INSTEON 6-Button reconnect

Featured Replies

I had my EISY installation lose connection with all of my Insteon switches. And it has been so long since I have even opened the Admin Console that I can't seem to figure out how to reconnect the 6-button switch to other switches for the buttons 1 - 4 or A - D. Can someone show me where I can find doc on how to do it or let me know what I need to do. The switch works with the on and off but the sub switches don't. In my admin console the original switch names are there (although one is no loner on the network.

@aguden take a look here - https://wiki.universal-devices.com/ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Linking_a_KeypadLinc

However, if some of the buttons are there you might be able to right click the main node for the keypad and select "restore device".

When you say you lost connection with all the switches what happened? Did you remove the PLM or replace the PLM? There's a process to restore the PLM that might have brought things back, but if you have everything working except for this one device not sure what you had happen.

Sounds like a PLM issue. What do you see when you go into Tools -> Diagnostics -> PLM Info/Status ?

Thank you. I am not certain exactly what happened but I was able to restore the devices but the links to the 2 multi switches I had didn't come back and it had been so long since I programmed this that I was just looking for instructions. I have the 2 switches done an checked and now I only have to link 3 switches together that control my pool lights from 3 rooms. I found the directions for that and I will get it done tomorrow. I really appreciate your quick response. I don't use the forum often but it usually comes up with an answer.
