saw UID of 00:00:00:00:00:01 and I could connect but not control any Insteon. Still showed 5.8.4. I decided to ssh and rebooted after over an hour waiting. Then after UID was correct and still on 5.8.4, I did another update packages in AC and this time it had a more detailed dialog that was updating to version 14.xxx whatever it said can't remember. Then it updated correctly maybe 20 min. But had me very concerned for hour there. I've been attempting to upgrade one of my Polisy units - the one not in active service - for a few hours now. I'm not making any progress, but I'm seeing similar symptoms described above. I've clicked the upgrade packages button, rebooted, power cycled, etc. I don't know how many times. It sometimes comes back with that bogus UUID but never gives me a message in the upgrade that it's going to install 14. anything - just a generic message about 4 beeps. No beeps, no flashing LEDs, and the AC does not subsequently disconnect. I guess it's ticket time, unless someone has advice for me. -Tom Quote
xlurkr Posted Saturday at 11:54 PM Posted Saturday at 11:54 PM I should add that I pulled this unit out of storage, and it was on 13.1. It "upgraded" to 13.2, or so it said, with beeps and LEDs and all, and then the next time I pushed the upgrade packages button, it said it was going to upgrade from 13001 to 13002. I thought that was odd, but went ahead with it anyway. It currently says it's at 13.1 - still. -Tom Quote
Techman Posted Sunday at 01:11 AM Posted Sunday at 01:11 AM @oamber Clear your java cache, be sure to check all 3 boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp Also take a look at this article Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki 1 Quote
oamber Posted Sunday at 01:20 AM Posted Sunday at 01:20 AM downloaded and ran the fresh copy and got this: Great, but not showing my unit. Tried Add and used the info from my current login, except using the url assigned to the EISY after the upgrade: https://192.168.0.9:8443/desc Nothing, response "not found". Im still optimistic though! Quote

This morning, after letting it sit overnight doing an "upgrade" (no beeps, no AC disconnect, no flashing LEDs) I checked the status. Still 13.1. I rebooted, and when it came back I launched yet another upgrade attempt. This time, it worked. Beeped, AC disconnect, and LEDs started flashing. About 30 minutes later, it was done. 14.1. Why? I dunno. I've sincerely lost track of how many upgrade attempts, reboots, and power cycles I did. I'm left with the conclusion that with a Polisy, you may need to let it sit for a while, then reboot. Again. And again. Until you succeed. -Tom 1 Quote

Don't get too impatient. Even on Android, the only matter capability appears to be cosmetic: menu items that now make mention of matter. I have yet to be able to actually "add matter devices". Neither have I seen any indication here that anyone else has been successful. Hopefully, I am just missing something. Quote
SSS Posted Monday at 04:55 PM Posted Monday at 04:55 PM I hope we can have a formal statement from UD on what is supported and ETA for the rest ? Quote

kzboray Posted Monday at 06:09 PM Posted Monday at 06:09 PM (edited) Here is my experience with Polisy. Disclaimer: The first of three units was bricked by the attempted upgrade and required extensive intervention to recover. Upon clicking Upgrade from AC the first Polisy beeped once as if doing a normal reboot and the front panel lights started flashing, again as expected. But they only flashed for less than a minute, then the unit rebooted. It was not visible in AC, so I waited 30 minutes before contacting Michel to ask if I should power cycle the unit. Michel suggested a few things to try, but the unit was bricked. At this point, I pulled the SSD and used Rufus to install a new image supplied by Michel. My Polisy came back up, but it was running 5.5.4. Back into AC and Upgrade again. No matter how many times I tried @xlurkr, it wouldn't perform an upgrade. The UUID had also changed to all zeros. This was expected, and Michel had supplied me with a fix that unfortunately didn't work at this stage of the recovery. I then performed another imaging using Rufus and tried again, with the same results. I finally used the one button press upgrade option and that worked. The Polisy upgraded to 14.1 and AC 5.9.1 and the UUID corrected itself. This actually has to do with mosquitto being loaded. If it's not, then the UUID will show as 00:00:00:00:00:01 Thanks to good backups, I was then able to recover fully, with the exception of losing my LifX config file which I had to create from scratch because I didn't have a backup. My bad. The second and third Polisy I upgraded went a lot faster. Both units started OS 13.2 AC 5.8.4. This time I run AC => upgrade and waited until the Polisy was visible in AC again. Unlike the first unit, they both after about 10 minutes showed up in AC again. They still showed AC 5.8.4 and OS 13.2 so then I pushed the front panel button ONE time and with both units all the front lights started flashing as they should during an upgrade, this lasted for about 10 minutes and then the units rebooted and were running OS 14.1 and AC 5.9.1. THIS IS NOT THE APPROVED METHOD OF UPGRADE. It's just my experience. Your results may vary, but this has been my experience so far. And a reminder. I bricked the first unit I tried this on but had the proper HW to allow for manual reprogramming of the SSD directly (outside of the Polisy). If you aren't prepared and things go sideways, you could be left with a unit that has to be sent into UD for recovery, so be prepared for the worst. BACKUPS!!!! Thanks for taking the time to share your detailed experience with the update on Polisy. I was just about to press that upgrade button (in AC) on my Polisy when I read your post. I have no time to resurrect the dead this week so I'm going to wait for Michel to work out the upgrade bugs before I hit that upgrade button. Quote
gviliunas Posted Monday at 06:35 PM Posted Monday at 06:35 PM @Guy Lavoie, I had one of the bricked Polisy units. After upgrade, the unit would respond to ping but nothing else. The Polisy was connected to a wired network. I opened a ticked and received an image and re-flash instruction. I re-flashed, ran the upgrade, and then reloaded my backup files and all is good. 1 Quote

Trying Nanoleaf bulb (thread) and GE bulb (wifi matter). No luck so far. As far as I can figure out so far, the only way to add a matter device to the ISY is through UD mobile. And the only way to add through UDMobile is via QR code. So far, I have had no success scanning any QR code with UD Mobile (error "could not get matter QR code rendezvous Type: 500"). I have tried QR codes that came with the devices, as well as QR codes generated by nest home app on android (iOS version does not seem to have the ability to generate QR codes for attached matter devices.). UD mobile, as near as I can tell so far, does not provide the ability to manually enter the code and only allows scanning QR codes. Edited Monday at 11:42 PM by oberkc Quote
